I was turned on to this bourbon by the guys at Bourbon & Branch and Rickhouse (both in San Francisco), where they pour a ton of it. Their bar staff is one of the best in the industry, so that's a strong reference.

I've had my fair share of bourbon, and at this pricepoint I don't think it can be beat. It's delicious, rounded, and sweet enough, but has just enough complexity to not start getting boring after your first pour or two. 4.5 stars because of the price. If it cost twice as much, I'd still give it a 4.

In particular, I have found that people who do not otherwise drink bourbon (or in some cases have not ever tried it) absolutely LOVE this stuff. Finding a bourbon that everyone loves is walking a very thin line, and this walks it well every time. Accordingly, it makes for a great gift.
