Michel Huard Hors d'Age '99, '92, '90 Calvados 750ml
Review Date: 1-9-2012
This is a dynamite Calvados that should please any lover of the wonderful apple brandies from the Calvados region. It has bright apple flavors that are balanced out with a supple roundness and complexity that is a little like a nice cognac. There are delicious almost wood and butter like flavors in the finish.

2002 Bruno Michel "Cuvee Millésime" Brut Champagne
Review Date: 11-7-2011
A luxery Champagne at an affordable price. Bruno Michel 2002 is full bodied with layers of wonderful bright flavors. While it has nice fruit, it ends with a nice dry crisp finish. The 2002 Cuvee Millesime drinks very good now but could also be aged for a few more years.

St. George Terroir Mt. Tam Gin 750ml
Review Date: 10-3-2011
What an exciting idea. Distill a gin using some botanicals from a local area. The St. George Terrior Mt. Tam is more that a good project, it also tastes good and expands the bonderies of flavors for a gin. There are aromas of juniper and bay laurel that are followed by flavors of juniper, bay laural, sage and fir. A gin to think about and enjoy.

St. George Dry Rye Gin 750ml
Review Date: 10-3-2011
This is a bright and full bodied gin. There are plenty of juniper aromas and flavors but not too much to get in the way of this being a wonderful drink. There are aromas of juniper and spice that are followed by malty and spicy (black pepper and juniper, etc.) flavors. I really liked this gin and think that it will taste great on the rocks.

St. George Botanivore Gin 750ml
Review Date: 10-3-2011
There seems to always be something exciting and delicious coming from the people at St. George. The Bontanivore is a lovely and aromatic offering. It is complex with layers of enticing aromas but is not light or flavorless. If I had to choose a word for this gin it would "elegant". I would also add delicious.

Rattray's Selection 19 Year Old Batch No. 01 Cask Strength Blended Single Malt Scotch Whisky 750ml
Review Date: 9-23-2011
We don't see a lot of blended single malt whiskeys. If they could be as good as the Rattray Selection maybe we should. This is a rich and round malt with layers of rich, sherry barrel-influenced flavors. The Bowmore in the blend provides some smoky flavor that does not dominate but adds harmony to this tasty spirit.

Antech "Brut Nature" Blanquette de Limoux
Review Date: 9-23-2011
This a wonderful sparkling wine. It is bright and full of refreshing crisp flavors. There is no dosage but the Antech Brut Nature is not overly dry and bitter. It is, instead, a lively and dry wine. Great alone, it should also go well with light foods.
