Drink now through 2020. (KM)" (7/2017) K&L Notes: While the 2011 vintage Hussonet took everyone by storm. Drink or hold" (5/2017) 90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The volume of the winery corresponds to the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon, which in some countries is also labeled as "Reserva" but is the same wine. This is a delicious, fresh, crisp, easy drinking rosé. 2016 Matetic "EQ" Sauvignon Blanc Casablanca Valley

92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The almost transparent 2016 EQ Coastal Sauvignon Blanc from Casablanca was produced with grapes grown at 12 kilometers from the Pacific Ocean on decomposed granite and mica soils. It fermented in stainless steel, barriques and concrete amphorae where it's kept with lees for four months, which represents the essence of what Matetic Sauvignon Blanc is about: citric, salty, with a balanced palate and good persistence. It's subtle and elegant, a restrained style of Sauvignon, more about the place (sea breeze, granite) than the variety. Beautifully textured, ...Read More »

Linear backbone gives this form and tension. It has the same character on the palate as well as cayenne and other spice. Loved the 2014 but this shows more fine-grained tannins. (5/2016) 91 points Vinous: "Brilliant ruby-red. A complex bouquet evokes fresh red berries, potpourri and incense, and a zesty mineral quality adds lift. 2016 Weon Carignane Maule Valley (Previously $14)

Carignane has definitely become one of the defining grapes of Chile. The style is usually a bit juicier and less earthy than that of much of France, but still retaining fresh acid structure, low pH, and occasionally a subtle green, eucalyptus twang. The Weon, from the Maule Valley, is initially a bit funky, in a good way, but turns juicy and fleshes out nicely on the mid-palate. A great introduction to Chilean Carignane.
