2012 Ermacora Ribolla Gialla Colli Orientali del Friuli
Review Date: 3-20-2014
Ribolla Gialla enjoys a long history as one of Friuli's oldest indigenous vines, this extremely unusual wine would be worth buying solely on account of its very low price, but once you have tried this unusual grape varietals, you be back for more. The palate is intense and full with a supple body, echoing the wine's varietals character, exotic and honeyed bliss, floral notes, hints of flint and citrus, delivering several complex layers that transform as they evolve in the glass, the finish is dry with lots of acidity and pleasantly fresh.
2009 Viña Eguía Reserva Rioja
Review Date: 2-4-2014
There is plenty of fruit, good acidity, soft tannin structure, some minerality and a lengthy finish. The combination of blue/dark fruit and the black cherry comes from the Tempranillo. I also find some tar and roses on the lengthy finish.
2011 Corte Rugolin Valpolicella Classico
Review Date: 2-21-2013
Elena and Frederico Coati, a brother and sister team who make dynamite wines, are responsible for this great and affordable wine, they make sensational wine at every level. This is their basic level Valpolicella, but there is nothing basic about this wine. It is full-bodied and elegant and aromatic and has great balance classic fruitiness with an excellent finish (and only 12.5 alcohol, yes, someone remembers how to do that). Perfect for spring evenings and delicate pasta or a roasted chicken.
Ca de Medici "Terra Calda" Lambrusco
Review Date: 8-25-2012
it’s back!!! And Wooohooo. Greg and I discovered this winery at VinItaly many years ago and found the distributor and introduced this to many happy clientele (we sold a lot of this) then it stop coming into California, a very sad day. I missed this Lambrusco, very dry, some cherry cola and lots of spice, the prefect wine for the last days of summer.
Deligeroy Cremant de Loire Brut
Review Date: 8-25-2012
On the nose you will find generous fruit, releasing hints of apples and peaches. The palate has wonderful balance and elegance, dry & crisp, but admirable fullness and length, closely mirroring the nose. This is an excellent aperitif for all social occasions.
Launois "Cuvée Reserve" Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne
Review Date: 12-14-2011
This is one of the best Champagnes in our entire stock, all Chardonnay and all Grand Cru from the villages of Mesnil, Oger, Cramant and Avize. Buy now, it will be gone soon !
Ariston Aspasie "Carte Blanche" Brut Champagne

Antech "Brut Nature" Blanquette de Limoux
Review Date: 6-16-2011
For the first days of summer, there is nothing better then bubbles. This is Straw yellow and has a creamy mousse with a delicate, long-lasting bead on the nose you will find releasing hints of apples and tropical fruit, plus wisteria blossoms, wonderful balance and elegance. The Palate is bone DRY, crisp with admirable fullness and length. This will also work great with O.J. for your Sunday morning brunch. This is a wine of great balance and elegance and an excellent aperitif for all social occasions.
Barbolini "Lancillotto" Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro
Review Date: 9-3-2010
and now for something completely different. This is my favorite red wine for warm weather, (think Indian summer). The purple froth on this is really amazing to watch rise in your glass. A little more intense perfume on the nose and the palate has lots of spice, black cherries, red currants and a hint of dustiness to add to its complexity. Give this a good chill and pop the cork and pour yourself a big glass.
Blason Isonzo Bianco (3L Bag-in-aBox) (cannot ship)
Review Date: 4-6-2010
Last year this was $19.99! Back by popular demand. I think there is no tastier, more versatile white wine in our store right now. This is three liters (that’s like four bottles), and there is nothing that beats this Pinot Bianco for value and pure drinkability. It combines the body and weight of Chardonnay (to which it is distantly related) and the minerality and freshness of Pinot Grigio. The perfect cocktail white. We sold out of this quickly last summer, so buy a couple of these. This is a great wine to serve at your Labor Day party, for camping, or just for the last warm days of an Indian summer. Sadly, we cannot ship this wine.
