2011 La Mission Haut-Brion Rouge, Pessac-Léognan (1.5L) Pre-Arrival
Review Date: 5-21-2013
Very focused and tightly wound, with lots of mineral and cedar and sweet mid-core fruit. The tannins are rather soft for La Mission, integrated and velvety; it's still a big wine, but has finesse. I like it. 91-93 points.

2009 MacRostie Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Review Date: 4-15-2013
A ripe fruity wine in the mouth, with tons of bright high toned berry fruit, spice and a zippy acidity. This wine will pair well with, grilled meats and pasta dishes with heavier sauces. Give at least 30 minutes of air beforehand and the fruit will shine!
Price: $22.99

Really nice wine in that ripe, forward and juicy style! It is loaded with cassis and black currant fruit that finishes silky and spicy. Great for Cal Cab fans!

2010 Jack Brooks Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Review Date: 3-4-2013
Fans of ripe, and fleshy Cabernet will love this one! Aromas of black cherries and currants jump from the glass. The mid palate is full and fleshy with hints of toasty oak, chocolate and spice. Really delicious!

2004 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Review Date: 3-4-2013
Amazing wine that is showing well now and will age gracefully for another 10-15 years! It is loaded with black cherry, coco powder, leap pencil and red currant fruit. This wine is rich and lush in the mouth but sits on a firm structure. Tannins are ripe and integrated.

2008 Rocca Family "Grigsby Vineyard" Yountville Cabernet Sauvignon
Review Date: 3-4-2013
I tasted this wine in Napa last February and I thought it was showing excellent. It starts with a core of full ripe fruit, spice and jam, that is dense and sweet. Hints of toasty oak are evident along with ripe fruit tannins. All this ripeness is held in well together with a firm structure, plenty of acidity and balance. Fans of Cabernet from Napa will love this!

2002 Heitz Cellar "Trailside" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Review Date: 2-28-2013
Super lush and layered in the mouth, the 2002 Trailside shows amazing concentration and power but still comes off as sweet and fleshy. Underneath all the fruit are hints of minerals, spice and cedar. Drink this one now with some air but no rush. It should age well for another 10 years.

2004 Heitz Cellar "Trailside" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Review Date: 2-28-2013
Loaded with spice, mint and bright cherry fruit, this wine is dense and firm. Great mid texture and tons of complex flavors have yet to even come out of this wine. Will be great in 10 years if one can hold out that long!

2005 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Review Date: 2-28-2013
Classic Martha’s Vineyard aromas and flavors come through this vintage. Still quite young, this wine is seamless and balanced with a fresh lively texture. Tannins are firm and this wine should really flesh out over the next 5-10 years. One for the cellar for sure!
