Bruno Michel "Les Roses" Brut Rosť Champagne
Review Date: 10-17-2013
The Bruno Michel Les Roses will speak to red wine lovers. The characteristics are so similar to a Pinot Noir such as ripe cherry, orange peel, earth and spice. This has the stuffing to pair with many foods. While this is not a Champagne for every palate, it is a special treat for some of us!
2012 Au Bon Climat/K&L Wine Merchants "Bien Nacido Vineyard" Santa Maria Valley Pinot Noir
Review Date: 10-1-2013
If you love drinking Pinot Noirs, but have a hard time finding a delicious one that wonít break the bank, look no further! This wine is loaded with very bright, high toned red fruits, such as cherry and cranberry. There is also a lovely floral quality, with a touch of herbal qualities and spice. All of this combined with a nice medium acidity, and youíve got an outstanding Pinot Noir! Tastes great now after decanting, but will definitely improve with some age. This is a great choice for your holiday parties. Buy it now before itís gone!
Bruno Michel Premier Cru Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne
Review Date: 9-25-2013
The Bruno Michel Premier Cru Brut Blanc de Blancs is a Champagne that continues to stand out in our staff tastings. Iím in love with the crisp and bright citrus and apple notes. There is a note of toasted bread, but it is well balanced in focused and complex Champagne. Perhaps the best part of this Blanc de Blancs is that it tastes like it should be drank during a special occasion, but priced to drink on any occasion.
2010 Cantemerle, Haut-Mťdoc
Review Date: 9-20-2013
For as young as this wine is, it is already showing its great potential. This wine is already displaying elegant floral aromas and blue fruit, with integrated juicy tannins. I look forward to laying down the 2010 Cantemerle for a minimum of 5 years, and enjoying it for many years following!
2010 Potensac, Mťdoc
Review Date: 9-19-2013
Donít let the price deceive you, this wine has the stuffing to age well. Upon aeration, flavors of dark currants, cedar, forest floor and anise are coaxed out of the glass. With age, I believe this wine will impress us with a powerful elegance.
2010 NXNW Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Review Date: 9-19-2013
This Cabernet has a lot of structure on for $20! Plentiful dark fruits, spice, mint, anise, and tobacco will entice your taste buds. This is one of those rare K&L treasures that you will be happy you took a chance on. Buy some before itís gone!
2012 Anselmo Mendes Alvarinho "Contacto" Minho
Review Date: 9-14-2013
I was already a sucker for Alvarinho wines, but this one from Anselmo Mendes has won my heart and my palate. This wine is bursting with lovely stone fruits and minerality in perfect balance. The lively acidity, spice and citrus pithe will wake up your taste buds. There is so much complexity in this wine that it will hold up to many foods well. Serve this at a dinner party and amaze your friends!
CampeÚn K&L Exclusive Blanco Tequila 750ml
Review Date: 8-24-2013
This Tequila is so clean, smooth and exciting; I will be comparing this to all other Blanco's from now on. I recommend either sipping this by itself or with a little lime and agave nectar, but nothing more. You don't want to miss out on the complex subtle lime, minerals, and pepper characteristics. Delicioso!

Review Date: 8-24-2013
We are FINALLY seeing some nice, easy drinking Pinot Noirs under $20 and this is one of them! This wine is loaded with juicy cherry, orange zest, cola, and a hint of white pepper. It's a great everyday drinking Pinot and I'm stocking up!
2012 Les Roches Touraine Blanc
Review Date: 7-20-2013
Looking for a zesty, easy drinking white wine for your next summertime festivity? The Les Roches Touraine Blanc is a great choice. All of the components are well balanced without any of them overpowering the other. Notes of tropical and citrus fruits, grass, with nice acidity. At a price like this, I will be stocking up and suggest you do the same!
Fleury Brut Rosť Champagne
Review Date: 6-13-2013
If you love Brut Rose Champagnes as much as I do, then you HAVE to try this one from Fleury! With notes of elegant strawberry, vanilla and spice, all wrapped up with balanced acidity. To sweeten the deal, Fleury is a direct import, so this elegant Champagne is a great value!
2009 Au Bon Climat "Talley Vineyard-Santa Barbara Historic Vineyards Collection" San Luis Obispo County Chardonnay
Review Date: 5-23-2013
This is an elegant Chardonnay at a great price! Pretty aromatics of white flowers and a touch of citrus made me intrigued without even taking a sip. The floral and soft citrus notes follow through on the palate with a slight toasty oak, but very well integrated. The mouthfeel is delightfully creamy and smooth. Pair this Chardonnay with a roasted chicken tonight!
2011 Palmina Santa Barbara County Malvasia Bianca
Review Date: 4-3-2013
One whiff of this Malvasia Bianca, and I imagined myself lounging on a tropical beach sipping on this delicious wine! Aromas of tropical fruits and white flowers leap out of the glass, carrying on to the palate with a creamy, yet lively acidic mouth feel. I will be drinking a lot of this wine this summer!
