2009 Guy Saget "Marie de Beauregard" Vouvray

Lively, nice balance of fruit and acid, unoaked. Nice antidote to heavy Chardonnays. Too bad the weather hasn't been more summery, since this would be great on a warm afternoon with lunch.

2009 Comte Louis de Clermont-Tonnerre (Alain Corcia) "Très Vieilles Vignes" Cairanne

Needs air to show -- nothing interesting at first, but 30 minutes after decanting, a decent Rhone. Good fruit, violets and flowers in the nose but restrained, moderate tannin. Not a CDP but this is a CDR village, and a pretty inexpensive one. Better after a couple of days (recorked). Should reward keeping a few years.
