Nicolas Feuillatte Brut Réserve Champagne (375ml)

SKU #1000219 90 points Wine Spectator

Lightly floral and fresh, this offers pretty notes of ripe Gala apple and glazed apricot, layered with subtle hints of almond paste, piecrust, honey and ground spice. Shows fine balance and a lively mousse, leading to a lingering finish. Drink now through 2018. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. (11/2013)

89 points Connoisseurs Guide

If never as far reaching and complex as those bottlings allowed extra time on the years, Feuilllatte's basic Brut is a complete and carefully crafted Champagne of fine balance and brightness. Its lightly yeasty elements are nicely matched by a trim bit of citrusy fruit, and both its energetic mousse and its keen sense of focus are sustained to the end. And, its very reasonable price earns it an extra tip of the hat. (12/2013)

89 points Wine Enthusiast

This non-vintage is a stylish wine, well balanced with its acidity, and concentrated with grapefruit and apple flavors. While light on the palate, it’s very fruity—a style that is best drunk now without further bottle age. (12/2013)

K&L Notes

20% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Pinot Meunier. Up to 250 crus make up the blend for Feuillatte's entry-level Brut Champagne, with 15-35% reserve wines for depth and consistency. Extended aging in the cellar lends extra body and creamy richness for a solid Champagne that delivers in quality for the price. The 375 ml bottle makes a thoughtful gift, party favor, or stocking stuffer, and it is nice to have on hand for those occasions when you would like a glass of Champagne but don't want to open a full bottle. It could also be the perfect thing to have on hand while traveling just in case the hotel mini-bar options aren't up to par!
