Very casual wine drinkers. We dont know much, but we know what we like. I cant tell you all the nuances of a wine, but I can tell you if its good or bad.

2000 Haut Ferrand, Pomerol
Review Date: 04-01-2012
A delicious, fruity, and powerful (but not overpowering) Pomerol. I happen to be a big fan of cabernet franc, and the 20% in this wine shows. The wine was mild when opened, but given 1.5-2 hours to breathe, and this wine really shines. The flavor sits all over the mouth, with ripe fruit everywhere. Had this on the same night as some 2004 ridge, and the ridge could not hold a candle to it. It seemed chalky compared to the pomerol. A wonderful buy and great year and great wine to boot!

2009 Maison Jacques Bavard Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Embrazees"
Review Date: 04-01-2012
A delicious, light montrachet. We have tried many years, producers, and cru's and this rates among the best. This has the delicate nature of a fine montrachet, but does not fall short on taste, like most do. Up there with the pure Montrachet's and less than a quarter of the price (on the low end). Will be buying up quite a bit of this for drinking now. Unsure of whether it will get better with age, but thats because of lack of knowledge and experience.
