The long finish lets everything drape together beautifully. Absolutely stunning, this seems in no hurry to go anywhere. Remarkably fresh and defined at this time. (Web Only-2014)"

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Pavie, St-Emilion (95RP, 93ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A brilliant effort from proprietors Chantal and Gerard Perse, Pavie’s 2004 (7,050 cases) exhibits an inky/ruby/purple color, a surprisingly soft, forward style for this hallowed terroir, full-bodied, and concentrated creme de cassis flavors intermixed with cherries, truffles, and subtle smoky wood notes. This big, mountain-styled 2001 exhibits lots of structure, tannin, density and powerful flavors. Wonderfully sweet and dense in the mouth, saturating every square millimeter of the palate. A magical combination of syrah energy and merlot breadth. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "More European in style than some of its siblings, the 2008 exhibits good acidity, more noticeable tannin (but it is extremely young), and plenty of crushed rock, espresso roast and licorice characteristics intermixed with a volcanic minerality. Full-bodied, ripe and opulent, with a closed, formidable personality, it should be at its apogee between 2018 and 2035. 96+ (RP)"

Grilled herbs, smoke, plum and black cherry notes all meld together in an exquisite, gracious wine loaded with finesse and elegance. Bid on this bottle of 2010 Paul Hobbs "Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95JS, 95RP, 94ST, 93WE, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From one of the great sites in Oakville, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard bristles on the palate with considerable energy and focus. Freshly cut flowers, red berries and crushed rocks all come to life in the glass. In 2010 Las Piedras stands out for its bright, intense salinity, which is the essential characteristic of this site. The 2010 needs at least a few years in bottle to settled down, but it is drop-dead gorgeous, even today. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2030. 95+ (AG)"

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2006 Kongsgaard "Vio Rous" Napa Valley Viognier-Roussanne (95RP, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of California’s most exotic whites is Kongsgaard’s innovative blend of Roussanne and Viognier. It is reminiscent of some of Sine Qua Non’s whites. The 2006 Roussanne/Viognier (60% and 40% respectively) exhibits classic aromas of rose petals, lychee nuts, pineapples, honeysuckle, and a touch of lilacs. This exotic, exuberant wine will either be loved or hated by consumers. I happen to love it. (RP)" (12/2007)

Gorgeous acidity buttresses the wine’s full-bodied, concentrated mouthfeel and freshness. It could easily pass for a grand cru from Chassagne-Montrachet. (RP)" (12/2006)

Bid on this bottle of 2008 Maybach Family "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 95WE, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Materium comes from a single block called the Weitz Vineyard at a 1,000-foot elevation on the eastern hillsides of Oakville. It would be hard to improve upon the virtually perfect 2007, but the 2008 is not far behind. Notes of graphite, blueberry, charcoal, spring flowers, and some background oak are followed by a dense, purple-colored wine with full-bodied power, great elegance, precision, and purity. This is again an extraordinary effort from Maybach. It should drink well for 20-25 years. (RP)" (12/2010)

2002 Marquis d'Angerville Volnay 1er Cru "Clos des Ducs"
Bid on this bottle of 2002 Marquis d'Angerville Volnay 1er Cru "Clos des Ducs" (93BH, 92RP, 92ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Even after 10 years this remains almost as primary as when it was bottled as there are no secondary hints in evidence on the elegant and pure red berry fruit and stone-infused nose. The detailed, intense and strongly mineral-driven medium-bodied flavors possess a sophisticated mouth feel while coating the palate with dry extract. There is a noticeably firm acid spine on the moderately austere and gorgeously persistent finish. This is a distinctly understated vintage for Clos des Ducs that seems to be evolving at a glacially slow pace...As d'Angerville suggests, these '02s are brilliantly balanced and while they may not last quite as long as the more structured '99s, they are genuinely stunning wines. 1988 Lamarche Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru “La Grand Rue”

Their son, Henri Lamarche, born in 1903, took over the estate. It possesses a dense purple color in addition to a gorgeous perfume of espresso roast, melted fudge, black currants, cherries and subtle smoke as well as earth, great intensity, and full-bodied opulence, in a voluptuous, juicy, unctuously textured style that cascades over the palate with no hard edges. 2009 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru. According to the importer, Michael Skurnik Wines: "Pierre Yves Colin was the winemaker for his father's Domaine Marc Colin until 2005. He began his own domaine, first as a micro-négociant operation, focusing on tiny quantities of the finest wines that he can buy. Now he has grown his domaine with the help of family holdings to 70% plots that he owns and 30% grapes he purchases. His holdings are mostly in Chassagne-Montrachet (where the domaine is located) but he also produces multiple bottlings of Meursault, St. Aubin, and Puligny-Montrachet. Pierre-Yves has rapidly become a star in Cote de Beaune and is now considered one of the pre-eminent young producers of White Burgundy. His choice to use larger demi-muid barrels and eschew the use of battonnage, makes each one of his bottlings a clear expression of its terroir and a study in mineral-driven Chardonnay. 2012 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon, CCS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2012 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon, CCS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer to Kalon Vineyard CCS is Clone 4 from another block, and always seems to hit all the sweet spots on my palate. It’s aged 20 months in 100% new Darnajou barrels. The good news is there are 520 cases of it. Just a prodigious wine, this spectacular Cabernet Sauvignon is inky bluish/purple with a gorgeous nose of spring flowers, blueberry, blackberry and cassis fruit, a touch of background toast and graphite. It has a very full-bodied, multidimensional mouthfeel and a skyscraper-like finish. It is fabulously open, sexy and a total thrill to smell and taste. This should continue to drink well for two decades. (RP)" (10/2014)

2004 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2004 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (100RP, 95ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "To quote my original tasting note, the 2004 Pinot Noir Marcassin Estate is -utterly profound.- Still youthful, this adolescent hits all the sweet spots on the palate as well as the olfactory senses. Dense plum/purple-colored with notes of Asian soy, porcini mushrooms, roasted meats, barbecue spices and lots of blueberry, plum, raspberry and black currant fruit, it is a deep, full-bodied, opulent tour de force in winemaking. Its youthfulness suggests it will continue to drink beautifully for at least another 15-20 years. (RP)" (06/2014)

Classic cigar box nose, with fruit. Full-bodied, with an amazing texture of silky, ripe tannins. This wine completely coats your palate, but caresses it at the same time. This is the best young Lafite ever made. A triumph. Best after 2012." (03/2003)

Of the 2011 Sine Qua Non "Dark Blossom" California Syrah,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2011 Syrah Dark Blossom showed even better from bottle than barrel. A blend of 84% Syrah, 8% Grenache, 4% Petite Sirah and the rest Roussanne and Petite Manseng, this beauty was fermented with 17% whole clusters and aged in equal parts new and used French oak. One of the shining successes in the vintage, it’s a full-bodied, concentrated and layered Syrah that has awesome aromatics of blackcurrants, Peking duck, pepper, licorice and charcuterie in its seamless, thrillingly pure profile. As with Manfred’s other 2011s, the tannins are certainly present, yet they’re sweet, polished and have no hard edges. Give this beauty 2-3 years in the cellar

1974 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1974 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I had this wine twice over a period of thirty days, rating it an astounding 99 and 98 points. A monumental California Cabernet Sauvignon, it appears to have approached its plateau of maturity but should easily last for 20-25 more years. There is no rust, amber, or brown to the saturated dark purple color. The spectacular, huge, Mouton-Rothschild-like nose of mint, cassis, lead pencil, and toast is remarkably youthful. Staggeringly concentrated, this full-bodied, super-rich wine possesses moderate tannin, fresh, lively acidity, and a blockbuster, rich, fleshy finish. This is a monumental effort! (And 94 points Neil Martin: 'The legendary ’74! A deep mahogany core with a tawny rim." (08/1994)
