A wine rich in personality and character, its grapes are selected from the best fruit grown in Sondrio and Castione, the region which produces Valtellina Superiore Sassella. There, the silicic-calcareous soil was laboriously carried up on man-made terraces built onto the rocky hill-face. In Summer the rocks are warmed up by the sun, heating the soil to ensure a perfect ripening of the fruit.
