We tasted this value in December and ordered it on the spot. Very sweet and lush on the palate. Ready to drink tonight. Blackberry fruits abound. Enjoy a Pomerol that is affordable.

A super value from the awesome 2009 vintage, this blend of 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Cabernet franc is yet another example of how great '09s are regardless of whether we're talking First Growth or relative no-name Bordeaux. We love white Bordeaux, especially from the 2006 vintage .Clyde thinks they are much more focused than their 2005 counterparts, wiith clean and crisp acidity. And the Lynch-Bages Blanc contains a small amount of muscadelle, which helps to give it a flowery nuance. This is one of the better Lynch Bages Blancs produced. This estate is one of K&L's veteran Bordeaux expert Ralph Sands' favorites. According to Ralph: "The style of Gruaud is unique, and the vineyard blend has a lot to do with this. Made from 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot and 2% Malbec, it is one of the few wines left in Bordeaux that still uses all five grape varietals."

Best from 2010 through 2014." 50% Merlot, 47% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc. Since 2003 this property has been on a roll with a complete makeover of the vineyards and winemaking facility. Their wines are quite rich and full for their modest prices.
