2004 Domaine Joseph Roty Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru "Très Vieilles Vignes"
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2004 Domaine Joseph Roty Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru "Très Vieilles Vignes" (94ST, 92BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good deep red. Captivating aromas of dark raspberry, licorice, underbrush and truffle. Supple, silky and sweet, with uncanny depth for a wine from this vintage. Highly concentrated flavors of cherry, spice and black licorice; really fat with sweet fruit, and distinctly fruitier today than the Griottes. Broad and full but with zero heaviness. Very long finishing flavors of spice and licorice. An incredible performance in the context of the year. And structured to last. " (03/2007)

2003 Clos des Papes Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2003 Clos des Papes Châteauneuf-du-Pape (98RP, 97WS, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A great bottle and showing the hallmark elegance of the estate, the 2003 Clos des Papes Chateauneuf du Pape offers up a kirsch liqueur, liquid flower, red licorice and spice-box driven bouquet along with a full-bodied, seamless, silky profile on the palate. Still beautifully put together and aging gracefully, with a core of sweet fruit, it is certainly drinking well now, yet should continue to hold and drink nicely through 2020. (RP)" (06/2013)

2005 Domaine Gros Frère et Soeur Richebourg Grand Cru
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2005 Domaine Gros Frère et Soeur Richebourg Grand Cru (95ST, 94BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "8 barrels made, vs. a normal 11 or 12) Full red-ruby, not quite as dark as the other grand crus at this address. Reticent but wild nose hints at black raspberry, minerals and game. At once powerful and suave, with terrific inner-palate tension and sneaky intensity of dark fruit and violet flavor. Finishes impressively long, with thoroughly buffered, fine-grained tannins. Gros prefers wines that combine power and roundness, and he ventured the opinion that only grand crus can give the sweetness with strength that he prizes." (03/2007)

Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a pretty finish. Silky. This is extremely good for the vintage. The team of Cos worked hard on their 2002 and it shows." (03/2005)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2009 Le Clarence de Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan (95JS, 92RP, 92WS). James Suckling: "This is very, very Haut-Brion. Perhaps this second wine is like the gran vin in 1995? Full body, with rich ripe tannins, with a silky texture. It is dense and powerful. Long and rich. Better in 2016. Best second wine of Haut-Brion ever? It has just about everything Haut-Brion has in an excellent year like this. Try in 2019." (02/2012)

1997 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 1997 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 97ST, 97WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1997 Harlan Estate is one of the greatest Cabernet Sauvignon-based wines I have ever tasted. A blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, with the rest Merlot and Cabernet Franc, this enormously-endowed, profoundly rich wine must be tasted to be believed. Opaque purple-colored, it boasts spectacular, soaring aromatics of vanilla, minerals, coffee, blackberries, licorice, and cassis. In the mouth, layer after layer unfold powerfully yet gently. Acidity, tannin, and alcohol are well-balanced by the wine's unreal richness and singular personality. The finish exceeds one minute. (RP)" (12/2000)

Bid on this 3-magnum lot of 2009 La Lagune, Haut-Médoc (1.5L) ((93-96WS), 95RP, 92ST). Wine Spectator: "Floral and precise fruit, with blackberry-skin character and mineral undertones. Full-bodied, with superfine tannins and a fresh, clean finish. Long and tight. Racy. Lovely texture. 60 percent Cabernet Sauvignon, 25 percent Merlot and 15 percent Petit Verdot. This property is really on a roll now, delivering racy and structured reds; it gives much more freshness and character to the wine. (Web Only- 2010)"

2008 Larcis Ducasse, St-Emilion
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2008 Larcis Ducasse, St-Emilion (93JS, 93RP, 91WE, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Larcis Ducasse...is composed of 78% Merlot and 22% Cabernet Franc. Although closed at present and less prodigious than I predicted two years ago, it reveals an opaque purple color, plenty of sweet fruitcake, black currant, kirsch, forest floor and earthy characteristics, a full-bodied mouthfeel, sweet tannins and a long finish. It just does not appear to have the extra gear or two I tasted from barrel. Nevertheless, it is an outstanding wine and if it is priced fairly, it should be a definite purchase to enjoy over the next 20+ years. (RP)" (05/2011)

2009 Les Pagodes de Cos, St-Estèphe
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 Les Pagodes de Cos, St-Estèphe (94RP, 93JS, 93WE, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The brilliant 2009 Les Pagodes de Cos actually has more Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend than the grand vin (69% versus 65%) in addition to mostly Merlot and a small quantity of Petit Verdot. As powerful as the Cos in terms of alcoholic clout (14.5%), the full-bodied, round, generous Les Pagodes de Cos exhibits lots of creme de cassis and floral notes intermixed with hints of wood/barrique and spice. Juicy, succulent and remarkably fresh and well-delineated, it merits considerable attention from consumers. It should drink well for 15-20 years. Oddly enough, the second wine is superior to many vintages of Cos in the 1960s 1970s and 1980s! (RP)" (02/2012)

2009 Latour à Pomerol, Pomerol
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 Latour à Pomerol, Pomerol (93JS, 93WE, 93WS, 92RP, 91ST). Wine Spectator: "A nice, old-school style, with roasted mesquite, tobacco leaf and espresso flavors up front, following through to bittersweet ganache and mulled dark currant notes on the still-slightly taut, but well-framed, finish. Should flesh out a bit more with cellaring. Best from 2014 through 2030." (03/2012)

2008 Sine Qua Non "The Line" California Grenache
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Sine Qua Non "The Line" California Grenache (98RP, 95JS, 95WS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " This wine was just released in April of this year, and is a blend of 87.5% Grenache, 11% Syrah, and 1.5% Viognier, with 21% whole clusters used in the Grenache component. Seventy-eight percent of it came from the 11 Confessions Vineyard and the balance from Bien Nacido and the White Hawk. It is no measly wine at 15.5% alcohol, but it displays extraordinary berry fruit and kirsch notes intermixed with lavender and other floral components. Intense, full-bodied, voluptuously textured, and stunningly pure, with no real noticeable oak (21% new French oak was used, most of it the larger demi-muids), this beauty has put on weight and is showing additional complexity since I first tasted it. Anticipated maturity: now-2023. (RP)" (08/2011)

2010 Malescot-St-Exupéry, Margaux
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2010 Malescot-St-Exupéry, Margaux (95JS, 95RP, (92-94WE), 94WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Gorgeous, flowery, classic Margaux once again, the 2010 Malescot St.-Exupery continues to show virtually no toasty oak, given the impeccable balance and full-bodied, full-throttle style it possesses. Black raspberries, creme de cassis and spring floral notes intermixed with forest floor and a hint of charcoal are followed by an opulent, sexy, full-bodied wine whose tannins have become much sweeter, while the wine is less restrained yet still exuberant and impressive. This is a phenomenal example once again for this estate, harmonious in every sense of style, extraordinarily long, rich and ageworthy. Three to four years of bottle age will do wonders to make it more accessible, but this wine is set for 25-30 years of longevity." (02/2013)

Bid on this 10-bottle lot of 2005 Moulin Saint-Georges, St-Emilion (OWC - (91-93RP), 92WS, 91ST) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The second most well-known estate of perfectionist proprietor Alain Vauthier (the best-known is Ausone), the inky/purple-tinged 2005 Moulin-St.-Georges offers sumptuously sweet aromas of candied cassis, crushed rocks, flowers, and incense. Intense, full-bodied, and deep, with fabulous purity, texture, and freshness as well as a 40+ second finish, this may be the finest Moulin-St.-Georges Vauthier has yet produced. Roses and other flowers too. It's almost hard to describe, but there's a real purity. Full body, with fabulous balance and depth. It has everything in the right place. Best ever? Try it in 2018. 2009 Robert Mondavi "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 Robert Mondavi "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 94ST, 92WS, 90WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Mondavi's 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is sumptuous and beautiful. Plums, mocha, cloves and pencil shavings are all woven together in this gorgeous, large-scaled Cabernet Sauvignon. All the elements are in the right place. Silky, nuanced tannins frame the voluptuous, caressing finish. A wine of centeredness and gorgeous precision, the 2009 is a true standout. The tannins need a few years to soften, but once that starts to happen, the 2009 should enjoy a long life. The blend is 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Horsepower "Sur Echalas Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Grenache (OWC - 97RP, 95WE, 94WS, 91ST) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Grenache Sur Echalas Vineyard is a sensational blend of 100% Grenache that comes all from a vineyard located just to the west of Cayuse’s Armada Vineyard. Planted to 4,840 vines per acre, it’s farmed completely by horse. Showing every bit as well from bottle as from barrel, it offers up layers of pepper, smoked herbs, gunpowder and black fruits to go with a deep, structured style on the palate. Incredibly concentrated, especially in the vintage, it has a gracefully, balanced feel before firming up substantially on the finish. Give this beauty 2-3 years of bottle age and enjoy over the following decade. Unfortunately, there are only 131 cases of it to go around, so if you get the opportunity to grab some bottles, don’t miss it. (JD)" (06/2014)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Kapcsandy Family Winery "Roberta’s Reserve-State Lane Vineyard" Napa Valley Red Blend (96AG, 95ST, 91RP). Antonio Galloni: "Amazingly, the 2011 Roberta's Reserve may turn out to be better than the 2010. Today it is certainly much more polished, finessed and persistent than the bombastic 2010. Sweet herbs, wild flowers, mint and new leather are all layered together on the finish. The 2011 is all about purity, finesse and balance. What a gorgeous wine this is. The 2011 is 96% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc. " (11/2013)

Of the 2003 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "I was somewhat surprised to see that the 2003 Estate Pinot Noir merited the same score that it has received every time I have tasted it. Although I have never been able to award it a perfect score, it is as close to perfect as one will find. A terrific success in a vintage that rarely produced Pinot Noir of this quality except at selected micro-climates on the Sonoma coast. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 92ST, 92W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the smallest crops to be included in the Ridge Monte Bello, only 32% of the production made it into the 2003, which is largely Cabernet Sauvignon (85%) and the rest Merlot and Petit Verdot. Out of barrel as well as post-bottling I liked this wine a lot, and it has changed very little from when I last tasted it in February, 2010. It boasts an inky/blue/purple color along with sweet black currant, blueberry, graphite, licorice and toasty vanillin aromas. The tannins are still noticeable in this full-bodied 2003, but seem reasonably well-integrated. (RP)" (06/2013)

Juicy red berries, hard candy, flowers, mint and spices are all woven together nicely. The whole clusters are very nicely balanced. Full-bodied with velvety tannins that have resolved themselves beautifully over the last eleven years, this wine is still an adolescent, but it exhibits admirable purity, texture, mouthfeel and power combined with elegance. Layered and rich, yet ultra-pure and also elegant, it gives up classic crème de cassis, lead pencil shavings, licorice and liquid flower like qualities to go with full-bodied richness and depth on the palate. Blackberry tart, ripe blueberry, cassis, milk chocolate, licorice and sweet, smoky cedar flavors flood the mouth, dramatically huge and memorable, and lasting long into the finish. The tannins are obvious, but sweetly ripe and soft. A brilliant evocation of Napa Cabernet, despite a high production level of nearly 30,000 cases, which is about the same size as a Bordeaux first growth. Bid on this bottle of 2011 Domaine Joseph Drouhin Griotte-Chambertin Grand Cru ((92-94BH), 92RP, (90-92ST)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This is very reduced though there is good freshness and verve to the notably rich and generous medium-bodied flavors that display enough minerality to add lift to the taut and muscular finish that packs plenty of punch but not rusticity. This is markedly austere and exceptionally serious and I would also describe this as very old school. I would advise buying this only with the intention of cellaring it for the long-term." 2003 Alban "Lorraine" Edna Valley Syrah
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 Alban "Lorraine" Edna Valley Syrah (99RP, 97WS, (92-94ST)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The limited production, well-structured, black/purple-tinged 2003 Syrah Lorraine Vineyard reveals oak along with tremendous amounts of creme de cassis-like characteristics. Dense, full-bodied, and rich with superb acidity, high, but well-integrated tannin, and a seamless finish that lasts over 60 seconds, this stunning effort is the finest Lorraine Syrah I have tasted. 1997 d'Yquem, Sauternes
Bid on this bottle of 1997 d'Yquem, Sauternes (96RP, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A sensational Yquem, 1997 may be this estate's finest effort since 1990 (although I would not discount the 1996 turning out to be nearly as good). The 1997's light gold color is accompanied a gorgeous perfume of caramel, honeysuckle, peach, apricot, and smoky wood. Full-bodied and unctuously-textured, with good underlying acidity as well as loads of sweetness and glycerin, it looks to be a great vintage for this renowned Sauternes estate. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2055." (04/2003)

2011 Rivers-Marie Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Rivers-Marie Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (91ST, 90RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "(13.8% alcohol; from the northeast corner of Occidental, which Thomas Brown described as his warmest site in vintage 2011): Good medium red. Aromas of plum, mocha, sassafras and earth, with aeration bringing higher-pitched notes of cherry and raspberry. Classic Sonoma Coast flavors of cranberry, pomegranate, sassafras and forest floor are given added punch by a hint of blood orange. The mouthwatering finish shows noteworthy thrust and persistence. A terrific value in Sonoma Coast pinot noir." (06/2013)

1992-1994 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Vertical

Of the 1992 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The deeper purple-colored 1992 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, which is being released in February, 1997, does not exhibit any of the Alexander Valley's herbaceous side. It offers more of the classic blackcurrant, cedar character. There is plenty of high quality, sexy, smoky oak in the nose to go along with copious quantities of jammy black fruits. Full-bodied, with a creamy texture, and a sweet, expansive, chewy mid-section, this dense, exceptionally rich 1992 will provide gorgeous drinking for 12-15 years. These All-American Cabernet Sauvignons continue to be 'can't miss' propositi

2001 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2001 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This was a spectacular performance from this hallowed vineyard as well as one of Napa Valley’s great historic terroirs. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, it reveals a still youthful personality and will benefit from another 5-7 years of bottle age. An opaque purple color is followed by aromas of graphite, creme de cassis, flowers and background earth as well as spice. The old eucalyptus-filled aromatics of a young Martha’s Vineyard are nowhere to be found as the 2001 is dominated by fruit and earth. Full-bodied and powerful with superb integration of wood, tannin, acidity and alcohol, this large-scaled red is capable of three or more decades of cellaring. It is unquestionably a youthful classic, but it requires patience from its owners. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2035." (06/2011)

2008 Linne Calodo "Slacker" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Linne Calodo "Slacker" Paso Robles Rhône Blend . From Robert Parker: "Matt Trevisan is one of Paso Robles’ up-and-coming stars. He’s doing everything right, and it’s good to see him planting a new estate vineyard of nearly 18 acres, building a new wine cellar, and taking full advantage of the gorgeous limestone soils on the hillsides of West Paso Robles. Trevisan has also been ahead of the curve in realizing that the finest Paso Robles wines are usually blends. Undeniably, he has demonstrated a Midas touch when it comes to assembling innovative blends. He is also the only winemaker in this region that I know of who is doing terrific work with Zinfandel, using it as the core component in some diverse as well as creative blends. His wines spend time in an assortment of different sized oak barrels, little of it new."

2004 Pride Mountain Napa/Sonoma Counties Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Pride Mountain Napa/Sonoma Counties Cabernet Sauvignon (93ST, 92WE). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Saturated, bright medium ruby. Crushed cassis, licorice and minerals on the nose. Pure, primary black fruit and mineral flavors framed and enlivened by surprisingly juicy acidity. Very firmly built, vibrant wine with the structure to reward aging. Winemaker Bob Foley noted that Pride's Cabernet had better than usual acidity in 2004, and certainly more than in 2003 or 2002; the harvest here lasted into early November." (06/2007)

Spicy red fruits and cocoa powder on the nose. Supple and silky on the palate, with fresh, nicely delineated flavors of redcurrant, flowers, spices and tobacco. Very nicely balanced wine, finishing with rather suave tannins and some lingering oakiness." (06/2007)

2008 Ramey Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Ramey Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon impresses for its layers of dark, plush fruit. Hints of cassis, grilled herbs, tobacco and cedar develop in the glass, adding further complexity and depth. Firm tannins frame the long finish. This is a very classic and beautiful Cabernet. In 2008 the blend is 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot, sourced from a number of sites, including Somerston, DeSantis, Lamoreaux and Snowden. Wine Spectator: "**#19 in the Wine Spectator's Top 100 Wines of 2008.** Honey, apple tart, light toffee, cream and piecrust. Very complex and full-bodied, with lively acidity and beautiful clove honey, red apple and lemon flavors. Long, balanced and very lively. A massive white. Layered and beautiful. Made to age, but who can wait to drink this? Best after 2010." (03/2008)

2009 Fleur Cardinale, St-Emilion
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2009 Fleur Cardinale, St-Emilion (94RP, 93JS, 93WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A good value among over-achieving St.-Emilion estates is La Fleur Cardinale’s 2009. Composed of 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, some of the abrasive tannins noticeable early on in this big wine (14.5% alcohol) are now sweeter and better integrated. Made from tiny yields of 30 hectoliters per hectare, this is a concentrated, rich effort revealing lots of black cherry and black currant fruit as well as a fragrant, firm, full-bodied personality. It should be at its best between 2016 and 2030. (RP)" (02/2012)

2007 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 93ST, 92JS, 92WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A great wine in the making, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate (just under 10,000 cases produced) possesses a fragrant bouquet of sweet black currants, crushed rocks, earth and background oak. Full-bodied and dense, with Montelena’s typical power, tannin and reserved nature, this is a big, rich, formidably endowed red that requires 4-5 years of cellaring. That in itself is atypical of this exuberant, flamboyant vintage. Given this cuvee’s past history, this 2007 should age for 30+ years." (12/2010)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Larcis Ducasse, St-Emilion (98RP, 97JS, 94ST, 94WS, (89-91WE)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The wine boasts 14.6% natural alcohol and is a final blend of roughly three-fourths Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc, cropped at a ridiculously low 19 hectoliters per hectare. Notes of licorice, garrigue, incense, smoked meats, espresso, creme de cassis and blackberry liqueur jump from the glass of this unbelievably intense wine. Remarkably full, with compelling freshness and precision, this is a fabulous effort in 2010. It will probably close down over the next several years, and not re-emerge for at least a decade, something that often happens with the bigger, richer, more muscular St.-Emilions from the limestone hillsides and plateaux. This is one of the superstars of the vintage and a profound wine. Drink it between 2020 and 2045. (RP) 98+" (02/2013)

2009 La Tour Figeac, St-Emilion
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 La Tour Figeac, St-Emilion (93JS, 93RP, 93WE, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The finest wine yet made by this estate run by Stephane Derenoncourt's wife, Christine, this blend of 78% Merlot and 22% Cabernet Franc tips the scales at 14+% alcohol. It exhibits copious aromas of blueberries, raspberries, asphalt, truffles, charcoal and a hint of graphite. Full-bodied and powerful with low acidity, excellent freshness and precision, and deep, glycerin-imbued, high octane flavors, the vintage’s tell-tale voluptuousness and opulence are nicely wedded to a sense of freshness and delineation. Drink this beautiful St.-Emilion over the next two decades. (RP)" (02/2012)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2009 Le Plus de La Fleur de Bouard, Lalande de Pomerol (96RP, 94JS, (92-93ST), 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " Take that quality and add additional layers of concentration, power, extract and wood, and you have the 2009 La Plus de La Fleur de Bouard. Only about 500 cases of this 100% Merlot are made. With notes of blueberry and blackberry liqueur intermixed with graphite and spring flowers, this wine is absolutely massive and not for everybody, but it is an example of what a conscientious and driven producer pushing the envelope can do in a satellite appellation such as Lalande de Pomerol. Moreover, I suspect it will last for at least two decades. (RP)" (02/2012)

2009 Leonetti Walla Walla Valley Merlot
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Leonetti Walla Walla Valley Merlot (94WE, 93RP, 92WS, 90ST). Wine Enthusiast: "Though 2009 was a difficult vintage for Washington Merlot, this is a truly luscious wine. It welcomes the taster instantly with massive, generous fruit cloaked in toasty, chewy, mocha and caramel flavors. Tasted over the course of 48 hours, it held up well, developing broad, well-integrated flavors of berries to complement the hedonistic oak. Sure to be a favorite among all the current releases from Leonetti." (09/2011)
