2010 Marco Porello "Camestri" Arneis Roero
Review Date: 7-9-2011
I love Arneis from the Roero, this grape and region get along very well. I have made many friends with this producer over the past few years that K & L has been carrying it. The first thing that hits your tongue is white peaches then lots of mineratily, balanced with a fare amount of acidity and very long finish. This is the main white grape of Piedmont, and is exactly what you want on a warm evening, this wine is at its best when served with the antipasti, stuffed peppers or fettuccini alfredo!
Price: $16.99

Antech "Brut Nature" Blanquette de Limoux
Review Date: 6-16-2011
For the first days of summer, there is nothing better then bubbles. This is Straw yellow and has a creamy mousse with a delicate, long-lasting bead on the nose you will find releasing hints of apples and tropical fruit, plus wisteria blossoms, wonderful balance and elegance. The Palate is bone DRY, crisp with admirable fullness and length. This will also work great with O.J. for your Sunday morning brunch.
This is a wine of great balance and elegance and an excellent aperitif for all social occasions.
Price: $12.99
2008 Reale "Cardamone" Colli di Salerno
Review Date: 12-9-2010
This is Piedirosso & a little Tintore di Tramonti, it starts off on the nose with raspberry, bacon fat and floral aromas of violets and spicy lavender, followed by a core of pomegranate. The wine finishes with long, soft tannins and hints of thyme and LOTS of white pepper. YUM !
Price: $21.99

The Palate is crisp, and fruity, admirable fullness and length, closely mirroring the nose. This is a wine of great balance and elegance and an excellent aperitif for all social occasions.

Barbolini "Lancillotto" Lambrusco
Review Date: 9-3-2010
and now for something completely different. This is my favorite red wine for warm weather, (think Indian summer). The purple froth on this is really amazing to watch rise in your glass. A little more intense perfume on the nose and the palate has lots of spice, black cherries, red currants and a hint of dustiness to add to its complexity. Give this a good chill and pop the cork and pour yourself a big glass.
Price: $12.99
Blason Isonzo Bianco (3L Bag-in-aBox) (cannot ship)
Review Date: 4-6-2010
Last year this was $19.99! Back by popular
demand. I think there is no tastier, more versatile white wine in our store right now. This is three
liters (that’s like four bottles), and there is nothing that beats this Pinot Bianco for value and pure
drinkability. It combines the body and weight of Chardonnay (to which it is distantly related) and
the minerality and freshness of Pinot Grigio. The perfect cocktail white. We sold out of this quickly
last summer, so buy a couple of these. This is a great wine to serve at your Labor Day party, for
camping, or just for the last warm days of an Indian summer. Sadly, we cannot ship this wine.
