What a beautiful champagne! This is the 2009-2010 vintage wine with a 12/2013 disgorgement. There is wonderful tension here between the cherry perfume from the pinot noir fruit and the racy acidity of the predominate chardonnay. The mouthfeel is creamy with a wonderful fine mousse. We drank it with swordfish with a black olive and dried tomato tapenade and it worked beautifully, yet I can image this working just as well with oysters or even a steamed lobster and butter. Given the beautiful fruit and acidity, this is a rose that has the potential to age well and become something really interesting. Lovely, lovely juice.

Wow! We had this champagne with dinner tonight and were very impressed. The Grand Cru pinot breeding showed very clearly in this rose -- yet with food it had lift and the complexity of the wine married well with our well-spiced bar-be-qued shrimp, wilted spinach and saffron rice dinner. Later, enjoying it alone, the weighty, black cherry, aromatic pinot fruit took over and replayed all of the wonderful dinner spices. Disgorged Winter 2012 and wonderful fresh, but plan to lay down a bottle or two to see how it ages since this wine has so much stuffing. So good I stayed up to write this review and order more before it is gone! Another keeper by Gary.
