According to Robert Parker: "The lowest level wine from chateau Rayas, which is essentially an assemblage of all the rejected parts from Pignan, Fonsalette and Rayas, is called La Pialade, and the 2003 is one of the better ones I’ve tasted. The wine has medium ruby color and a big, sweet nose of strawberries and raspberries with a hint of cherry, pepper, and earth. It is a wine to drink during its first 2-3 years of life." (02/06)
