1987 Chateau Pellehaut K&L Exclusive Tenareze Vintage Armagnac 750ml

$80 for a well aged armagnac from a renowned producer? Why aren't you buying this right now!? Tenareze is a higher altitude area for brandy production- which gives its armagnacs more spice and minerality than their bas counterparts. This brandy's finish is loaded with all the spice you'd expect from a tenareze- but none of the bite. It is lush and delicious, with gorgeous oak notes and a rich body of candy and caramel fruit flavors.

1990 Mortlach 22 Year Old K&L Exclusive Chieftain's Single Sherry Barrel Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky 750ml

When mortlach is good- its this freaking good. This is a rich and dense bottle of pure malty deliciousness, filled with dark fruits, baking spices, and round oak flavors that coat your mouth and leave you wanting more. Put a little water in this cask strength beast- it will show you all its capable of.

2010 Hewitson "Miss Harry" Red Rhône Blend Barossa Valley South Australia

Hewitson is a great grower/producer who does not make his wines with the heavy handed approach popular in Australia. His are balanced and finessed wines that show what Barossa is really capable of. The Miss Harry blend is a rhone-inspired wine, unmistakably Australian in its fruit flavors, but with a bright and balanced finish and wonderful spices. Its easily one of the best deals we have for good Australia wines.

Mencias from ribeira sacra tend to be more elegant than their bierzo brethren. This wine is a fine example at a perfect price- bitter raspberry fruit and earth with an elegant body and light tannin.

1993 GlenDronach 19 Year Old "K&L Exclusive" Single Barrel Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky 750ml

Layered, lush, rich, and decadent - this whiskey will have any fan of speyside single malts turning their heads and asking for a second glass. This single barrel, oloroso aged whiskey is very dark with intense chocolate and caramelized fruit and nut flavors. If you like scotch- you can't help but love this glendronach expression.

2005 La Rioja Alta "Viña Arana" Reserva Rioja

This is a spectacular deal from one of the best producers in spain. The Arana is always a more muscular version of the Ardanza, with more fruit stuffing and youthful tannin, but that does not mean it is any less a world class tempranillo. This medium bodied wine is still elegant and delicious with loads of spice on the finish and wonderful plum and cherry notes up front. Very versatile, and at a perfect price!

Wonderful wine- especially for this price! Slight hints of tobacco are on the edges of the wine's sweeter but earthier red fruits, with a good structured finish.

YES! Almost as good as brandy gets- wonderful spice, intense minerality all wrapped up in a warm, lush, rich package of candied fruits and almond flavors. Incredible.

Nikka 12 Year Old Taketsuru Pure Malt Japanese Whisky 750ml

A respected brand and great distillery in Japan, Nikka has just recently hit the west coast market. Their whiskies tend be darker and richer than those of suntory, but no less serious. The Taketsuru is a blend of grains based on old recipes, much more dark and lush than Suntory's Hibiki, with great spice and intense body.

I love this wine- old winery meets great vintage at a perfect price! Plum and cherry fruits are mixed with Indian spices and light pepper all wrapped up in a soft and elegant wine. Heredia is a fantastic winery, and even though this is just one of their entry level bottles, it is an incredible drink!

A fantastic wine from a fantastic vintage- this is old school tempranillo with a light, gamey funk and flavors of plum and black pepper. Incredibly elegant, this wine will work great with a wide range of different dishes.

1979 Glenfarclas K&L Exclusive Single Barrel Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky 750ml

One of the best glenfarclas I have ever tasted- this is a fantastic bottle for any lover of real highland whiskey. There is a lot of oak on the nose and flavor (hey, it's been in wood for 33 years), but I'm amazed at how much all the floral and fruit notes have held up and even developed in this very bright and delicious older single malt. Rich and malty with an incredibly long finish- this is beautiful whiskey.

This is a wonderful expression of old single malt, not for the feint of heart and only for those looking for a unique and amazing whiskey experience. There is almost no fruit or grain flavors left on this aged beauty, just thick, black, malty flavors of chocolate and coffee that coat your mouth and keep on going. Add a little water to this 57% beast- it will help reveal what softer flavors the whiskey still has to offer.

2011 Brooks Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

This little family producer does it again with this very tasty and inexpensive pinot! 2011 is a very classic vintage in Oregon, with dark fruits and good structure present in many bottles I've tasted. Brooks' 2011 definitely shows these characteristics, but is still the rich and approachable pinot we've all come to love and expect from them.
