2014 Elk Cove Willamette Valley Pinot Gris
Review Date: 08-19-2015
All the 2014 whites we tasted on our recent trip to Oregon were outstanding. One of the stand outs was the 2014 Elk Cove Pinot Gris. Beautifully balanced wine with lovely citrus and melon flavors wrapped with a beautiful acidity. The wine just dances on your tongue. No waiting on this one, just pop and pour.

Duckhorn is known for Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc but the Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the tops in Napa Valley for 2012. Big bold Cabernet with ripe blue and red fruit, vanilla, cedar, cocoa and spice. A Cabernet for all Napa Valley fans.

2013 Bench Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Review Date: 04-28-2015
Twenty dollar Pinot Noir aren't the easiest thing to find these days. With grape prices going higher and higher, Pinot Noir finds itself in the $30-$35 range in many cases. The folks at Brack Mountain continually over-deliver on the Pinot Noir. Bright red fruits, lovely integration of spice, orange peel, vanilla and forest floor. A wine that over-delivers at $20.00.

Drappier "Carte d'Or" Brut Champagne
Review Date: 04-15-2015
A rich, toasty Champagne heavy with stone fruit and lively, tight bubbles. The 80% Pinot Noir shows itself with lively hints of red fruit and spice. Very well balanced with a creamy mid-palate and great length. One heck of a treat for $39.99.

2013 Textbook Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Review Date: 04-15-2015
Although it has taken a $ 5.00 per bottle jump in price, the 2013 Textbook Cabernet Sauvignon is still a good value. With Napa Valley fruit costs out of control, it's amazing to be able to drink a high quality wine at this price.

Roederer Estate Anderson Valley Brut Sparkling Wine
Review Date: 04-01-2015
One of the finest sparkling wines in the world. Made with great care and precision by winemaker/General Manager Arnaud Weyrich. A leaner style of sparkling wine with a minerality and depth punctuated by a lush mid palate. Approximately 60% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir. Aged a minimum of two years on the yeast. A tasty sparkling for any occasion.

Review Date: 02-24-2015
Year after year, this Cabernet based wine beats most wines in this price category in quality. Vibrant black and blue fruit wrapped by soft tannin, spice and just touches of Mocha and cedar. Lyeth was founded over 25 years ago and now is part of the BOISSET FAMILY ESTATES.
