Jo Landron is one of the very top producers in Muscadet. He has been completely organic since 1999 and is now on the way to being certified Bio-Dynamic. He uses no chemicals of any kind in the vines, hand harvests, has natural yeast fermentations and plows all his vineyards. We are very pleased to be importing these wines directly from Jo, making these some of the greatest values in the store. Our container has recently landed and we are proud to present the following wines. The '93 is the demure younger sister in this lineup, soft and creamy, hesitant to open up, a passing hint of vanilla cream, sweet almond cake, subtle and delicate and utterly pleasing. Very limited.

- A white wine grape that originated in Burgundy, Melon de Bourgogne has, sadly, essentially vanished from that region. But fans of the varietal need not despair; its virtual disappearance from this pricy zip code has not prevented it from thriving in the Loire Valley, where it is made into the affordable, zippy, mineral, citrusy wines of Muscadet that pair so well with oysters. The best of those wines come from the region Muscadet de Sèvre et Maine. It is sometimes simply referred to as Muscadet.
