2013 Talley/K&L Wine Merchants Edna Valley Chardonnay
Review Date: 11-2-2014
The Chardonnay of the holiday season! This chardonnay, blended from five select barrels off the Oliver's vineyard, is drinking incredibly well right now! Such great focus, balance, and purity of fruit without over-the-top richness, this Talley wine reminded the staff of Chassagne Montrachet! Do not miss it!

2013 Bedrock Wine Company "Ode to Lulu" Rosé
Review Date: 7-17-2014
There is no question Morgan hit a home run with the 2013 Bedrock Rose! Aromatically enticing with notes of fresh picked strawberries and herbal spices with mint, wild raspberry, and watermelon following and the creamy, yet bright, mineral streaked palate. This wine is so focused and texture driven it really is incredible. Plus, it is extremely food friendly to boot! Open a bottle and you will be on your second glass before you know it!

2011 McPrice Myers "Cremant de la Cote" Paso Robles Grenache Noir Brut
Review Date: 5-28-2014
Made from 100% Grenache Noir from Paso Robles, this is truly a unique sparkling wine! Aged in stainless steel, this has a creamy mid palate full of golden apple and pear fruit, with a nice mineral component. While rich and creamy, this wine has a serious, dry finish.

2009 Kenneth Volk Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon
Review Date: 5-21-2014
From Star Ranch & Carmody McKnight vineyards. Ripe, but fresh currant and blackberry fruit, vanilla, blueberry, mild tannic finish. Toasty vanilla notes, but not overly sweet. Solid Cab!

2012 Clendenen "Stallion Vineyard" Santa Ynez Valley Sauvignon Blanc
Review Date: 5-20-2014
Mineral driven, floral, and full of tropical and citrus fruit. The wine is round on the palate, yet has solid acidity and chalky minerality. Once again, great balance and depth from a Clendenen Family wine.

2007 Clendenen "Le Pip" Santa Maria Valley Nebbiolo
Review Date: 5-20-2014
Domestic Nebbiolo is quite hard to make well; there is a reason we only have two producers! The Le Pip Nebbiolo, full of Bien Naciedo fruit at 1000 ft elevation, is quite the exception! Rich, powerful, and full of tannin (as the varietal is known for), this wine is full of wild cherry, currant, and rose hips. Plenty of structure and depth, with great focus and round tannins, the Pip is a hell of a wine. It is approachable now, but will reward a few more years in the cellar.

2008 Clendenen Family Vineyards "Le Bon Climat" Santa Maria Valley Pinot Noir
Review Date: 5-20-2014
This is quite a Pinot Noir! Lush and rich, yet vibrant, wild cherry and berry fruit, with cola and mushroom notes, and a touch of wood spice. 25% whole cluster lends a savory quality of fruit, earth and herbs and a lingering, driving finish. This wine will not quit!

2006 Clendenen "Rancho La Cuna" Santa Maria Valley Syrah/Viognier
Review Date: 5-20-2014
The 2005 was a hit among both staff and customers last year, and the 2006 will not disappoint! Very Cote-Rotie like, once again, with a touch of Viognier floral notes complementing bacon fat, peppered jerky, black pepper, and dark red fruit from the Syrah. Deliciously rich and savory wine that is approachable now but will drink for quite a few years to come!

2009 Ici/La-Bas "Les Reveles-Elke Vineyard" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir
Review Date: 5-20-2014
Ripe cherry, raspberry, oak toast on the nose. The palate is quite savory, full of spicebox, wild red fruit, and underbrush. Medium weight, with a long, earthy finish. Anderson Valley fruit really shows here!

This wine blew us away! Strawberry and pomegranate fruit, mild black tea leaf texture, and bright acid lead to a very refreshing rose. It was an instant staff favorite!

2011 Kenneth Volk Touriga Nacional
Review Date: 5-12-2014
This wine is very floral, rose and violet notes, alongside black cherry and blackberry fruit. The palate is leaner, but full of fresh currant, rich cherry and plum fruit, with an earthy, lightly tannic finish. A very interesting and delicious wine!

2011 Vina Robles "Red 4" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Review Date: 4-30-2014
Rich, perfumed fruit jumps from the glass carrying over to a palate of baked blackberry and plum, candied cherry, earth, cigar box smoke & spice, and soft tannins. Great weight and texture are this wine's calling card and it will be a hit at any summer BBQ.

2012 Talley Estate Arroyo Grande Pinot Noir
Review Date: 4-30-2014
Blend of Rincon & Rosemary vineyards aged on French Oak. Fresh black cherry, cola notes, a stem tinge, and a great earthy, mineral streak lend to the complexity and balance of this Pinot Noir. While delicious now, patience with this wine will be very rewarding!
