2012 Alfaro "A" Estate Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir
Review Date: 6-10-2014
I love selling this wine, as it is EASILY one of the best $20 Pinots sold at K&L. Great ripeness of fruit, balanced by fresh acidity and gentle tannin. Purity of fruit and lovely texture make this a Pinot everyone can get behind!

Review Date: 5-13-2014
Guided by a passion for natural winemaking and a commitment to biodynamic agriculture, the folks at Ambyth are making some of the most compelling wines in all of California. The amphora rosé is incredibly unique. Notes of rose, cinnamon, iron and blood orange complement what is an ethereal palate. Texturally intriguing with bright acidity and overall intensity, this wine offers drive and loads of character.

2009 Ici/La-Bas "Les Reveles-Elke Vineyard" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir
Review Date: 5-9-2014
This wine really displays the more savory-side of Pinot Noir. Notes of dried fennel, flowers and and exotic spice, this wine is showing some development in the bottle. Earthy to the core, this Pinot also exhibits classic red fruit aromas and flavors on the palate, as well as a bright refreshing acidity. A great bottle to drink and ponder over the course of an evening!

2008 Ici/La-Bas "Victoria - Elke Vineyard" Anderson Valley Chardonnay
Review Date: 5-9-2014
Stylistically, this rich and unctuous chardonnay is evocative of the wines of Meursault. The oak is highly present on the nose, followed by a long, rich and broad palate impression. There is plenty of fresh acidity and mineral tones here, as well as unexpected refinement on the back end. It all comes together for a very decadent and highly enjoyable experience.

2011 McPrice Myers "Cremant de la Cote" Paso Robles Grenache Noir Brut
Review Date: 5-9-2014
A unique sparkling wine composed of 100% Grenache Noir, with no dosage added. The nose offers notes of bright raspberry fruit, toasted brioche and biscuit. On the palate, this wine is rich and creamy, but finishes chalky and dry with hints of hazelnut. A very serious sparkling wine, that is absolutely worth trying!

2010 Qupe "Bien Nacido Hillside Estate" Santa Maria Valley Roussanne
Review Date: 5-7-2014
This Roussanne achieves the perfect balance of richness and precision. Offering notes of fleshy orchard fruit and honey, its wonderful texture follows through on the palate. This is a must-try for fans of Rhone Valley whites.

2011 Pierce Ranch San Antonio Valley Graciano
Review Date: 5-7-2014
Very few people grow Graciano in California, and even fewer are able to capture the essence of this unique varietal. The folks at Pierce Ranch undoubtedly lead the pack. A lovely nose of dusty dark plum, blood orange and exotic spice, the palate offers medium weight and sappy texture. Gentle acid and tannin frame this wine, making it a unique red that everyone will love!

2010 Vina Robles Paso Robles Petite Sirah
Review Date: 5-7-2014
True to form, this Petite Sirah is dense and dark fruited. Notes of cocoa and roast meat give this wine added complexity. The ripe tannins on the back end lead to a pleasant softness which balance an otherwise spicy finish.

2007 Clendenen "Le Pip" Santa Maria Valley Nebbiolo
Review Date: 5-7-2014
A nose of sappy red fruit and rose, this Nebbiolo spills across the palate with mouth-coating richness. True to form, it finishes dry with that classic grippy Nebbiolo acid/tannin structure. An honest wine, and a great domestic Nebbiolo.

2012 Clendenen Family Vineyards "Le Bon Climat" Santa Maria Valley Viognier
Review Date: 5-7-2014
I wish more domestic Viognier tasted like this! Rich by nature, Viognier really shines when not masked by wood. Light yellow in hue, the Clendenen Viognier jumps from the glass notes of citrus, white flowers and even a touch of toasted coconut. Fresh acidity and mineral tones keep this rich and round white refreshing throughout.
