1970 Glenfarclas K&L Exclusive Single Barrel Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky 750ml
Review Date: 12-27-2012
This is a wonderful expression of old single malt, not for the feint of heart and only for those looking for a unique and amazing whiskey experience. There is almost no fruit or grain flavors left on this aged beauty, just thick, black, malty flavors of chocolate and coffee that coat your mouth and keep on going. Add a little water to this 57% beast- it will help reveal what softer flavors the whiskey still has to offer.

2011 Brooks Willamette Valley Pinot Noir
Review Date: 12-27-2012
This little family producer does it again with this very tasty and inexpensive pinot! 2011 is a very classic vintage in Oregon, with dark fruits and good structure present in many bottles I've tasted. Brooks' 2011 definitely shows these characteristics, but is still the rich and approachable pinot we've all come to love and expect from them.

2010 Castillo de Monseran Garnacha Cariñena
Review Date: 12-27-2012
This is, by far, our best deal for affordable red wines in the store. This little garnacha is full of rich, blue fruit with light tannins and a little spice on the finish. The perfect party wine!

2010 Montirius "Garrigues" Vacqueyras
Review Date: 12-27-2012
The 2010 Montirius wines are beautiful and full of finesse, and priced extremely well for the quality of wine! These are bright, spicy, and elegant wines from a great vintage- all biodynamic and aged with no oak.

2011 Bench Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

Rich red fruit, nice acidity, and bolder flavors define this pinot from the old winemaker of olivet lane. This is a great pinot buy for sonoma lovers!

2009 Yamhill Valley Vineyards Estate Willamette Valley Pinot Noir
Review Date: 11-13-2012
This is a great pinot for under $20 (definitely a tough price point for great pinots nowadays). Centered around red fruit with a little earthy spice, the wine's real quality is found in its elegance and bright acidity. This is a soft, bright, and tasty pinot with a long, lingering finish.

2009 Dunn Vineyards Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Review Date: 10-2-2012
A classic Dunn from a great California vintage! While not all from estate fruit, the wine is definitely Dunn style with a muscular structure of oak and tannin and flavors of dark fruit and bell pepper spice. This one is for the cellar and will get better with age!

2009 Storybook Mountain "Mayacamas Range" Napa Valley Zinfandel
Review Date: 6-27-2012
This is my favorite of the mayacamas range series from storybook that they've put out in recent years. 2009 is a great vintage and it shows in this release- which has loads of rich, briary zinfandel red fruit and wonderful pepper spice on the finish.

Ariston Aspasie Brut Rosé Champagne
Review Date: 2-2-2012
This bottle rivals other champagne roses that are two or three times as expensive! It is filled with floral aromas and fresh fruit flavors, with a dry finish. Fun, bright, and delicious - the ariston rose is always one of the winery's best releases.

2009 Château de Montfaucon "Monsieur Le Baron de Montfaucon" Vin de Pays du Gard
Review Date: 1-13-2012
Once again montfaucon has crafted a wine that is far superior to many other rhone greats which are twice as expensive. This is a gorgeous and masterful chateauneuf -style wine, with loads of complexity, age-ability, and spicy nuiances.

ArteNOM Seleccion 1146 Anejo Tequila 750ml
Review Date: 12-24-2011
It is tough in the tequila world to find small production, unique expressions of terroir and artful distillation, but that is exactly what the arte nom line of tequilas is all about. They each come from a single plantation of agave and a single distillery. They are all wonderful, but I'm an anejo guy, and this beauty is rich and lush with wonderful oaky notes over pure citrus flavors. If you're a real tequila fan- you have to try this.

Glengoyne 17-year-old Single Malt Whisky 750ml
Review Date: 9-22-2011
17 year highland at $50! What!? The barrel age on this wonderful whisky shows - it offers a rich and malty body with candied fruit flavors and a dark, toasty finish. A whisky this mature at this price will not last long!
