Pear and tart peach in front with toasted oak, and stones coming in through the finish. Nice and crisp too.

Cherry and plum in front. A touch of mocha and lots of spice with some clove along with a bit of cola, anise, tobacco leaf, and dried flowers through the middle. Some sweetness accompanied by the spicy depth on the finish.

Sweet cherry, blackberry, raspberry in front. Herbs, earth, and minerals, with some floral, smokey, spicy nuances. Very interesting depth in the middle with subtle hints of a cheese cavern or dairy barn through the finish.

Shows apple, pear, pineapple, and lime in front. It is lightly floral, with a bit of melon and honey. Some guava and lemongrass is added to the mix. To me, this is a great example of a Napa Sauvignon Blanc, which I prefer over New Zealand's typical style. However, it does have a bit of the crisp tropical notes of a NZ wine coming through, making it a well rounded and accessible wine to a variety of tastes. This wine was very close to receiving 4 points. A great bargain!

Loads of dark berry jam and some bits of anise and cola both on the nose and palate. Very good oak integration with sweet vanilla lingering. Quite spicy too. A fruity red that is great with food. Paired extremely well with mushroom burger and rosemary potatoes. Should be very nice, gaining another half of a point in a couple of years.

Raspberry, blackberry, and licorice up front. This is grapey, jammy, peppery, but with well-rounded vanilla, oak and spice in the mid-palate that brings nice harmony. There is a bit of cocoa and cola on the finish as well.

Black cherry, blackberry and licorice are up front with smoke, graphite, and a touch of cocoa and mushroom gliding in through the finish. Another half point is added to my score as it gets an hour (or two) in the glass, which really allows it to soften and reveal more complexity. Great, balanced, young Cabernet that shows the awesome quality and value that comes out of this AVA.

Blackberry and plum are in front, bit smoky on finish, high alcohol. The alcohol overpowers the cherries and spice in the middle. Otherwise, a nice example of the GSM blend.

Meaty and toasty, some pear in front with subtle floral notes on finish. I did not find this particularly enjoyable. The peach and tangerine as read about in the Spectator and Parker reviews were hidden to me by the stony, caustic, minerality, which could have been tamed a bit my some malo conversion (in my opinion). Probably a decent match to a pork loin as the saltiness of the dish may compliment the profile of this wine.

Cherry and strawberry in front with mocha, anise and cola in the middle. Finish is earthy and fairly soft. Dry but finishes sweet. Really great stuff. May be even better in a year or two as it rounds out a bit.

Lemon-lime, melon and apple. Some orange peel and a bit of pine linger. Highly preferred over the "Contours". Drink it young.

Anise and cola show up over the plum and cherry along with a bit of blackberry. Bitter cocoa and minerals on a round, grapey finish.
