Shirosasa Nigori Sake 300ml
Review Date: 8-13-2011
This sake is unfiltered and should be shaken before serving. The Shirosasa looks almost like a glass of milk and has a creamy and sweet taste. It is soft and very easy to drink.

2001 Lanessan, Haut-Médoc
Review Date: 8-1-2011
If you are looking for a Bordeaux that is mature and drinking well now, the 2001 Lanessan is good choice. It has a nice and interesting aromas of a classic Bordeaux. In the mouth, it has wonderful fruit that is balanced out with earthy flavors and ends with a nice dry finish. The 2001 Lanessan will go well with beef or pork and is a steal at only $19.99.

Louis Roque Vieille Prune 750ml
Review Date: 7-4-2011
This has got to be one of the most interesting spirits that I have tasted in a long time. The Roque Vieille Prune is, however, more than interesting, it is very good. It has seductve prune aromas that lead to prune and aged cognac like flavors. The Roque Vieille Prune should delight and surprise even the most jaded spirits drinker.

Michel Loriot "Cuvee Reserve" Brut Champagne
Review Date: 7-4-2011
A wonderful Champagne that is made from 100% Pinot Meunier grapes. It is medium bodied but has a nice roundness and subtle hint of nuts. The Loriot Reserve is dry and could be enjoyed alone or with lighter foods.I like this Champagne very much and am glad that we sell it at K&L.

El Maestro Sierra Amontillado 12 Year Jerez de la Frontera (375ml)
Review Date: 3-7-2011
The El Maestro 12 year old Amontillado is a wonderful sherry and well worth the price. It is rich and nutty, like one would expect, but also has subtle spicy undertones that help make this Amontillado so interesting. It is absolutely delicious and should go well with nuts, cheese and some chocolate deserts.

Valdespino "Inocente" Single Vineyard Fino Jerez (375ml)
Review Date: 1-3-2011
This is a delicious and interesting Fino that would go well with some hard to match foods like olives, nuts or soups. The Valdespino Inocente is clean, crisp and dry like one would expect, but it also has a wonderful salty flavor like a good Manzanilla. This Sherry is delicate and fresh and should be consumed in one setting.

Blade Gin 750ml
Review Date: 11-1-2010
Blade Gin is a great addition to the craft gins that are now avaible. Like most of the craft gins, the aromas and flavors are more pronouced than larger production gins. What makes Blade Gin unique and so delicious, are the pronouced soft citrus flavors that make it a great gin to mix in cocktails. But it is so good it tastes wonderful on the rocks.

Ardbeg Corryvreckan Islay Single Malt Whisky 750ml
Review Date: 9-6-2010
Another great addition to the line of single malts from Ardbeg. The Corryvreckan has the famous Ardbeg smoke and peat but is a unique product in its own right. The mouth feel is rich and round with more weight than I had expected. This blends very nicely with the smoke and peat to make one great beverage.

Kuchan Indian Blood Peach Eau De Vie 375ml
Review Date: 8-2-2010
Drinking the Kuchan Peach Eau De Vie is a wonderful way to top off a dinner or have a light drink earlier in the evening. It has bright fresh stone fruit aromas and a nice soft peachy flavor. There is a hint of alcohol that one finds is eau de vies but it is not strong and unpleasant. The Kuchan Peach Eau De Vie is dry and subtle, somewhat delecate, and an excellent and delicious spirit.
Price: $35.99

This is one of my favorite Cognacs. The reason is that it has everything that I think a good Cognac should have. The Dudognon Reserve is soft, elegant and packed full of delicate flavors. The finish just lingers and goes on and on, showing that this is a high quality spirit.
