2006 Clos Fourtet, St-Emilion (Pre-Arrival)
90-93 points Robert Parker: "Clos Fourtet has produced a succession of brilliant wines since 2003. While the 2006 may not equal the prodigious 2005, it possesses a dark ruby/purple hue as well as sweet notes of creme de cassis, spring flowers, new oak, and a steely/mineral-like nuance in the background. Attractive, plump, opulent fruit on the palate is followed by a slight narrowing, but the finish is strong, with moderate tannin. Consume this beauty between 2008-2016." (04/07) K&L's notes - Sweet and balanced. Not overdone. Creamy middle. This is to buy. At UGC-long and deep-very fine sweet fruit. Very good structure-superb. *+ Ralph Sands: no question one of the stars of the right bank in 2006. Alex Brisoux: Sweet red fruit, clean wine, bright elegant, even a bit of minerality. Please note - 2006 Bordeaux futures are not in stock, but will arrive between Jan 2009 and Dec 2009. We will contact you for shipping instructions.
