2010 Mount Eden "Wolff Vineyard" Edna Valley Chardonnay
Review Date: 4-30-2013
Although we've brought in less cases than usual during the last couple vintages, this wine has been both a staff and customer favorite for some time. The 2010 makes a strong return with an outstanding wine. Green apple, citrus, and pear dominate the rounder, fruit forward palate that has just enough acid to really keep the fruit in check. This is a very well rounded chardonnay that easily please any wine crowd.

2010 Fromm Winery "La Strada" Pinot Noir Marlborough New Zealand
Review Date: 4-23-2013
After selling a few bottles of the '08 over the last couple months, I was pleased to finally try the 2010. It did not disappoint! Black fruit, spice box, earthy and floral notes, and a solid, lingering finish makes for quite the drinking experience for $22. Do not miss out on these bottles!

2010 Tablas Creek "Esprit de Beaucastel Rouge" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Review Date: 4-1-2013
45% Mourvedre, 30% grenache, 21% syrah and 4% counoise. Spicy, floral perfumed nose. White pepper, mineral, blackberry, tar, and leather notes on the palate are finished with nice firm tanins on the back end. This is a big wine with plenty of depth and structure. Delicious!

2009 Tablas Creek "Esprit de Beaucastel" Paso Robles White Rhône Blend (375ml)
Review Date: 4-1-2013
60% Roussane/ 35% Grenache Blanc/ 5% Picpoul Blanc makes up this years blend. This wine is very floral and rich on the nose, with plenty of dense pear, nectarine, orange zest, and apricot flavors with a nice weighty texture. Big and bold but so fresh and bright, this is a fantastic wine as always.

This Merlot blew us away not only for the $14 price tag but for what is inside of the bottle! 2011 Talley Estate Arroyo Grande Chardonnay
Review Date: 3-28-2013
This has always been a favorite, go-to, under $25 Chardonnay to please everyone! It has the creamy, textural palate to please the bigger, richer style Chardonnay lovers yet always has the focused acidity to keep it bright and in check for fans of the leaner, not as oaky Chardonnay. Apple, pear, toast, and a light minerality make this a mouth watering wine to come back to time and time again!

2001 Qupe "Bien Nacido Vineyard Hillside Estate" Santa Maria Valley Syrah (1.5L)
Review Date: 3-28-2013
This was another favorite wine of ours from the ABC/Qupe lunch. Dense red cherry and blackberry, currant, plum, bacon fat, game, pepper, and well integrated tanins taking over all senses. I still can't wrap my head around how bright and youthful this 2001 Syrah is showing. Do not miss out on this wine for your next feast! This wine, especially in magnum, will be drinking well for easily another 5+ years!
