2012 Geyser Peak Sauvignon Blanc
Review Date: 5-23-2013
I always think of Geyser Peak Sauvignon Blancs being chock full of bright citrus fruit but I was more than pleasantly surprised when I tasted the 2012 to find some beautiful tropical and melon notes. Paired with a fuller than expected palate, this clean, crisp white is the ideal wine to enjoy all summer long.
Price: $7.99
2010 Arnot-Roberts "Fellom Ranch Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon
Review Date: 5-21-2013
I hate to be brutally honest, but I was sadly recovering from an awful head-cold when I had the pleasure of tasting with these two glorious winemakers at their Healdsburg winery. But as stuffed up as I was, I could still smell the amazing aromatics coming from this Monte Bello adjacent vineyard. Beautiful aromatics of sweet savory herbs are matched by the commanding presence of ripe candied cherries, tobacco and delicate purple flowers. This wine is so beautifully old world in its elegance and finesse, even the most hardened new world naysayer would fall head over heels for this Santa Cruz Mountains cabernet sauvignon.
Price: $79.99
2011 Yves Cuilleron Syrah Vin de Pays des Collines Rhodaniennes

I'm such a sucker for spice and this de-classified "rhone" syrah is packed to the brim with loads of white pepper, black currents and bright blood orange.

2010 Hirsch Vineyards "San Andreas Fault" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Review Date: 3-1-2013
The "San Andreas Fault" is their flagship wine and this wonderful old-world style pinot noir is the perfect example of how beautifully elegant California pinot noir can be in cooler vintages. Elegant notes of pomegranate, bright cherry and ripe raspberry pair harmoniously with the earthier sweet forest floor and smokey flavors that emerge on the finish.

2010 Windrun San Luis Obispo County Pinot Noir

The Windrun Pinot Noir has an extremely supple and smooth mouthfeel of black cherry. The rich red fruit and ample acidity on the finish make this the perfect wine to sip alone and to have with dinner.

Michel Loriot "Cuvee Reserve" Brut Champagne
Review Date: 9-29-2012
Exotic spice, tropical fruit and ripe citrus notes give this cuvee a fresh lifted air, but it stays true to its Meunier roots with a richness that keeps this champagne from being too angular.
