Bid on this bottle of 2007 Lokoya Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A classic mountain-styled effort is the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Spring Mountain. Blueberries, acacia flowers, and lavender make appearances in this offering as well as a strong minerality, a subtle hint of oak, endearing elegance, medium to full body, a textured, layered mouthfeel, and superb purity, length, and overall equilibrium. Of the 1995 Bacio Divino Napa Valley Red Blend,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The second awesome release from this tiny winery dedicated to producing intriguing wines, the 1995 Bacio Divino (a blend of 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Sangiovese, and 12% Petit Sirah) is a formidable wine of exceptional richness, layers of flavor, and a multi-dimensional personality. The color is a deep saturated ruby/purple. The nose offers up juicy/jammy strawberry, black currant, and blackberry notes wrapped with subtle toasty oak. Full-bodied, with outstanding ripeness and purity, a silky texture, and an explosive finish, this is a sumptuous example of what can be done with three grapes rarely blended together in such proportions. Bid on this magnum of 2012 Spottswoode Napa-Sonoma Counties Sauvignon Blanc (1.5L) (90AG, 90WS). Antonio Galloni: " The 2012 Sauvignon Blanc is gorgeous. White peach, flowers, sage, mint and flowers all flesh out in the glass. A creamy, expressive wine, the 2012 impresses for its pure texture and breadth. Exotic floral notes from the significant presence of Sauvignon Musque gives the wine an attractive sense of lift. The 2012 was made from a handful of top sites and aged in a combination of steel, oak and cement. (Antonio Galloni)"

2007 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Merlot
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Merlot (96RP, 94WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the finest Merlots being made in Napa is the 2007 Merlot (87% Merlot and 13% Cabernet Sauvignon). It has evolved gorgeously since tasted from barrel last year. This sumptuous wine offers beautiful melted chocolate, cocoa, and espresso notes intermixed with black cherry, plum, fig, and blackberry fruit. This opulent, full-bodied, sexy, prodigious California Merlot should give Kapcsandy’s Roberta’s Reserve a run for its money over the next 15-20 years. One of California’s super-star producers, Pahlmeyer’s wines have a fabulous track record of aging well. This estate was one of Helen Turley’s first clients, and since she departed one of her assistants, Erin Green, has continued to turn out sumptuous reds as well as exquisite Chardonnays."

2002 Domaine des Comtes Lafon Volnay "Santenots du Milieu" 1er Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2002 Domaine des Comtes Lafon Volnay "Santenots du Milieu" 1er Cru (93RP, 92ST, 91BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2002 Volnay Santenot has a lovely open, generous bouquet with vibrant red fruit: redcurrant, freshly picked raspberry and wild hedgerow – perhaps just a touch of pine cone in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with a rounded, succulent entry. It feels harmonious and luscious in the mouth, the tannins just beginning to soften after a decade in bottle. There is something quite feminine about the 2002 although it does not quite possess the complexity or nuance of the 2005. Drink 2015-2030. Tasted September 2013. (NM)" (12/2013)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The first of a succession of brilliant wines that have emerged from this previously moribund estate over the last decade, the fully mature 2000 Lascombes is an outstanding effort. Notes of cedarwood, roasted herbs, incense, black cherries, and currants emerge from this medium-bodied, evolved Margaux. Consume it over the next 7-8 years." (06/2010)

1996 Ausone, St-Emilion
Bid on this bottle of 1996 Ausone, St-Emilion (93RP, 93ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The color is a dense ruby/black/purple. Reluctant aromas of blueberries, blackberries, minerals, flowers, truffles, and subtle new oak eventually emerge. Elegant on the attack, with sweet ripeness, and a delicate, concentrated richness, the hallmark of this wine is subtlety rather than flamboyance. A sweet mid-palate sets it apart from many of the uninspiring Ausones of the eighties and seventies. The wine is stylish, and presently understated, with tremendous aging potential. (RP)" (04/1999)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Au Bon Climat "30th Vintage Bien Nacido Estate Plantings" Santa Maria Valley Pinot Noir (92ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Dark red. Expansive, seductively perfumed bouquet offers redcurrant, spiced cherry, pungent herbs and flowers and a bright mineral quality. Fresh but also concentrated, displaying sweet red fruit flavors and a refreshingly bitter pomegranate quality. Silky tannins build on the extended finish, which repeats the sweet red berry flavors and lingers impressively. I really like the combination of depth and lift here. " (11/2007)

1966 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1966 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac. Clive Coates: "Very good vigorous full colour. Much more vigorous that the 1970. Much richer and more stylish too. Very elegant fruit on the nose. On the palate this also shows a little age, like the 1967 and 1970. But it is the richest, ripest and plumpest of the three. Good concentrated fruit. Fatter than the 1970. Much more elegance. Long but not that intense or concentrated. Very good indeed, but not a great 1966. Wine Enthusiast: "This is, as always, a gorgeous wine, rich, balanced and delicious. It shows classic Napa Valley ripeness, with blackberry jam, plum, dark chocolate and sweet oak flavors. Plush and velvety doesn’t begin to do it justice. Despite its fabulous lushness, this is a wine to age. Depending on your taste, it will provide excellence from now until 2030. Cellar Selection." 2011 Quilceda Creek "Galitzine Vineyard" Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2011 Quilceda Creek "Galitzine Vineyard" Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Galitzine Vineyard comes all from the Golitzin’s Red Mountain vineyard and is almost all Cabernet Sauvignon. One of the richest and most concentrated wines in the vintage, it offer fabulous creme de cassis, black raspberry, graphite, toast and licorice aromas and flavors to go with a full-bodied, seamless and beautifully balanced profile on the palate. As expected, it doesn’t have the sheer wealth of material that’s present in the prior vintages, yet everything is perfectly proportioned, it has excellent mid-palate depth and notable, sweet tannin. It benefits from a decant and will have upwards of two decades of longevity. " (06/2014)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " The 2007 Langhe Conteisa is impeccably ripe and silky on the palate, with expressive La Morra red fruits, flowers, mint and spices that emerge from the glass. This is another soft, seamless wine from Gaja, with gorgeous purity in the fruit that carries through all the way to the deeply satisfying, creamy finish. The tannins remain impeccably refined and beautifully balanced with the fruit. The wine is likely to firm up a touch in bottle, but it should be one of the most accessible of Gaja’s 2007s. The 2007 is easily among the finest Conteisas ever made. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2027. (AG)" (02/2010)

Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2006 Alter Ego de Palmer, Margaux (OWC - 92W&S, (89-91WS)) in original wood. Wine & Spirits: "This blend is selected to offer more immediate pleasure than the Palmer (recommended above), and it succeeds in 2006 with lovely fullness of Cabernet balanced by the rich textural nuance of Merlot. It's a succulent, black wine, with detailed scents of cherry, mushroom and meat. A polished Margaux to enjoy over the next five or six years, this would be delicious with a rosemary'd leg of lamb." Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Horsepower "Sur Echalas Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (OWC - (97-100RP)) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A new wine for 2012, the 2012 Syrah Sur Echalas Vineyard (same vineyard as the Grenache, and located just beside the Cayuse estate and the Armada Vineyard) is a stunning example of the quality coming from these rocky soils around Milton Freewater. Offering incredible notes of pepper, bacon fat, steak tartare, olive paste and deep, savory dark fruit, this full-bodied barrel sample has fabulous concentration, beautiful purity and a blockbuster finish. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Barolo Falletto is an exuberant and exciting wine with tight, firming tannins surrounded by deep layers of dried cherry, licorice, cassis, moist tobacco and campfire ash. What sets this Barolo apart is the focus and care it shows on the bouquet. It is as if each layer is a separately audible voice in a united chorus of flavors and aromas. Also notable is the balanced acidity that adds a bite of freshness without being too sharp. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2035. (ML)" (06/2013)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2008 Ducru-Beaucaillou, St-Julien (95RP, 94JS, 94WE, 92ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the stars of the vintage, and a remarkable achievement in 2008, with impressive richness, this dense purple colored wine is almost as opaque as the 2010. Spring flowers, crushed rocks, creme de cassis and some subtle oak are followed by a full-bodied, concentrated wine that transcends the vintage character in its power, richness, and aging potential. It also exhibits tremendous precision, purity, and depth of character. It is more forward than the 2010 is likely to be, but probably not as sumptuous as the 2009 will turn out to be. This is a wine to buy. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2035." (05/2011)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2011 Comte Armand Pommard 1er Cru "Clos des Epeneaux" (Monopole) (92AG, 92BH, 92ST, 91RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: " Bright medium red. Shy aromas of redcurrant, plum and spicy underbrush are less pristine than those of the young 2012. Supple and energetic, with dark cherry, raspberry and soil tones accented by minerals and peppery herbs. Nicely perfumed and savory wine with a restrained sweetness and very good verve. The dusty tannins should support mid-term aging." (03/2014)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The wine out distances both Leoville Las Cases and Leoville Barton, but all three of them are compelling efforts. Full-bodied, dense purple in color, with floral notes intermixed with blackberries, cassis, graphite and spring flowers, this full-bodied, legendary effort is long and opulent, with wonderfully abundant yet sweet tannin, a skyscraper-like mid-palate and a thrilling, nearly one-minute finish. This spectacular effort from Poyferre that should drink well for 30+ years. (98+) (RP)" (02/2013)

1996 Margaux, Margaux
Bid on this bottle of 1996 Margaux, Margaux (99RP, 96ST, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1996 Chateau Margaux, which was bottled in September 1998, is undoubtedly one of the great classics produced under the Mentzelopoulos regime. In many respects it is the quintessential Chateau Margaux, as well as the paradigm for this estate, combining measured power, extraordinary elegance, and admirable complexity. I tasted the wine of three separate occasions in January, and in short, it's a beauty! The color is opaque purple. The wine offers extraordinarily pure notes of blackberries, cassis, pain grille, and flowers, gorgeous sweetness, a seamless personality, and full body, with nothing out of place." (04/1999)

2011 No Girls "La Paciencia Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 No Girls "La Paciencia Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (95RP, 94WE, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "In the same mold, with the buzzwords being finesse and elegance, the 2011 Syrah La Paciencia Vineyard offers textbook pepper, olive tapenade, smoke and crunchy berry fruits in its medium to full-bodied, seamless and beautifully textured profile. Showing impressive complexity and already hard to resist, I-d lean towards drinking bottles over the coming decade as well. Distinctly different from both the Cayuse and Horsepower releases, winemaker Elizabeth Bourcier continues to fine-tune these No Girls releases and they always show a perfumed, lively style that-s hard to resist. They all come from the La Paciencia Vineyard, which is located in The Rocks around the town of Milton-Freewater, and all of the wines see only neutral oak. (JD)" (06/2014)

1963 Quinta do Noval Vintage Port
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1963 Quinta do Noval Vintage Port (91RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A light rust, garnet hue with degradated deep brick rim. The nose is comparatively simple with scents of cherry, spice, iron rust and wild strawberry. Perhaps a little flat compared to the others. A medium-bodied palate, quite pretty, with damson, cherries and a touch of sloes. Quite cohesive, though lacking the breeding of great 1963’s. But the finish is pleasantly harmonious with good vigour, though perhaps rather linear. Given its reputation, this is actually better than I anticipated. Something tells me that this is an over-performing bottle, but this is a lovely, elegant mature port. Tasted February 2007. (NM-Wine Journal)" (07/2007)

1996 Krug Brut Champagne
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1996 Krug Brut Champagne (100W&S, 99ST, 99WS, 98AG, 98RP). Wine & Spirits: "It's hard to imagine how a wine of this power can sustain perfect balance. What is now a more nonchalant intensity in the aroma was, in fact, too much to handle when we tasted this last year, as if the wine had no time for mere humans with their limited sense receptors. If you stop to taste ripe pear, ginger spice, apple blossom and butterscotch the wine leaves you lost in random flavor descriptors as it soars off into a vinous glow that lasts for minutes. This may well be the greatest vintage wine of Henri Krug's career (unless it is challenged by the 2002). It is impossible to predict how long this wine will thrive in bottle, though considering the current fine condition of the 1959 Krug, the first 50 years are a given." (12/2008)

The 300 acre estate has four vineyard developments, each with its own elevation, exposure, and soil composition. The estate vineyard development areas are connected by a two and one half mile drive from the Valley floor to the Ridge of Diamond Mountain through dense forests of Redwood, Douglas fir, Madrone and Oak...Checkerboard is made in very small amounts (300 cases generally) and represents a number of select vineyard blocks on the estate...is delicious now, but will reward your patience by becoming even more delicious with time." 2001 Cheval Blanc, St-Emilion
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Cheval Blanc, St-Emilion (95JS, 95W&S, 93RP, 92ST, 92WS). James Suckling: "I have always believed in the 2001 Cheval Blanc. It may even be better than the more highly thought of 2000 and it's certainly much less expensive. It sells for about $550 a bottle compared to $1000 a bottle for the 2000. I drank it recently again and it's so layered and gorgeous. A wine with superb texture and cedar and chocolate. Full and velvety tannins with sweet tobacco and meat with dried plums. Firm and chewy yet tight and reserved. So young. Decant two hours before serving. Drink or hold. " (12/2014)

2000 La Conseillante, Pomerol
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2000 La Conseillante, Pomerol (96RP, (90-93ST), 92JS, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "La Conseillante made an excellent wine in 2001, another great one in 2005, and the estate hit home runs in both 2008 and, above all, in 2009. In fact, the latter vintage may well end up being the modern-day reference point for La Conseillante. Nevertheless, there’s a lot to be said for this 2000. An elegant, gentle style that is never a blockbuster, the 2000 La Conseillante has a deep ruby/plum/purple color and an unbelievably expressive nose of sweet kirsch liqueur intermixed with raspberries, incense, toast, and licorice. Full-bodied yet ethereal in the sense that it seems to combine power along with eloquence and delicacy, this is a beautifully pure wine that has just hit its plateau of full maturity, although ideally I think it would benefit strongly from another 4-5 years of bottle age and drink well for two to three decades. 1999 Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1999 Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan (93RP, 92ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep plum, currant, and mineral notes emerge from the concentrated, beautifully balanced, pure 1999 Haut Brion. It seems to be cut from the same mold as years such as 1979 and 1985. There is a hint of graphite in the abundant fruit. The wine is medium to full-bodied, nuanced, subtle, deep, and provocatively elegant. It is made in a style that only Haut Brion appears capable of achieving. The finish is extremely long, the tannins sweet, and the overall impression one of delicacy interwoven with power and ripeness." (04/2002)

Full-bodied, with layer upon layer of velvety tannins and chocolate, berry, vanilla and tea flavors. Lasts for minutes. I am blown away by this wine. This has been amazing since the moment I tasted it from barrel. Reminds me of the superb 1950. Best after 2015." (03/2008)

Of the 1996 Salon "Le Mesnil" Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 1996 Salon is yet another wine that is maturing splendidly. Once focused to the point of being painfully austere and angular, today the 1996 Salon has begun to soften and fill out. My latest bottles have been rich, generous and totally compelling in every way. (AG)" (11/2010)

2000 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2000 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac (97RP, 94ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This is one of the great wines of the vintage, and certainly a candidate for one of the finest wines made at this estate under the management of Christian Seeley and proprietor AXA. Showing incredibly well at two tastings of 2000s, the wine has a dense bluish/purple color and a beautiful nose of incense, melted asphalt, and creme de cassis as well as hints of new saddle leather and licorice. It is superbly concentrated and very pure, with excellent texture and opulence. The acidity seems low, the tannin high but well-integrated. This is a compelling 2000 that is just closing in on its window of maturity and should stay there for at least 20 or more years. Bravo! (RP)" (06/2010)

2003 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 98RP, 96WE, 92ST) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This 2003 was showing spectacularly well, and based on my recollection, I think I may have liked it even more than the 2002, which is the reverse of how I felt a decade ago. One of the biggest (14.6% alcohol) wines made by Screaming Eagle during this period, it boasts an opaque ruby/purple color as well as classic, pure, creme de cassis, cedarwood and hints of Asian soy sauce and forest floor notes. The multidimensional aromatics are followed by a full-bodied, silky-textured, opulent, rich, atypically big wine that is impeccably well-balanced. It is just starting to come into its own. Four to five more years in the cellar will prove magical, and this 2003 is one of the candidates for the wine of the vintage. It should last another 20+ years. " (06/2013)

1982 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1982 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac (100RP, 95ST, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the monumental wines of the last century is the 1982 Pichon Lalande. Since bottling, it has flirted with perfection, and was a sprinter out of the gate, which gave rise to questions about how quickly it would begin its decline. However, at age 27, it retains all its glossy, rich, flamboyant cassis fruit, chocolaty, berry jam-like notes, and plenty of earthy, foresty flavors. This is a full-bodied, extravagantly rich Pichon Lalande seemingly devoid of acidity and tannin, but the wine is incredibly well-balanced and pure. It is an amazing effort! (RP)" (06/2009)

1995 Moet & Chandon "Cuvée Dom Pérignon" Brut Rosé Champagne
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1995 Moet & Chandon "Cuvée Dom Pérignon" Brut Rosé Champagne (95RP, 94WE, 93ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Dom Perignon Rose often does not perform well until around ten years of age, and the 1995 is revealing a bold, medium pink salmon color followed by broad berry notes intermixed with a smoky/earthy character. Rich, full-bodied, backward, and tannic, it should hit its peak in 2-3 years, and last for a decade thereafter. Readers should remember that the 1971 Dom Perignon Rose is still drinking exquisitely. I recently had the 1969 and 1970 Dom Perignons (from magnum), and both were drinking brilliantly. It makes one realize just how long-lived these wines can be." (12/2005)

2008 Domaine Leflaive Chevalier Montrachet Grand Cru
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Domaine Leflaive Chevalier Montrachet Grand Cru (98W&S, 97BH, 97WE, 97WS, (92-95ST)). Wine & Spirits: "Commanding beauty is rarely as subtle as this Chevalier-Montrachet, the curves of its flavor bringing the kind of emotional reaction that few wines have the power to achieve. The details of the flavor roll around in the mouth for minutes, bringing memories of moments in time - a summer sun shower, a long chord at the end of a piano concerto, Margot Fonteyn in La Bayadère. Over the top? Perhaps, but those are the bits and pieces of my notes that bring the wine back more clearly for me than the rest. It's hard to imagine a more perfect outcome for chardonnay planted on the austere limestone soils of the Montrachet hill - though this was not a perfect vintage. Perhaps its weaknesses may show with time. If so, that would be a long time, as four days of air only improve on its freshness and layered complexity. There is no better example of the brilliant fa

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 98RP, 91WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This inky purple-colored wine has an extraordinary nose of sweet black cherry jam intermixed with licorice, spice box, and cedar. It has sensational richness, but the purity, elegance, and overall nuance of this wine are what set it apart and give it a very distinctive character all its own. This is a fabulous Cabernet Sauvignon and another terrific 2003 that can be drunk now or cellared for 15-20 or more years. (RP)" (12/2006)

2003 Ridge "Jimsomare" Santa Cruz Mountains Zinfandel
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Ridge "Jimsomare" Santa Cruz Mountains Zinfandel. The five-hundred-acre Jimsomare Ranch, located between 1300' and 2000' on Monte Bello Ridge, is one of Ridge's earliest grape sources. First cultivated in the late eighteen-hundreds by the Alsatian Pierre Klein, this prime viticultural land has been in San Francisco's Schwabacher family for seventy years; Ridge took over farming in 1996 under the terms of a thirty-year lease. The Cabernet from this property is largely included in the Monte Bello bottling now, and the Zin enjoys a similar pedigree from the small block of nineteenth-century vines which have produced many intense and distinctive wines.

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 96CG, 96WS, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2002 boasts an inky/purple color along with notes of graphite, violets, blackberries, creme de cassis and hints of charcoal and barbecue in addition to a full-bodied, multilayered mouthfeel that builds incrementally with great purity, staggering fruit concentration, and a long, velvety, 50+-second finish. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2008 Domaine Henri Boillot Volnay 1er Cru "Les Fremiets" (91ST, 90RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: " Good deep red. Black cherry, licorice and herbs on the nose, given punch by strong peppery spices. Sweet, supple and nicely concentrated if a bit less complex and high-pitched than the 2009 version. Lovely black cherry fruit displays a tangy sweetness. The very long finish features dusty, fine-grained tannins. The crop level here was just 18 hectoliters per hectare, according to Boillot. Bid on this magnum of 2009 Merry Edwards "Olivet Lane" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (1.5L) (95WE, 92CG, 92W&S, 91WS, 90ST). Wine Enthusiast: "*Cellar Selection* Some will critique this Pinot Noir as being too big and extracted, and lacking delicacy. But Olivet Lane Pinots are seldom delicate. You look for massive fruit and elaborate construction, and that’s what you find in this fabulously exotic wine. It’s a beauty, rich, dense and opulent, with complex cherry, rose petal, dark chocolate and new oak flavors, wrapped into firm, refined tannins. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Pascal Marchand Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Fonteny" ((91-93ST)). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "(20% vendange entier; 50% new oak): Bright, deep red. High-pitched aromas of pomegranate, white pepper, crushed stone and cardamom. Sharply defined, tightly wound and penetrating, with tart berry flavors accented by pepper and braced by a firm acid spine. Like an essence of crunchy crushed fruits. Leanish and not yet pliant, but this vibrant premier cru is nonetheless seamless and very long on the aftertaste. The pH of 3.4 is at the low end in the context of this set of wines." (01/2012)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2011 Domaine William Fèvre Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos (OWC - (93-96BH), (93-95RP), (92-95ST)) in original wood. Allen Meadows - Burghound: "(from 4 separate parcels totaling 4.11 ha, 3 of which are all at the top of the slope). This was quite closed and somewhat difficult to read but aggressive swirling grudgingly liberated ripe aromas of sea breeze, pear, lemon rind, oyster shell and mineral reduction plus an abundance of typical floral scents. The large-scaled flavors are overtly powerful and impressively concentrated as there is plenty of palate staining dry extract that also buffers the very firm acidity that supports and shapes the gorgeously precise finish. This explosively long effort possesses exquisite balance and the tightly wound flavors are going to need at least a decade to completely bloom. A knock out." (09/2012)
