2000 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 2000 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (97RP, 96WS, 95JS, 95WE, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Beginning to open magnificently, the still dense purple-colored 2000 reveals a blossoming bouquet of blackberries, cassis, graphite and pen ink. Full-bodied with velvety tannins that have resolved themselves beautifully over the last eleven years, this wine is still an adolescent, but it exhibits admirable purity, texture, mouthfeel and power combined with elegance. One of the all-time great examples of Lynch Bages, the 2000 is just beginning to drink well yet promises to last for another 20-25+ years. (RP)" (08/2011)

2007 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Red Wine
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Red Wine (93RP, 93WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Red Wine is composed of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, with the balance Cabernet Franc and Malbec. As always, it is a great value offering a fragrant, already complex nose of confiture of black fruits, incense, and Asian spices. On the palate it is savory and elegant with a plush texture. It is likely to evolve for several years but there is no compelling reason to defer gratification.Quilceda Creek remains Washington’s benchmark for world-class Cabernet Sauvignon. (JM)" (08/2010)

Sweet, fleshy and deeply pitched, offering expansive black raspberry and spicecake flavors and a sexy floral pastille nuance. Silky tannins build slowly on the finish, which lingers with excellent, floral-dominated persistence. Showing a darker character than the Sonoma bottlings but just as much vivacity." (05/2014)

2009 Rhys "Horseshoe Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2009 Rhys "Horseshoe Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (94RP, 94ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Pinot Noir Horseshoe Vineyard is the most virile wine in this lineup. Black cherries, mint, iron and crushed rocks come together in this dramatic, generous Pinot. The fleshiness of the fruit nearly covers the tannins, but they are lurking beneath the wine’s considerable fleshiness. Menthol, pine and a host of other dark, balsamic notes wrap around the insistent, powerful finish. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024. (AG)" (08/2011)

2010 Cayuse "Edith" Walla Walla Valley Grenache Rosé
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Cayuse "Edith" Walla Walla Valley Grenache Rosé (91RP, 91WE, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Baron’s 2010 Grenache Rose Edith comes from a few rows in the Armada vineyard that are left un-thinned precisely to permit such a wine. Halfway between classic partridge eye and salmon in color – after having received only a few hours of fermentative skin contact and then been pressed-off with a stainless steel basket – this combines a caressing, subtly creamy texture with delicacy, levity (at a mere 12.7% alcohol) and refreshment. Suggestions of strawberry (fraise du bois) garlanded in buddleia and high-toned green herbs are predictable if enchanting, but I was surprised to encounter a richness akin to veal stock and a savory salinity that taken together sent my salivary glands into palpitations. Gorgeous as this is today, it might be a good idea to save at least one bottle for next year just to experience how it evolves. Inside of a few days – between t

2000 Louis Latour Nuits-St-Georges
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2000 Louis Latour Nuits-St-Georges. Have you been looking for older Burgundy and seen how little is available? In particular the 2000 vintage, which is drinking deliciously well, has become particularly hard to find. As the producer says of this wine: "An intense, deeply coloured wine, showing pronounced, complex fruit of cherries, blackcurrents and violets, with truffles and spices. Subtle and integrated oak flavours on the palate with peppery notes, this wine is medium bodied, concentrated and admirably long on the finish."

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine de la Pousse d'Or Volnay 1er Cru "Clos des 60 Ouvrées" ((91-94BH), 91ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A discreet touch of wood sets off a ripe and gorgeously elegant, pure and expressive nose of intensely spicy blue pinot and dark berry fruit aromas trimmed in a soupçon of earth that is also reflected by the rich, full and strikingly precise flavors that are built on a base of minerality and culminating in a firm finish where the structural elements are well-buffered by the ample dry extract. This is the most complex wine in the range and one that is not only wonderfully stylish but exudes class. In a word, terrific." (04/2009)

A pure, uncompromising, traditionally-styled wine, it is to be admired for its authenticity, class, and quality. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2035." (04/2001)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Peter Michael "Ma Danseuse" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir ((92-94RP), 92AG, 92ST, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " The more mortal 2011 Pinot Noir Ma Danseuse exhibits sweet notes of raspberry jam, currants, camphor and powdered rock. This attractive, elegant, medium to full-bodied 2011 is more evolved and fruit-forward than the 2009 or the perfect 2010. The 2011 will drink well for 8-12 years. (RP)" (12/2013)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Bedrock Wine Company "Hudson Vineyard South-T'n'S Blocks" Carneros Syrah (94RP, 93ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Syrah Hudson T'n'S comes across as dark and brooding. Smoke, game, tar, scorched earth, bacon fat and black cherries are some of the many notes that emerge from this dramatic, large-scaled wine. Firm, yet well-integrated tannins frame a chewy finish layered with intense, delineated fruit. This is a highly promising wine that needs time. The T'n'S bottling comes from the southern part of the Hudson Vineyard. It was made with 45% whole clusters and a small addition of co-fermented Viognier (2%). The wine was not racked until it was bottled. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2025. " (02/2012)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Spottswoode "Family Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97WE, 96RP, 95JS, 93ST, 93WS, 90CG). Wine Enthusiast: "Tasted in a big lineup of St. Helena Cabernets, Spottswoode’s magnificent ’05 stood out. It’s a massive powerhouse, explosive in black currant, cherry pie, plum, chocolate, anise and cedar flavors that are detailed and precise. However, the wine, which was blended with a little Cabernet Franc, is graceful and balanced. Drinkable now due to its softly refined tannins, but has the integrity to ride out the years. 2009 Rivers-Marie "Roberto Corona Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Rivers-Marie "Roberto Corona Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Roberto Corona Vineyard, from a site on the Oakville bench, is the richest of these 2009 Cabernets from Rivers-Marie. It bursts from the glass with jammy, opulent fruit and a big, full-bodied personality. Blue and black fruit, mint, licorice and sweet spices wrap around the finish. The 100% new oak comes through here. I am not sure this wine needs all the oak and makeup. There is plenty of pedigree already. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2021. (AG)" (12/2011)

Deep, pungent aromas of black raspberry, cherry pie, vanillin oak and smoky Indian spices. Sappy, palate-coating cherry and dark berry compote flavors show an exotic floral pastille quality and hints of clove and mocha. A distinctly rich, fleshy Pinot that will aggravate Burgundy purists, but this wine makes quite a statement." (11/2010)

2003 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2003 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (96WE, 93RP, 92CG, 92ST). Wine Enthusiast: "**Cellar Selection** One of the first, if not the first, of the proprietarily named Napa Bordeaux blends, Phelps Insignia has been one of California’s greatest Cabs for decades. This is their 30th anniversary bottling, and it’s worthy of the tradition. Ultrarich and smooth, with a mouthfeel that’s pure velvet, it’s fairly thick in tannins now, suggesting cellaring. But it’s huge in blackberry, dark unsweetened chocolate and spicy plum fruit, and will easily hold for a very long time." (03/2007)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I am old enough to remember Chuck Wagner and his father, who I first met at Caymus in the late seventies. This is clearly one of Napa Valley’s iconic wineries, as well as one that, amazingly, never went through a bad patch. Obviously, no matter which generation is in the driver’s seat (or should I say tractor’s seat), Caymus Vineyard knows how to deliver flavor and deliciousness." (10/2014)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Leonetti "Reserve" Walla Walla Valley Proprietary Red (95WE, 93ST, 93W&S, 93WS, 91RP). Wine Enthusiast: "If any wine can elevate Leonetti’s stunning Cabernet to yet another level, it is this astonishing blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot and 17% Petit Verdot, all from estate vineyards. Sweet plum, blueberry and blackberry fruits are seamlessly married to layers of different flavored chocolates. 2004 Ausone, St-Emilion
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Ausone, St-Emilion (98W&S, 95WS, 94RP, 93ST). Wine & Spirits: "Tasted from barrel in 2005, this was among the best wines of the vintage, with limestone-soil character coming through the fresh brightness of fruit. Ausone was all potential energy then, and it has only improved in the two years since. The wine shares the resonant depths of the ancient limestone caves at Ausone, as the flavors echo through the finish. It starts off from a small place, a sweet confection that brings roasted blueberries to mind, the caramelized oak tasting like the edge of charred fat on extremely fine grilled beef. Over the course of several days, the wine becomes increasingly more subtle and serious in tone, with delicate red fruit, gracious mineral-inflected tannins and detailed flavors that last effortlessly. This Ausone will live for decades." (10/2007)

2009 Lanessan, Haut-Médoc (6L)
Bid on this 6L-bottle lot of 2009 Lanessan, Haut-Médoc (6L) (OWC - (90-92RP)) in original wood. 90-92 points Robert Parker: "...the 2009 Lanessan seems more explosive and concentrated than prior vintages. I’m not sure it is the finest I have ever tasted, but it boasts a dense purple color as well as copious creme de cassis, cedar wood, underbrush, and spice notes. Beautiful opulence, silky tannins, and a long finish suggest this sleeper of the vintage will drink well for 2-3 decades. (Tasted once.)" (04/10) 90-92 points Neal Martin: "Tasted at Vintex. The excellent Lanessan '09 sports a tightly-wound nose that is well defined with blackberry, plum and cedar, earthy notes coming through with time. This demonstrated much more sense of terroir than other Medoc 2009s. The palate is full-bodied with good fruit concentration, fine balance with a rounded supple blackberry and cedar finish that retains Médocian typicité. Unusually perfumed and already approachable (atypical for most 2005 Medocs), it reveals a deep plum/purple color as well as a stunningly flamboyant bouquet of smoked herbs, licorice, camphor, black cherries, currants, and notions of plums and blackberries. Elegant with silky tannin and medium body, it is clearly a classic statement on the Margaux appellation. As usual, it’s made in a deeper, richer style than the Chaupin and offers thrilling texture, a smoking mid-palate and nothing but gorgeous Grenache fruit on the finish. 2010 Continuum Oakville Red Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2010 Continuum Oakville Red Blend (97RP, 96AG, 94ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This has been an impressive, serious wine since the debut vintage, and Tim Mondavi's estate high on Pritchard Hill has fashioned a 2010 blend of 71% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Cabernet Franc, 11% Petit Verdot and 4% Merlot. Gorgeously ripe, intricate and nuanced, with aromas of spring flowers and red and black fruits, a stunning texture, sweet tannin, a full-bodied mouthfeel, and undeniable elegance and finesse, this complex beauty cascades over the palate without a hard edge to be found. It is a tribute to Mondavi-s long resume of skillful winemaking. Black currants, blueberries and a touch of raspberries are all compelling and persistent. 2001 Domaine de la Vieille Julienne Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this bottle of 2001 Domaine de la Vieille Julienne Châteauneuf-du-Pape (95RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A vintage that’s drinking at point today for most producers, Jean-Paul’s 2001 Chateauneuf du Pape is still young and concentrated, with a rich, structured, yet complex profile. Giving up classic licorice, garrigue, dried flowers and plums and cherry-driven fruit, it has full-bodied richness, big tannin and a ripe, concentrated and lengthy feel on the palate. During the tasting, Jean-Paul commented that this was the first vintage where he really felt like he understood his terroir. Open bottles anytime over the coming 7-8 years. " (08/2014)

Bid on this bottle of 1982 Moet & Chandon "Dom Pérignon" Brut Champagne (97AG, 96JS, 96RP, 93WS). Antonio Galloni: "(from magnum) Both 1982 Champagnes are utterly spellbinding. It is amazing to taste these wines at 30 years of age and see that their signatures are all very much intact. Of course, the magnum format is so ideal for Champagne... The 1982 Dom Pérignon is just a little more focused and vibrant in style. Here it is the wine’s salivating minerality that really sings. It, too, is quite youthful and vibrant for its age. What a flight. " (01/2014)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Pape Clément, Pessac-Léognan (95RP, 90ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A brilliant dense purple color is accompanied by an extraordinary perfume of camphor, graphite, plums, cassis, and barbecue spices. A prodigious, multilayered, medium-bodied effort with exceptional concentration, a fabulous texture, and a 50-second finish, this brilliant achievement is one of the vintage’s monumental wines. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2020+. P.S. Yields were a mere 28 hectoliters per hectare, which no doubt explains the wine’s stunning concentration." (06/2004)

Of the 2003 Pierre Usseglio "Mon Aïeul" Châteauneuf-du-Pape,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "One of the vintage’s most profound wines, the 2003 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee de Mon Aieul has a dense purple color as well as a glorious nose of blackberries, licorice, smoke, and some roasted meats and dried herbs. Amazingly opulent, even voluptuous, with extraordinary purity, a huge tactile impression on the palate, but not heavy by any means, this is a stunning Chateauneuf du Pape from ancient vines made with 95% Grenache and the rest Cinsault and Syrah. Production is about 8,000 bottles, and the wine is bottled after spending its entire life in epoxy-lined tanks, so what one gets is the essence of the thre

1990 d'Yquem, Sauternes
Bid on this bottle of 1990 d'Yquem, Sauternes (99RP, 94ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An extraordinary effort, Yquem's 1990 is a rich and fabulously superb, sweet wine. This wine also possesses lots of elegance and finesse. The wine's medium gold color is accompanied by an exceptionally sweet nose of honeyed tropical fruits, peaches, coconut, and apricots. High quality, subtle toasty oak is well-integrated. The wine is massive on the palate, with layers of intensely ripe botrytis-tinged, exceptionally sweet fruit. Surprisingly well-integrated acidity, and a seamless, full-bodied power and richness have created a wine of remarkable harmony and purity. Certainly it is one of the richest Yquems I have ever tasted, with 50-100 years of potential longevity. An awesome Yquem! Anticipated maturity: 2003-2050+. (RP)" (04/1999)

The long finish lets everything drape together beautifully. Absolutely stunning, this seems in no hurry to go anywhere. Remarkably fresh and defined at this time. (Web Only-2014)"

1993 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1993 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As I reported last year, the 1993 Cabernet Sauvignon Eisele Vineyard is a spectacular wine...The Eisele Vineyard 1993 Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the half dozen or so candidates for wine of the vintage. I have tasted it three times out of bottle, once rating it as high as 98, but never less than 96. It is a mind-boggling Cabernet Sauvignon that is remarkably well-balanced for its size and intensity. The color is an opaque purple, and the nose offers up smoky, chocolatey, blackcurrant, licorice, and mineral scents. On the palate, the wine reveals fabulous density, concentration, sweetness of fruit as well as tannin, and a 30-40 second finish. Although there is a high percentage of new oak, this wine has completely soaked it up, a testament to its extract and concentration of fruit. While the wine displays a certain precociousness, unusual for a 1993, there is

2005 Alban "Pandora" Edna Valley Rhône Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2005 Alban "Pandora" Edna Valley Rhône Blend (94RP, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another wine with explosive aromas of pepper, spice box, lavender, sweet cherries and currants and a decidedly Provencal personality is the 2005 Pandora, a combination of 92% Grenache and 8% Syrah. This is a deep, distinctive red with stunning aromatics as well as loads of personality. It should be at its peak over the next 7-8 years. The wines of John and Lorraine Alban are about as spectacular as one can find anywhere in the world. Alban is committed to aging his big Syrahs longer in barrel, believing it will concentrate the wines and add additional complexity. (RP)" (06/2008)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " A gorgeous example of Lascombes, the 2005, a blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, and the rest Petit Verdot, continues the remarkable turn-around in quality that began five years ago. A stunningly opulent wine with a dense purple color, the 2005 possesses a beautiful perfume of spring flowers, blueberries, blackberries, creosote, and graphite, full body, silky but noticeable tannins, a layered mouthfeel, and a stunning, 45+-second finish. This medium-bodied, velvety textured, lush La Mission should hold nicely for a decade in a cold cellar. (RP)" (08/2012)

1988 Calon-Ségur, St-Estèphe
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 1988 Calon-Ségur, St-Estèphe (91RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1988 Calon-Segur outshines both wines from the more heralded vintages of 1989 and 1990. Deeply colored, superbly balanced, rich and full bodied, it appears to be a worthy candidate for another 15-20 years of longevity. It is a classic example of this chateau's wine - cedary, very fragrant, with plenty of sweet red and black currant fruit. I should also note that it is surprisingly powerful for the vintage. It gets my nod as the finest Calon-Segur between 1982 and 1995. (RP)" (01/1998)

Offering a dense purple color, gorgeous fruit, and a sweet perfume of graphite, blackberries, blueberries, charcoal, licorice, tar, and new oak, it is a dense, full-bodied, well-endowed, beautifully layered, pure Syrah that should drink well for 10-15 years." Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (98RP, 97JS, 97WS, 96ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Simply put, the 2009 James Berry Vineyard is one of the greatest young wines I have ever tasted from California, or anywhere for that matter. Bright, floral aromatics lead to expressive red fruit in this impossibly elegant, dazzling wine. A melange of rose petals, mint and licorice follows as the James Berry shows off its breathtaking clarity and finesse. Fine-grained, chalky tannins frame the exceptional finish. Frankly, I am surprised this is the first wine of the tasting. Where does one go from here? (AG) " (08/2011)

1982 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1982 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac (100JS, 100RP, 98ST, 98WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This wine remains one of the legends of Bordeaux. It has thrown off the backward, youthful style that existed during its first 25 years of life, and over the last 4-5 years has developed such secondary nuances as cedar and spice box. The creme de cassis, underlying floral note, full-bodied power, extraordinary purity, multilayered texture, and finish of over a minute are a showcase for what this Chateau accomplished in 1982. The wine is still amazingly youthful, vibrant, and pure. It appears capable of remaining fruity and vibrant in 2082! Thank God it is beginning to budge, as I would like to drink most of my supply before I kick the bucket. This is a great, still youthful wine, and, on occasion, one does understand the hierarchy of Bordeaux chateaux when you see the complexity and brilliance of this first-growth." (06/2009)

2009 Hundred Acre "Deep Time" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Hundred Acre "Deep Time" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 100RP, 94ST) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Deep Time is another perfect wine. Quintessential elegance, seductiveness and ripeness are all present in this full-bodied, gorgeously rich wine along with intense minerality and abundant, corpulent, cassis, mulberry and boysenberry fruit. It takes a wild ride on the palate with incredible intensity yet a surreal finesse and focus that belie the wine’s compelling concentration and intensity. I’ll cut off my notes now since so few people will ever get a chance to try this beauty, but if you do, it takes you deep into the essence of Cabernet Sauvignon as well as the complicated think tank of Woodbridge’s brain. Anticipated maturity: now-2030. (RP)" (10/2013)

2003 Latour, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 2003 Latour, Pauillac (100RP, 99JS, (96-98WE), 98WS, 97ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Administrator Frederic Engerer says the 2003 is 'the sexiest Latour ever made.' He also described it as 'the 1990 without any brettanomyces.' I loved this wine from the barrel and was fortunate enough to be able to purchase a small quantity, enjoying every bottle I have had. A profound example of Chateau Latour, the full-bodied, opulent 2003 is already performing well at age eleven, which is somewhat atypical. The pH is a relatively high 3.8, which also indicates low acidity. The wine is very ripe, but not over-ripe, offers great freshness, and lots of creme de cassis and camphor as well as hints of blackberries and chocolate. Dense, thick and unctuously textured, this staggering Latour is undeniably the most sumptuous, opulent wine made here since the 1982 or 1961. Drink it over the next two decades. (RP)" (08/2014)
