Bid on this bottle of 1988 Salon "Le Mesnil" Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne (96WS, 95ST, 94W&S). Wine Spectator: "A laser beam. So rich it's almost too much, but the vibrant acidity keeps everything in check and driving through the long finish." (11/2000)

2001 Beringer "Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Beringer "Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 94ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The spectacular 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Private Reserve came in at 14.2% natural alcohol. The good news is that winemaker Ed Sbragia produced 10,000 cases of this beauty. Just hitting late adolescence, this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon cuvee exhibits an opaque dark purple color along with a beautiful, smoky, sweet black currant, licorice, truffle, toast and underbrush-scented nose. With fabulous concentration, great intensity and tremendous purity, this voluptuously textured, full-bodied classic is one of the all-time great Beringer Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignons. While drinkable now, it will continue to evolve for at least another 20 years. " (06/2011)

Bid on this bottle of 1997 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 93AG, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The enormous 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain is a super-powerful, fabulously-concentrated, 50-year wine. Aromas and flavors of blackberry/cassis jam, minerals, and subtle oak are found in this extravagantly rich, gargantuan Cabernet Sauvignon that should age effortlessly for half a century. 2007 Domaine Comte de Vogüé Bonnes Mares Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Domaine Comte de Vogüé Bonnes Mares Grand Cru (94RP, 93BH, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "De Vogue’s 2007 Bonnes Mares calls to mind sweet-tart black raspberry candies and herbal lozenges, along with notes of brown spices and smoky black tea. Rich, sedate, and provocatively sweet and perfumed, this manages simultaneously to preserve a saline savor and suggestion of lobster shell reduction that precludes anyone calling it a 'fruit bomb.' The smoky and--for lack of a better covering term-- 'mineral' elements accompany this Bonnes Mares' soothing finish all the way to its distant end. No doubt there is at least a decade’s worth of seduction and intrigue on hand, but here too, I would not hesitate to relish them significantly sooner. (DS)" (06/2010)

1993 Cheval Blanc, St-Emilion
Bid on this bottle of 1993 Cheval Blanc, St-Emilion (91ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good full ruby-red. Knockout, complex nose offers vibrant aromas of raspberry, sour red cherry, strawberry, licorice and violet, complicated by white pepper and rose. Then moderately dense and fresh in the mouth, with delicately spicy notes of redcurrant, strawberry, licorice, coffee and minerals. This rather elegantly styled wine finishes bright and fresh, with firm, highly polished tannins. This midweight Cheval Blanc lacks the density and concentration of the better vintages, but it has an amazingly pure nose of Cabernet Franc (I'd score this 95 or more for its aromas) that is a joy to inhale. For those with deep pockets, it's also a fantastic food wine, and a simply amazing buy, since it will cost much less than many other more sought-after Cheval Blanc vintages." (10/2011)

Full-bodied, beautifully concentrated, yet also graceful and light on its feet, this incredible effort flirts with perfection and should have 15-20 years of longevity. (JD)" (06/2014)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Syrah The Skull comes from a different section of the Royal Slope. If it is possible, the wine is a bit more structured and powerful. It needs 8-10 years of cellaring and will be at its best from 2017 to 2035. " (06/2008)

2007 Clos des Papes Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Clos des Papes Châteauneuf-du-Pape (99RP, 97WS, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "It is unquestionably one of the great Chateauneufs of my lifetime...Wow, what potential complexity, mind-boggling richness, and compelling flavor profile are apparent. It is a sublime expression of the art of winemaking as evidenced by its dense purple color and big, sweet kiss of kirsch, framboise, blackberries, licorice, roasted herbs, and smoked meat. It hits the palate with a fascinating combination of substance, power, full-bodied authority yet extraordinary freshness, elegance, and precision. Give it 3-4 years of cellaring, and watch it unleash its glory over the next three decades. This is a prodigious wine of great quality from one of the most important reference point estates in Chateauneuf du Pape. 99+ (RP)" (10/2009)

1995 Vieux-Château-Certan, Pomerol
Bid on this bottle of 1995 Vieux-Château-Certan, Pomerol (93RP, 92WS, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This bottle is not quite in the same league as ones tasted two or three years ago, but the ’95 remains one of Alexandre’s standout wines of that decade. Here, it has a haunting bouquet whereby the Cabernet Franc component is more conspicuous than before, essentially with more Pomerol character developing. There are touches of blackberry, mint and cassis with a meaty element developing in the glass. The palate has plenty of sweet red cherry and boysenberry on the entry, the oak now completely absorbed and with a slightly unruly, almost Rioja-like finish! Hedonistic VCC! Drink 2017-2035. Tasted October 2012. (Neal Martin's Wine Journal)" (09/2013)

1985 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1985 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac (94RP, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " This is a great Pichon-Lalande wallowing in its maturity. Here it retains that enticing tobacco-infused nose with leather and a touch of thyme, the palate beautifully balanced with tarry black fruit, vibrant acidity, mellow and supple with a touch of game coming through. Supple with firm tannins marrying naturally on the finish that has the texture (though not alcohol!) of a tawny port. I suspect this has not intention of ameliorating further and alongside the 1983, these are the Pichon Lalande’s to start depleting in your cellar. Drink now-2018. Tasted January 2010. 1994 Opus One Napa Valley Proprietary Red
Bid on this bottle of 1994 Opus One Napa Valley Proprietary Red (92RP, 91AG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This is an impressive effort from Opus One. The wine, a blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc, 2% Merlot, and 1% Malbec, possesses a dark ruby/purple color, followed by a generous, complex nose of lead pencil, toasty oak, violets, and black currants. In the mouth, there is a beautiful texture, soft, generous, low acid, full-bodied richness, and a stunningly proportioned, rich, intense finish. The influence of 18 months in new French oak casks gives the wine a subtle oaky note in addition to giving it excellent delineation. Because of the wine's softness and generosity, it can be drunk now as well as over the next 18-20 years." (12/1997)

1983 Palmer, Margaux
Bid on this bottle of 1983 Palmer, Margaux (98RP, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This wine goes from strength to strength, and is certainly a candidate for 'wine of the vintage.' It has surpassed even Chateau Margaux in recent tastings. The color is an opaque plum/purple. The wine has a fabulously complex nose of smoked duck, white flowers, cedar, Asian spice, creme de cassis, melted licorice, and espresso. Super-concentrated, very powerful, full-bodied, and huge, this is undeniably, one of the biggest, most concentrated, and powerful Palmers made in the last 40 years. The wines has thrown off the rugged tannins that were so prominent during its first 10-15 years of life and has become increasingly seamless and compelling. Potentially this wine remains the most extraordinary Palmer after the 1961. Anticipated maturity: Now-2020. " (01/2003)

Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Highly nuanced, musky nose combines lemon, truffle and toasty, charred oak. Big, rich and vibrant; already wonderfully aromatic in the mouth. A large-scaled, layered wine that unfolds slowly and lingers long on the aftertaste. The old-vines component of this wine featured a full 13.8% alcohol with a low pH of 3.18. " (10/2001)

2001 Domaine Ramonet Chevalier Montrachet Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2001 Domaine Ramonet Chevalier Montrachet Grand Cru. 96 points from Allen Meadows: "Beautifully expressive and strikingly complex aromas of acacia, honeysuckle, white flower and intense minerality trimmed in a bit of wood toast lead to stunningly pure, delineated and focused flavors of unbelievable length. This is refined, graceful and superbly elegant all wrapped in perfect balance and there is an almost Zen-like harmony here of understatement yet great flavor authority. There is the very subtle extra dimension of sheer class that drives this to another level. I particularly like the energy here and unlike a number of 2001s that are displaying ample development, this is still backward. Tasted several times with consistent notes."

Bid on this magnum of 2007 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (1.5L) (100RP, 98WS, 97ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Utter perfection, and one of the most profound Rhone Ranger wines I have ever tasted... As with many prodigious wines, the extraordinary freshness, purity, equilibrium, and singularity of this effort is breathtaking. Its dense purple color is accompanied by an extraordinary, incredibly pure, all enveloping, intense, sweet nose of black raspberries, kirsch, spring flowers, spice box, and pepper. 2010 Sine Qua Non "Stockholm Syndrome" Sta. Rita Hills Syrah
Bid on this bottle of 2010 Sine Qua Non "Stockholm Syndrome" Sta. Rita Hills Syrah (100RP, 97AG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Syrah Stockholm Syndrome is a monumental effort that will stand toe-to-toe with the greatest Syrahs in the world. A blend of 96% Syrah, 3% Roussanne and 1% Viognier, it was fermented with 16% whole cluster before spending just under 42 months in 100% new French oak. It offers an incredible array of sweet dark fruits, cassis, white chocolate, licorice and hints of bacon fat that meld perfectly with its full-bodied, seamless, layered and impeccably put-together palate. Given the wealth of fruit here, it’s amazing how this stays light, graceful and elegant, without ever seeming over the top in any way. Bid on this bottle of 2008 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac (98RP, 97WE, 95JS, 93ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A candidate for the wine of the vintage, the 2008 should have been purchased before it began to soar in value because of the significance of the number 8 in the Chinese culture (denoting good luck). Representing 40% of the production, this blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc offers aromas of high quality unsmoked cigar tobacco, lead pencil shavings, creme de cassis, earth, cedar and asphalt. Full, rich and stunningly concentrated... Showy and impressive with excellent use of new oak. It delivers loads of toasty coconut and chocolate flavors balanced by plum and blackberry notes. Incredible concentration for the vintage. Supple, long finish." (01/96) 92 points Robert Parker: "A candidate for the most concentrated wine of the vintage, this 1993 exhibits a saturated purple/plum color, and a sweet nose of black fruits, Asian spices, and vanilla. Huge and formidably rich, this powerful, dense, super-pure wine is a tour de force in winemaking. For a vintage not known for wines of this immense richness and length, this brawny, splendidly endowed Petrus possesses low acidity and high tannin, suggesting that 8-10 years of cellaring are required. This should be a 30-year wine, as well as the vintage's longest-lived effort. Very impressiv

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2005 Domaine Groffier Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Amoureuses" (93RP, (89-92BH), 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses offers gorgeous aromas of black raspberry, bergamot, orange zest, narcissus and white pepper. Lovely deep, dark fruit shadings with subtle chalkiness and fresh, raw meatiness along with persistent inner-mouth florality inform a firmly but finely tannic and expansive palate. This really sticks to the gums, with a superb smoky, sappy, pungent persistence." (04/2007)

Wine Enthusiast: "In keeping with its place on the boundary of Morey Saint-Denis and Chambolle-Musigny, this Bonnes-Mares marries the refinement of great Chambolle with the more tough, powered character of Morey. It’s smoky, powerful and solid with an explosion of fruits in the mouth, but leaving mouth-watering freshness to finish." (03/2007)

1998 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1998 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 92WS, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon, which was bottled in late June, has turned out even better that I thought last year. It boasts a saturated ruby/purple color in addition to an expressive bouquet of cassis, minerals, and smoke. This multi-textured, round wine exhibits sweet, well-integrated tannin, a great mid-palate and finish, as well as spectacular purity and palate presence. Consume it now and over the next 15-20 years. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2001 Arnaldo Caprai Sagrantino di Montefalco "25 Anni" (95RP, 93WE, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2001 Montefalco Sagrantino 25 Anni, the selection but 50,000 bottles worth, is warmer, ampler, and decisively more powerful on the nose, richer and fuller in flavor than the regular bottling, but with a velvet in the texture that makes it already approachable. There are, nonetheless, easily 15 years of exceptional drinking ahead. (DT)" (04/2006)

2010 Sine Qua Non "Stockholm Syndrome" Sta. Rita Hills Grenache
Bid on this bottle of 2010 Sine Qua Non "Stockholm Syndrome" Sta. Rita Hills Grenache (100RP, 96AG, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " The current release of the estate vineyard (a.k.a. the extended barrel-aged cuvee), the 2010 Grenache Stockholm Syndrome is an incredible effort that I couldn’t find a fault with. A blend of 75% Grenache, 22% Syrah, 2% Roussanne and 1% Viognier, all from the Eleven Confession Vineyard, it spent just under 30 months in 22% new and 78% used French oak prior to bottling. Locked and loaded, it knocks it out of the park with its cassis, licorice, smoked duck, spice-box and exotic herb-styled bouquet. The palate follows suit and while it has the expected depth and richness of the estate, it’s seamless, elegant and lively, with perfect balance, ultra-fine tannin and a finish that just won’t quit. It doesn’t get any better and count yourself lucky if you can latch onto a couple of these. It will thrill for 15-20 years. (JD)" (08/2014)

Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2010 Cantemerle, Haut-Médoc (OWC - 94JS, 94RP, 92WE, 91WS, 90ST) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The wine needs a good 7-10 years of cellaring and should keep for 30 more years, but this is the finest Cantemerle I have encountered in my professional career of tasting young vintages (dating back 34 years now). Stunningly deep ruby/purple, with a beautiful nose of spring flowers intermixed with perfumed raspberry and blueberry notes, it exhibits a sort of cool-climate character. Broad, rich and intense on the palate, the wine has plenty of tannins, but they are sweet and well-integrated. Everything is delicately entwined into this beautiful, medium to full-bodied, dense purple wine, which shows stunning character and a prodigious potential for development. This is definitely a major sleeper of the vintage and even better than I thought from barrel. With its 2010, this classified growth located in the southern end of the Medoc may well have m

2009 Croix de Labrie, St-Emilion
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 Croix de Labrie, St-Emilion (95RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Always one of Bordeaux's most endearing and charming wines, Croix de Labrie's wines generally offer an unctuous texture as well as enormous quantities of fruit. Made from 100% Merlot, the 2009 (about 300 cases produced) exhibits smoky black currant and raspberry liqueur notes intermixed with notions of licorice, graphite and wood smoke. Intense and unctuously textured with low acidity as well as sweet tannin, it is a hedonistic St.-Emilion fruit bomb to enjoy in its first 12-15 years of life. Sadly, it is virtually impossible to find this head-turning claret. (RP)" (02/2012)

Bid on this bottle of 1999 Lalou Bize-Leroy Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru (95RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The dark ruby-colored 1999 Mazis-Chambertin has an awesome nose that reveals violets, intense blackberries, and sweet cherries. This deep, profound wine has admirable focus, great purity, harmony, and a mind-bogglingly long finish. Loads of tangy griotte (morello) cherries can be found throughout this exceptional wine's character. It is powerful, elegant, and extroverted. (PR)" (06/2001)

2009 Forman Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2009 Forman Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon appears to have clamped down a bit since I tasted it last year. An unusually up-front, juicy wine from Forman, the 2009 is laced with expressive dark red fruit, flowers, mint, cinnamon, licorice and menthol. There is a softness and suppleness to the 2009 that is impossible not to love. Layers of fruit continue to build on the juicy, silky finish. The 2009 looks to be one of the more accessible wines of the vintage, but it also needs at least several years to lose some of its baby fat and primary notes. The French oak is also a bit prominent, providing one clue as to the wine’s ultimate potential vis-a-vis the monumental 2010. The 2009 is 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cabernet Franc, 8% Petit Verdot and 5% Merlot. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2029. (AG)" (12/2012)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2005 Duhart-Milon-Rothschild, Pauillac (94RP, 93WS, 91ST, 90WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The finest Duhart-Milon ever made? This structured, tannic, dense ruby/purple-tinged Pauillac offers up hints of cassis, licorice, chocolate, and earth. Medium to full-bodied with good purity, strong tannins, and undeniable elegance, it reveals a character not dissimilar from its renowned sibling, Lafite-Rothschild... It is unquestionably outstanding, but to my taste, slightly less opulent than the estate’s ethereal 2003. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2030. (RP)" (04/2008)

2009 Gracia, St-Emilion
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2009 Gracia, St-Emilion (98RP, 94JS, 94ST, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Gracia competes handsomely with the spectacular 2005 and 2000 vintages. A slightly more evolved and fleshy effort, the inky/purple-hued 2009 (75 % Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon) is a massive, thick powerhouse with 14.5% natural alcohol. Proprietor Michel Gracia often makes a wine that is similar to that of his friend, the proprietor of Ausone. Blueberry, blackberry, licorice, forest floor, smoke and graphite aromas jump from the glass of this unctuously textured, layered, multidimensional St.-Emilion. Displaying an inner core of extract (yields were only 19 hectoliters per hectare) and not a hard edge to be found, this youthful 2009 tastes more like a barrel sample than a finished wine. It will benefit from 5-10 years of cellaring and should last for 3-4 decades." (02/2012)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 Domaine Marquis d'Angerville Volnay 1er Cru "Caillerets" (93BH, 93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The estate’s 2009 Volnay Les Caillerets is one of the more focused, vibrant wines in this lineup. Dark red fruit, mint and spices are some of the nuances that emerge in the glass. The Caillerets impresses for its drive and sheer energy, both qualities that should allow it to age gracefully for a number of years. D’Angerville’s 0.5 hectare plot is at the top of the vineyard. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2039." (05/2011)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Schrader Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard is one of the more plush, overt wines in this lineup. There is tremendous depth in the fruit in this massive, sweeping wine. The aromas and flavors build towards the cascading finish. The Schrader is a decidedly big, muscular wine that emphasizes power over detail. The Schrader is predominantly clone 4 from the D2 block, with a dollop of clone 6 from the D2 block and clone 337 from the B2 block. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2029. (AG)"
