2014 Errazuriz Chardonnay Aconcagua Costa

95 points Decanter: "100% Chardonnay.Tasting notes: Subtle nutty nose with delicate notes of mango and pineapple. Concentrated, rich palate with white flowers, stone fruits, amazing almondy taste and cooked butter, and a refreshing salty tang. This is a beautiful young wine with already lots of personality, a great structure, long aftertaste and an incredible ageing potential." (6/2016) 93 points James Suckling: "A dense and rich white with sliced pear, apple and mineral character. Some lemon grass too. Full-bodied, rich and flavorful. Some phenolics give it structure." 2012 Matetic "Coralillo" Pinot Noir San Antonio Valley (Elsewhere $25)

90 points Wine & Spirits: "This is a simple Pinot Noir with fresh flavors of cherries and raspberries, delicious in its vibrant freshness. Bring it on your next beach vacation or drink it well chilled by the pool." (6/2014) 90 points Wine Enthusiast: "Cherry and raspberry aromas are clean and varietally pitch perfect. Plenty of lifting acidity and freshness accompany earthy, spicy flavors of raspberry and red plum that finish peppery, dry and with a note of toasty oak. (MS)" (11/2014) K&L Notes: Matetic is a pioneer in the production of cooler climate grape varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir in Chile's coasta... Read More »

2015 Domaine Bousquet Cabernet Sauvignon Tupungato Valley

91 points Wine & Spirits: "*Best Buy* Another great value from the Bousquet family, this is made from organic grapes grown in the chalky and stony soils of Gualtallary. The high altitude shows in a subtly herbal scent, while the wine focuses on ripe red fruit and spices. This is a textbook Cabernet, with the firm acidity and a solid structure, but it's also easy to drink and ready for steak." (4/2016)

2011 Viña Quebrada "Domus Aurea" Cabernet Sauvignon Maipo Valley

96 points Wine & Spirits: "Never a day goes by that I do not feel fortunate to work with these vines,” says Jean Pascal Lacaze, referring to the Quebrada de Macul vineyard; the Peña family planted the vines in 1970 and hired Lacaze to make the wine in 2002. Just on the outskirts of Santiago, Macul is where some of the first cabernet vines were planted in Chile, in the mid-19th century. Domus reflects that history in a cabernet with more of a sense of place than most of its neighbors in the Alto Maipo. In a fresh vintage such as 2011, the herbal, minty notes and red-fruit character ...Read More »

2014 Casa Silva Carmenère Colchagua Valley

90 points Wine & Spirits: "Blended from estate vineyards spread across Colchagua, this cuvée offers a clear picture of the region’s carmenère. It’s an enchanting red, with subtle herbal notes woven through round, rich red fruit. While the sweetness of the fruit makes it easy to drink now, it has the potential to become more complex over the next couple of years. Then open it for roast pork." (2/2016)

2014 Apaltagua "Envero" Carmenere Gran Reserva Colchagua Valley

This is fairly classic Chilean Carmenere, showing very good varietal characteristics as well as nicely balanced fruit. A small (roughly 10%) Cabernet Sauvignon component is blended in to this wine. Subtle green pepper aromas combine with black cherry on the nose, which lead to a palate of blackberry fruits with just enough of an herbaceous/savory streak to let you know what you are drinking. As always, this is one of the best Carmenere-based wines around for the price. (Joe Manekin, K&L South American Wine Buyer)

This wonderful value Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon is as old school and traditional as the burlap covered bottle itself! Red fruits combine with subtle leafy and earthy notes and balanced acidity in this well made, traditional Chilean Cab from the Maipo Valley. Terrific value. 2013 Garcia & Schwaderer "Vigno" Carignane Maule Valley

95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "95+ points. Felipe García and Connie Schwaderer started purchasing grapes from Jorge Ollé on Melozal in 2007, and in 2008 they bottled their first pure Carignan. Their first Vigno is from 2009. Their 2013 Vigno is from this same old vine, dry and organically farmed Carignan vineyard that was planted in 1958 on granite soils. The field has been worked by the same family since it was planted. As per their philosophy, they went for minimal intervention, without additions or corrections, and the wine matured in third\ use French barriques for two years. The ...Read More »

2013 Seña Red Blend Valle de Aconcagua

99 points James Suckling: "Superb aromas of black currants, rose petal and mint. Lavender and stones too. Full body with incredible fruit density. Complex, yet it's agile and bright. Tannins are perfectly polished. It builds on the palate and shows the structure of a first growth Bordeaux but remains so Chilean. A blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Carmenere, 12% Malbec, 10% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot. From biodynamically grown grapes. This is a joy to taste now but it will show itself in 2019. 2015 Leyda Sauvignon Blanc "Garuma Vineyard" Single Vineyard Leyda Valley

90 points Wine Enthusiast: "Briny, lightly green citrus aromas are round and pungent. A juicy, crisp mouthfeel is formed by citric acidity, while flavors of stony lime and green apple finish crisp and in fine form. (MS)" (11/2016) K&L Notes: Leyda is one of the key wineries in the San Antonio Valley, or the greater area wherein lies the smaller Leyda Valley. 2012 Gillmore "Vigno" Carignane Maule Valley

94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Vigno Carignan is pure Carignan from Loncomilla fermented in open stainless steel vats and aged for 18 months in barriques and oak foudres. This has the unmistakable nose of Gillmore: all flowers and aromatic herbs, hints of mint, even a touch of eucalyptus that is easy to recognize in a blind tasting. The palate shows some grainy, slightly dusty tannins that call for food, which paired with the high acidity (pH 3.28) makes it somehow austere and serious -- a bit of a contrast with the explosive nose. This is crunchy and filled with nervy acidity, the red fruit flavors are seductively refreshing, showing a lovely intensity." (3/2015) Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon is a serious, ripe and fresh, balanced and restrained Cabernet, with aromas of black fruit, some soil undertones and noticeable spiciness. (10/2012) 93 points Wine Spectator: "A dense, ripe and powerful style, with concentrated flavors of dark plum, blackberry and chocolate. Kingston farms 345 acres of vineyards on rolling hills, mostly producing grapes for other wineries. They keep a selection of the best plots of Syrah for this wine, a creamy red that shows the influence of the sea in its spiced red fruit flavors. It’s soft and friendly, with a distinctive meaty core that incites an appetite for barbecued brisket." (2/2016) 92 points James Suckling: "Aromas of leather, pepper and meat character. (5/2016) K&L Notes: This Chilean-by-way-of-Portola Valley, California family winery continues to make some of our favorite vinos Chilenos (Chilean wines) around. (5/2016) 91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The nose of the 2014 Chardonnay Legado Reserva reminded me of the character of the Quebrada Seca, it has similar freshness and mineral character. I'd be very curious to taste this next to the Quebrada Seca, as unfortunately I tasted them on separate occasions and with one month's difference.
