2003 Domaine Duffour Blanc Cotes de Gascogne

SKU #1011409

The rolling hills of the Gers departement are covered by sunflowers, corn, and plenty of vines for both armagnac and excellent wine. Michel Duffour resides in the small town of Lagraulet, and since the early 1980's has dedicated himself to producing quality red and white wines. Since taking over his father's property (Domaine de Saint Lannes), he has entirely replanted the vineyards with Gros Manseng, Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tannat, having kept the old Colombard and Ugni Blanc vines that he also uses for the production of armagnac. His excellent dry white from the 2003 vintage is made with french colombard, Ugni Blanc and Gros Manseng. It shows notes of melon, clean, lime blossoms, citus fruit, and engaging herbaceous note. This is a lip smaking delicious wine!
