2006 Venica Collio Tocai Friulano "Ronco delle Cime"

SKU #1031248

100% Tocai Friulano, not to be confused with the Hungarian Tocai or the Tokay d'Alsace (which is pinot gris). Ronco delle Cime means vineyards of the peaks, and these vineyards are the highest in the property (300-400 meters) as well as the oldest (50 years old). This wine shows typical aromas reminiscent of fresh almonds, walnuts, candy and cloves. The taste has a velvet soft texture due to its inherent low acidity with flavors that remind one of quince, curry and bitter almonds.
