2003 Fisher "Coach Insignia" Napa Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2003 Fisher "Coach Insignia" Napa Cabernet Sauvignon (93CG, 93RP, 92WS, 91ST, 90WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon Coach Insignia is a great example of an under-the-radar Cabernet Sauvignon that offers very good value. Moreover, it has another decade of drinkability ahead of it. Composed of 99% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Cabernet Franc from the Napa Valley holdings of Fred Fisher and family, this stunner offers a dense ruby/purple color along with a big, sweet bouquet of creme de cassis, licorice and a touch of lead pencil shavings. This velvety textured, opulent, full-bodied beauty (“Body by Fisher”) is luxurious, long and satisfying on both a hedonistic and intellectual level. I can’t think of a more recent Coach Insignia that performed this well. Perhaps they just need more time in the bottle. The 2003 is a sleeper of the vintage. (RP)" (06/2013)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2009 Haut-Bergey, Pessac-Léognan (94RP, (90-93AG), 93JS, 92ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A blend of just over 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and the balance Merlot (last year I mistakenly wrote that the balance was Cabernet Franc), the opaque ruby/purple-colored 2009 reveals notes of scorched earth/burning embers/charcoal, black currants, ripe cherries and lead pencil shavings. Full-bodied and pure with sweet tannin, this is an under-the-radar, high quality claret to drink over the next 20-25 years. (RP)" (02/2012)

Full-bodied and dry, it’s balanced and rich, with complex flavors of currants, minerals, cedar and spice. The tannins are strong, but ultra-refined. This is a beauty to drink over the next decade." (04/2008)

2005 La Dauphine, Fronsac
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2005 La Dauphine, Fronsac (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "It’s amazing how good this wine has become since the property was sold by the Jean-Pierre Moueix firm to Jean Halley. The outstanding, sexy, full-bodied 2005 is a 5,000-case blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. With beautiful purity, symmetry, and power as well as elegance, it is a fresh, full, soft Fronsac with sensational concentration and depth. It can be drunk now or cellared for 10-15 years." 1996 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Proprietary Red
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1996 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Proprietary Red (95RP, 93WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Aged 22 months in 100% new French oak, this blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon and 17% Merlot reveals a powerful core of red and black fruits, dusty, loamy soil, lavender and a hint of toast. I would not describe it as elegant, but rather, it is a big, backstrapping, Cabernet Sauvignon-based wine that should continue to drink well for 15 or more years. (RP)" (11/2013)

Of the 2005 Lascombes, Margaux,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "A gorgeous example of Lascombes, the 2005, a blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, and the rest Petit Verdot, continues the remarkable turn-around in quality that began five years ago. A stunningly opulent wine with a dense purple color, the 2005 possesses a beautiful perfume of spring flowers, blueberries, blackberries, creosote, and graphite, full body, silky but noticeable tannins, a layered mouthfeel, and a stunning, 45+-second finish. This is a brilliant, modern-styled Margaux that should age for 30-35 years." (04/2008)

2009 Les Pagodes de Cos, St-Estèphe
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Les Pagodes de Cos, St-Estèphe (94RP, 93JS, 93WE, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The brilliant 2009 Les Pagodes de Cos actually has more Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend than the grand vin (69% versus 65%) in addition to mostly Merlot and a small quantity of Petit Verdot. As powerful as the Cos in terms of alcoholic clout (14.5%), the full-bodied, round, generous Les Pagodes de Cos exhibits lots of creme de cassis and floral notes intermixed with hints of wood/barrique and spice. Juicy, succulent and remarkably fresh and well-delineated, it merits considerable attention from consumers. It should drink well for 15-20 years. Oddly enough, the second wine is superior to many vintages of Cos in the 1960s 1970s and 1980s! (RP)" (02/2012)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2000 Lokoya Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon . Wine Spectator: "A firm, tight, compact wine in need of cellaring, as the tannic strength dominates the earthy currant fruit in a powerful way. It slowly unfolds to reveal a rich core of flavors, but this is a wine that requires patience. Best from 2006 through 2016." (12/2003)

2009 Lewelling "Wight Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Lewelling "Wight Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Wight Vineyard is a huge wine bursting with dark red fruit, flowers and sweet spices. The 2009 needs quite a bit of bottle age to shed its baby fat, but it is impressive, even at this early stage. Firm yet silky tannins frame the textured, generous finish. This seamless, highly expressive wine should drink well for at least a handful of years. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2029. (AG)" (12/2011)

1998 Philip Togni Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1998 Philip Togni Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As I have noted in the past, Togni holds back 100 cases of each vintage to be released at age ten. Although 1998 was a challenging vintage in California, this 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate has evolved into a beautiful wine. If you want to throw a California Cabernet into a blind tasting of first and second-growth Bordeaux, this is the wine to choose. A dead-ringer for a top-class Pauillac, it offers leafy, cedary, licorice, red and black currant, and roasted herb aromas. In the mouth, the Bordeaux-like austerity continues with noticeable tannin as well as a slightly dry finish. (RP)" (12/2008)

1995 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1995 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac (96RP, 94WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "What sumptuous pleasures await those who purchase either the 1996 or 1995 Pichon Lalande. It is hard to choose a favorite, although the 1995 is a smoother, more immediately sexy and accessible wine. It is an exquisite example of Pichon-Lalande with the Merlot component giving the wine a coffee/chocolatey/cherry component to go along with the Cabernet Sauvignon's and Cabernet Franc's complex blackberry/cassis fruit. The wine possesses an opaque black/ruby/purple color, and sexy, flamboyant aromatics of pain grille, black fruits, and cedar. Exquisite on the palate, this full-bodied, layered, multidimensional wine should prove to be one of the vintage's most extraordinary success stories. (RP)" (02/1998)

2010 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (97RP, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Sporting a vibrant ruby, semi-opaque color, the 2010 James Berry Vineyard is the most tight, backward version of this cuvee that I can recall. A blend of 52% Grenache, 26% Mourvedre, and 22% Syrah, it has a decidedly savory bouquet of blackberry liqueur, kirsch, violets, bouquet garni, ground pepper, and graphite. Full-bodied and layered on the palate, with brilliant mid-palate concentration, superb freshness, and masses of tannin, this brilliant Rhone blend from Paso Robles will stand toe-to-toe with the best wines out there, but it is not for those seeking instant gratification and will require 4-5 years of bottle age. In 2010, the Grenache component was aged in a combination of concrete tank and oak puncheons, and this shows in both the aromatics and texture, with less obvious sweetness and more freshness. It will evolve gracefully for two decades

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1989 Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan (100JS, 100RP, 100WS, 98AG, 97ST). Wine Spectator: "What a gorgeous, seductive and beautiful wine, as always. I can't get over the perfumed aromas of subtle milk chocolate, cedar and sweet tobacco. Full-bodied, yet so refined and silky, lasting for minutes on the palate. Everything is in just the right proportion. This is a wine that will go on forever. I love it. One of my great loves in the wine world." (01/2010)

2007 Sine Qua Non "Body & Soul" Roussanne-Viognier
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Sine Qua Non "Body & Soul" Roussanne-Viognier (96RP, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The new cuvee of white wine, the 2007 Body and Soul, a 475-case blend of 71% Roussanne and 29% Viognier, is primarily from the 11 Confessions Vineyard. Krankl has dropped Chardonnay from the blend, and the resulting wine is a beacon for what can be achieved by blending two white Rhone varietals. About one-third new French oak is used. Honeysuckle, orange blossom, lemon oil, tropical fruit, and floral notes are found in this unctuously-textured white. Full-bodied and dry, with good underlying minerality, crispness, and an alluring freshness, it is impossible to know how such a wine will age. I just finished my last bottle of the 2001 Albino, which is aging fabulously well, and seems capable of lasting another 4-5 years. These wines are so spectacularly perfumed and intense in their youth that they are hard to resist. (RP)" (08/2009)

Bid on this 10-bottle lot of 2003 Kistler "Dutton Ranch" Russian River Valley Chardonnay ((92-94RP), 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Why is it that I always find buttery popcorn, tropical fruit, creme caramel, and almost roasted hazelnuts in the Chardonnays from the Dutton Ranch? The 2003 Chardonnay Dutton Ranch has that and a lot more fruit than is typical. Perhaps the low yields from a vineyard that is known for relatively abundant crops have produced a bit more intensity than usual. This is in-your-face Chardonnay that is not the most subtle wine by any means but Meursault premier cru-like, ripe and heady. (RP)" (02/2005)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Hundred Acre "Few and Far Between" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 100RP, (93-95AG), 95ST, 94WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Few and Far Between has a minerality that is also found in the Howell Mountain cuvee as well as deep, luxurious, beautiful black currant and blackberry fruit intermixed with hints of jammy black cherries, licorice, camphor and charcoal embers. Exceptionally full-bodied with sweet tannin, surreal richness and remarkable purity as well as delineation, this pushes ripeness and intensity to nearly over-the-top levels, but it pulls back to simply create a wine of genius. This 2010 should age effortlessly for two to three decades, but there is no reason to delay your enjoyment. (RP)" (10/2013)

1952 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1952 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac (90WS). 90-points Wine Spectator. From Robert Parker: "...attractive, the sweet, spicy, gingery nose lacks ripeness of fruit. In the mouth, this wine exhibits structured, firm, medium-bodied flavors, good depth, but tough tannins and relatively high acidity in the finish. Although there is plenty of character, the wine finishes with a lean, rustic feel." (Dec 1992)

1989 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1989 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (99RP, 96WS, 95ST, 94JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1989 has taken forever to shed its formidable tannins, but what a great vintage of Lynch Bages! I would rank it at the top of the pyramid... Its dense purple color reveals a slight lightening at the edge and the stunning bouquet offers classic notes of creme de cassis, subtle smoke, oak and graphite. Powerful and rich with some tannins still to shed at age 22, it is still a young adolescent in terms of its evolutionand will benefit from another 4-5 years of cellaring. It should prove to be a 50 year wine. (RP)" (08/2011)

Wine & Spirits: "This vineyard, adjacent and parallel to Bâtard and Bienvenues-Bâtard, produced the most energized and complex of Domaine Leflaive’s 1er Cru wines in 2009. Of the 7.56 acres the domaine farms in Les Pucelles, 3.88 date to the 1950s and early 1960s, the youngest planted in 1985. On one level, this is a range of delicate florals, from lily of the valley to the scent of meadow flowers in spring. On a deeper level, this is powerfully structured, an obelisk of pure white limestone, supercharged in its power. Yet rather than blasting at you, it keeps tugging gently until it’s focused all of your attention on the most minute details of its flavor. A great vintage of Les Pucelles, this wine’s intensity will sustain it for years in the cellar." (04/2012)

1996 Margaux, Margaux
Bid on this bottle of 1996 Margaux, Margaux (99RP, 96ST, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1996 Chateau Margaux, which was bottled in September 1998, is undoubtedly one of the great classics produced under the Mentzelopoulos regime. In many respects it is the quintessential Chateau Margaux, as well as the paradigm for this estate, combining measured power, extraordinary elegance, and admirable complexity. I tasted the wine of three separate occasions in January, and in short, it's a beauty! The color is opaque purple. The wine offers extraordinarily pure notes of blackberries, cassis, pain grille, and flowers, gorgeous sweetness, a seamless personality, and full body, with nothing out of place." (04/1999)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac (98RP, 97JS, 96ST, 96WE, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Revealing incredible quality and performing better than it did from barrel, the 2009 appears to be the greatest Pichon Longueville Baron since the 1990 and 1989. An amazing opaque blue/purple color is followed by scents of spring flowers, graphite, smoky charcoal, incense, blackberries, blueberries and hints of coffee and chocolate. Incredibly intense, pure and flawlessly constructed with extravagant layers of fruit and richness, this offering has developed beautifully under the management of Christian Seeley. It is a voluptuous, opulent Pichon Longueville Baron that may eclipse anything they have made in the past. This brilliant wine should be at its peak between 2018 and 2045." (02/2012)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac (100RP, 98JS, 96ST, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An amazing wine in every sense, this classic, full-bodied Pauillac is the quintessential Pontet Canet from proprietor Alfred Tesseron, who continues to reduce yields and farms his vineyards biodynamically a rarity in Bordeaux. Black as a moonless night, the 2009 Pontet Canet offers up notes of incense, graphite, smoke, licorice, creme de cassis and blackberries. A wine of irrefutable purity, laser-like precision, colossal weight and richness, and sensational freshness, this is a tour de force in winemaking that is capable of lasting 50 or more years. The tannins are elevated, but they are sweet and beautifully integrated as are the acidity, wood and alcohol (which must be in excess of 14%). This vineyard, which is situated on the high plateau of Pauillac adjacent to Mouton Rothschild, appears to have done everything perfectly in 2009. This cuvee should shut down in the cel

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Sine Qua Non "Covert Fingers - Ariata Hills Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (94RP, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 462-case 2004 Pinot Noir Covert Fingers is seamless and elegant, with a ripe, layered profile of sweet cassis, forest floor, licorice and ground herbs. Coming all from the cooler climate Arita Hills Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills and completely destemmed, aged in 70% new French oak (the rest in 1-3-year-old barrels), never racked, and bottled unfined and unfiltered, it’s a full-bodied, beautiful effort that’s drinking at point. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The real star is the nearly 1,000 case-lot of the Paradise Hills Vineyard Proprietary Red. The dense, opaque plum/purple-hued 2006 Paradise Hills Vineyard exhibits a beautiful, sweet bouquet of melted chocolate, burning embers, blackberries, mocha, espresso roast, cassis, and cherries as well as stunning concentration, and formidable, but velvety, beautifully integrated tannins. This wine comes across like a hypothetical blend of California, a great Graves, and something from further north in Bordeaux, such as a Pauillac. Full-bodied and powerful, it requires 2-4 years of cellaring, and should evolve for 20-25+ years. (95+ points)" (12/2009)

This is a classy thoroughbred of a wine with superb complexity, impeccable balance and huge length. Be prepared to wait though as it will need time." (01/2006)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 Henri Boillot Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru (96ST, 95AG, 90BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "High-pitched aromas of fresh peach, crushed stone, violet and lavender. Dense, sweet and rich, with very ripe pineapple fruit leavened by smoky minerality and given cut and focus by strong (4.5 g/l) acidity. Offers an uncanny combination of depth and high pitch for the vintage. The building, extremely long finish titillates the taste buds and leaves the mouth vibrating. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Bordeaux-styled reds begin with the 2007 Camaspelo, a blend of 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, and 8% Cabernet Franc. The already complex aromatics reveal mineral, Asian spices, incense, violets, black currant and black cherry. In the mouth it offers a lovely combination of power and elegance, along with ripe tannins, leading to a lengthy, fruit-filled finish. 1966 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1966 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "My God, this is a wonderful mature Lafite. Served blind chez Rosemary George MW it has a definable Pauillac nose with subtle notes of cedar, sous-bois and a touch of dried blood. It has incredible harmony and purity – a bouquet that has you instantly captivated. The palate does not disappoint: a beguiling sense of natural harmony and delineation, not the weight of Latour nor the femininity of Margaux, but a Lafite aiming for understated sophistication. Delicate cedar and cigar box towards the finish that just goes on and on. This bottle vindicates my first encounter in Bordeaux, when it similarly bewitched its audience. Absolutely sublime. A point. Tasted April 2008. (Neal Martin, Wine Journal)" (07/2007)

2004 Bodegas Numanthia-Termes "Numanthia" Toro
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Bodegas Numanthia-Termes "Numanthia" Toro (98RP, 95WS, 94W&S, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Any aspiring collectors should add a case of this to their stash. The 2004 Numanthia comes from a different terroir with a different clone of Tinta de Toro. The vines for this cuvee range from 70-100 years of age with tiny yields of 1 ton of fruit per acre. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in barrel followed by 19 months in new French oak before being bottled unfined and unfiltered. The wine is a glass-coating opaque purple with a killer nose of mineral, pencil lead, wild blueberry, and blackberry liqueur that roars from the glass. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, dense, and already beginning to show complexity within its layers of spicy black fruits. There is immense power, well-concealed ripe tannin, and the well-delineated finish lasts for over one minute. This is a sensational effort which in a perfect world should be cellared for a d

2011 Dalla Valle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Dalla Valle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95AG, 92ST, 91WS). Antonio Galloni: "The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon has really come together over the last six months. Deep, layered and resonant, the 2011 is easily among the top wines of the year. New leather, spices, mocha and plum notes flesh out in the glass. The style is quite textured, especially in comparison with the other great wines of the year. Hints of sage, rosemary, new leather and cloves wrap around a pointed, beautifully articulated finish supported by insistent veins of salinity. (AG)" (11/2013)

Bid on this 1.5 liter 2-bottle lot of 2006 Mollydooker "Carnival of Love" Shiraz McLaren Vale South Australia (1.5L) (97RP, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Shiraz 'Carnival of Love' was sourced from a single vineyard. The sensational nose, consisting of violets, lilacs, meat, game, leather, blueberry, and chocolate, leaps from the glass. On the palate this full-bodied wine somehow manages to combine power with elegance. The sweet tannins are well-concealed and the finish lasts for at least one minute. 2002 Cardinale Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Cardinale Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, (92-94ST)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A profound blend from superstar winemaker Chris Carpenter, the 2002 Cardinale is composed of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon and 12% Merlot from two of the Jackson Family’s top vineyards on Mt. Veeder (70% of the blend), the Keyes Vineyard on Howell Mountain (12% of the blend), and the rest from fruit purchased from the To-Kalon Vineyard in Oakville. This spectacular 2002 is drinkable, but it is still 3-4 years away from its plateau of full maturity. A large-scaled, intense, extraordinary Cabernet Sauvignon that combines power with elegance, it exhibits an inky/ruby/purple color as well as a sweet nose of vanilla, toast, creme de cassis, cedar and licorice. With gorgeous ripeness and texture in addition to a multidimensional personality, it can be drunk now, but will be even better in a few years. It will last for 15-20 years. " (06/2012)

Ripe blackcurrant aromas and flavors are lifted by pungent graphite, cedar and mineral notes. Balanced, pure and smooth in the mouth, with excellent perfume and precision.
