2005 Switchback Ridge "Peterson Family Vineyard" Petite Sirah
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Switchback Ridge "Peterson Family Vineyard" Petite Sirah (95RP, 92WS). 95 points Robert Parker: "Not surprisingly, Switchback Ridge has made a bevy of amazing Petite Sirahs, and the 2005 Petite Sirah Peterson Family Vineyard possesses off the charts richness as well as a full-bodied style offering notes of espresso, ground pepper, blackberries, camphor, and incense. It is an exotic, full-bodied, enormously concentrated wine to drink over the next two decades." (12/07) 92 points Wine Spectator: "Superrich, powerful and almost syrupy, edging toward prune. Very deep and concentrated, with plush layers of plum, wild berry, cassis and a minerally, earthy aftertaste." (03/08)

1970 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1970 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted at the 'First Growth' lunch in London. Nice clear colour. The bouquet definitely has more vigour then previous bottles encountered, with sandalwood, cigar box and cedar to the fore. Not a complex nose, but nicely defined and unashamedly 'classic' in style. The palate is medium-bodied and well-balanced, good level of ripeness, elegant; harmonious but aloof. The second half is conservative but still fresh with just a touch of piquancy right on the finish. This Lafite is not going to go anywhere, but this shows that good bottles can still be pleasurable. Drink now-2015. Tasted October 2008. (Neil Martin's Wine Journal)" (05/2009)

Of the 1996 La Jota "15th Anniversary Release" Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon,96 points Robert Parker writes: "The 1996 Cabernet Sauvignon 15th Anniversary Release (1,050 cases produced) boasts an opaque purple color, as well as beautiful aromas of smoke, blackberries, Asian spices, charcoal, and subtle truffle-like scents. Huge, massive, and full-bodied, with phenomenal flavor extraction, and beautifully integrated tannin and acidity, this flamboyant, exceptionally well-endowed wine continues the succession of titanic wines made under this label. 2003 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2003 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98RP, 98WE, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the most backward yet promising wines of the vintage is the 2003 Harlan Estate. Its dense opaque plum/purple color is accompanied by a sumptuous bouquet of graphite, camphor, creme de cassis, smoky barbecue wood and a hint of forest floor. Similar flavors hit the mouth with full-bodied splendor, a multidimensional mouthfeel and texture, and the sensational finish lasts more than 45 seconds. Some tannins are still present, and this wine seems much younger than expected at ten years of age, so give it 4-5 more years of bottle age and consume it over the following 20-25 years. 1983 Quilceda Creek Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1983 Quilceda Creek Cabernet Sauvignon (90ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright medium ruby. Pure, aromatic nose of blackcurrant and licorice, with little obvious oak showing. Sweet and supple but a bit grapey, with flavors of black fruits, minerals and dark chocolate. Solidly structured. Certainly one of the best of the early vintages for Quilceda Creek. Finishes with even, dusty tannins and very good length." (09/2001)

2010 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (97RP, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Sporting a vibrant ruby, semi-opaque color, the 2010 James Berry Vineyard is the most tight, backward version of this cuvee that I can recall. A blend of 52% Grenache, 26% Mourvedre, and 22% Syrah, it has a decidedly savory bouquet of blackberry liqueur, kirsch, violets, bouquet garni, ground pepper, and graphite. Full-bodied and layered on the palate, with brilliant mid-palate concentration, superb freshness, and masses of tannin, this brilliant Rhone blend from Paso Robles will stand toe-to-toe with the best wines out there, but it is not for those seeking instant gratification and will require 4-5 years of bottle age. In 2010, the Grenache component was aged in a combination of concrete tank and oak puncheons, and this shows in both the aromatics and texture, with less obvious sweetness and more freshness. It will evolve gracefully for two decades

Bid on this bottle of 2010 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97WE, 96AG, 95RP, 94CG, 94ST, 94WS, 93JS). Wine Enthusiast: "This is, as always, a gorgeous wine, rich, balanced and delicious. It shows classic Napa Valley ripeness, with blackberry jam, plum, dark chocolate and sweet oak flavors. Plush and velvety doesn’t begin to do it justice. Despite its fabulous lushness, this is a wine to age. Depending on your taste, it will provide excellence from now until 2030. Cellar Selection." 2010 Bryant Family "DB4" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2010 Bryant Family "DB4" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 DB4 is insanely beautiful. Crushed rocks, plums, cinnamon and licorice jump from the glass from this striking, delineated wine. In 2010, the DB4 has a level of pure energy and vibrancy that is missing in the 2009, most likely because it also includes declassified lots from the Bettina. This is a great showing from Don Bryant and his team. In most cellars, the DB4 would be the top wine, but here it is the second label. (AG)" (12/2012)

2010 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2010 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 99JS, 97AG, 94ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Composed of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot, the stunning, full-bodied 2010 Dominus boasts an exceptional perfume of hoisin sauce, licorice, underbrush, forest floor, plums, black currants and jammy cherries intertwined with hints of cedar, baking spices and oak. Full-bodied and voluptuously textured, the 2010 is on a slightly faster evolutionary track than the 2009 (somewhat of an anomaly for these two vintages). This exquisite as well as prodigious 2010 can be drunk young, but it should age effortlessly for 20-25 years. Bravo! " (10/2013)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The potentially perfect 2013 Chardonnay Cix Estate comes from a vineyard planted with the Reuling clone of Chardonnay. It is already showing incredible minerality along with notes of white peach, pineapple, oily citrus, apple blossom and lemon oil. This multidimensional, full-bodied, sensational Chardonnay should drink well for 10+ years. " (12/2014)

Bid on this magnum of 2009 Merry Edwards "Georganne" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (1.5L) (95WE, 94CG, 91ST, 90WS). Wine Enthusiast: "This is a brand-new bottling from Merry Edwards. It’s her first from Westside Road, which is warmer than her haunting grounds around the southern part of the valley. It’s quite a promising debut. The wine is round, soft, charming and complex, with elaborate cherry, blackberry, licorice and cola flavors. It feels important and ageworthy. " (02/2012)

Bid on this bottle of 2010 Maybach Family "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 94WS, 93AG, 93ST, 93WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Materium is a beautiful example of a wine with extraordinary purity and delineation. It possesses copious quantities of charcoal, barbecue smoke, graphite, blackberries, blueberries and creme de cassis. Full-bodied power is clearly on display, but the wine has a purity and balance that are sensational to behold. This classic Cabernet is a superstar of the vintage. (RP)" (10/2013)

The Lorraine shows fabulous balance of aromatics, fruit and structure. Today the Lorraine offers the best potential for longevity. (AG)"

Bid on this magnum of 2008 Domaine de l'Arlot Nuits-St-Georges "Clos-de-Forets St. Georges" (1.5L) (92RP, 91BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Nuits St. Georges Clos des Forets St.-Georges is a gorgeous wine. Here the freshness of the vintage plays off the warmth of the site nicely. The 2008 is naturally less extroverted than the 2009 tasted alongside it, but the wine nevertheless impresses for its cool, mineral-laced fruit and fabulous length. This is a fairly subtle wine that isn’t quite ready to show all of its cards. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2028. (AG)" (05/2011)

Bid on this bottle of 2011 Cayuse "Flying Pig" Walla Walla Valley Proprietary Red (95RP, 94WE, 92ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A Merlot-dominated blend, the 2011 Flying Pig checks in as 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon that spent 12 months in 50% new French oak before being moved to large oak puncheons. Deep-ruby in color, it has beautiful cassis, plum, licorice, olive tapenade and lead pencil shaving-like aromas and flavors that give way to a full-bodied, layered and concentrated 2011 that has beautifully integrated oak, plenty of mid-palate and a terrific finish. 2010 Philip Togni "Estate" Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2010 Philip Togni "Estate" Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon impresses for its length and total class. Mocha, game, smoke, graphite and plums are all supported by veins of cool, insistent minerality. This isn’t a blockbuster Cabernet, rather it is a wine that impresses for its finesse and precision. Sweet red cherries, mint, pencil shavings and violets are some of the notes that are layered into the super-refined finish. As always, Togni’s Cabernet Sauvignon is distinguished for an extraordinary bouquet that recalls some of the great wines of the Medoc and the structure to age gracefully for years. Mocha, espresso, black plums and menthol wrap around the palate in this rich, totally seductive wine. With some time in bottle, the 2009 is beginning to show its creamy, silky texture, while the oak is also integrating nicely. Darker notes of tar, smoke and black currants flesh out on the enveloping finish. A dollop of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot adds complexity. (Antonio Galloni)"

Bid on this bottle of 2006 San Guido "Sassicaia" Bolgheri (97RP, 95JS, 95ST, 94WE, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Sassicaia may very well go down as one of the all-time great recent vintages for this Tuscan thoroughbred. The year started off very warm but by August evening temperatures had moderated, leaving the fruit with a stunning combination of ripeness, perfume, acidity and tannin. The wine is simply glorious, that’s all there is to it. Layers of dark fruit meld into smoke, leather, violets, menthol, earthiness and tar as this profound wine opens up in the glass. The creamy, silky finish lasts an eternity, as waves of fruit caress the tannins with breathtaking elegance. Everything is in the right place in this magical Sassicaia. This is one for the ages. Antonio Galloni: "The flagship 2011 Chardonnay Kistler Vineyard Cuvée Cathleen emerges from the rockiest portion of this site, which is dry-farmed and planted exclusively with the Wente clone on St. George rootstock. One of the many highlights in this range, the 2011 brings together the natural richness and depth of the Wente clone, but as seen through the lens of the Sonoma Coast, a brilliant contrast of aromas, flavors and textures. Apricot, peach, white flowers and Chamomile all meld together in a creamy, vivid Chardonnay that captivates all of the senses. This a great showing from Kistler."

Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2011 Sociando-Mallet, Haut-Médoc (OWC - 91RP, 90JS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Whether it is due to the vintage or to Gautreau, the ferocity of the tannins in many 2011 Medocs seems relatively tame, but there is no lacking concentration in this wine, which is clearly of classified growth quality. It boasts a dense purple color along with abundant notes of creme de cassis, crushed rocks and spring flowers. Medium-bodied and super-rich, it is a real revelation in a vintage such as 2011. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 Fattoria Galardi Terra di Lavoro (93RP, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I suppose after so many important vintages it is only natural that Mother Nature takes a break. Terra di Lavoro is usually a huge wine in its youth, but not so in 2009. This is one of the most open, approachable young Terra di Lavoros I have ever tasted. The wine shows good intensity in its dark fruit, with layers of ash, smoke, crushed flowers and minerals that develop in the glass. The 2009 is a pretty, accessible Terra di Lavoro that will make a great introduction for readers who are new to the wine and don't want to wait for some of the more important vintages to come around. Terra di Lavoro is 80% Aglianico and 20% Piedirosso. The 2009 spent 14 months in French oak barrels, 70% new...Anticipated maturity: 2017-2029. (AG)" (06/2011)

2009 Domaine William Fèvre Chablis Grand Cru "Vaudésir" (OWC)
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 Domaine William Fèvre Chablis Grand Cru "Vaudésir" (OWC - 94BH, 93RP, 91ST) in original wood. Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A mildly exotic and atypically reticent nose that is ripe yet airy showcases aromas of orange peel, peach and hints of roasted nut and iodine, before leading to rich, even opulent medium plus weight flavors that are delicious, round and strikingly persistent on the mouth coating and moderately austere finish. This has really come together since I last saw it and like the Bougros, this is quite a bit more refined than I'm used to seeing. An excellent example." (10/2011)

Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2002 Zind Humbrecht "Clos St Urbain Rangen de Thann" Pinot Gris (96WE, 93WS, 90ST). Wine Enthusiast: "This is a wonderful wine, which comes from the vineyard in the south of Alsace that the Humbrechts brought back from obscurity. It has both intensity and also great elegance. It has flavors of currants, layers of orange zest and some fresh acidity. But it also has spice which lies gently with the fruit flavors. The taste just goes on forever. " (04/2005)

2010 Biondi-Santi (Tenuta Greppo) Rosso di Montalcino
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Biondi-Santi (Tenuta Greppo) Rosso di Montalcino (91RP, 89AG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Rosso di Montalcino opens to a brilliant ruby color and tightly focused aromas of forest berry, white almond, cola, bramble and anisette. It exhibits a stunning sense of lightness and buoyancy. Of course, that characteristic note of acidic freshness and menthol makes for a resounding finish and is testament of the enormous quality of fruit in 2010. Drink: 2014-2022. " (02/2014)

Wine Enthusiast: " ** Cellar Selection ** The Vigne de l’Enfant Jésus is a 10-acre parcel in the heart of the Grèves vineyard that once belonged to Carmelite nuns. This vintage, while marked by acidity and soft fruit, does have a firm edge of dark tannins, filled out with plum and red cherry flavors. " (12/2010)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2000 A. Palacios 'Finca Dofi' Priorat in original wood. Jancis Robinson: "This is a wine not to be missed, a firecracker: explosive wine, powerful yet tamed with intense black fruit, well integrated alcohol, earthy and black-tea aromas. The tannins are well resolved but still firm and the texture compact and concentrated. Very complex flavours. Long and imposing back palate." (09/2014)

2000 Louis Latour Nuits-St-Georges
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2000 Louis Latour Nuits-St-Georges. Have you been looking for older Burgundy and seen how little is available? In particular the 2000 vintage, which is drinking deliciously well, has become particularly hard to find. As the producer says of this wine: "An intense, deeply coloured wine, showing pronounced, complex fruit of cherries, blackcurrents and violets, with truffles and spices. Subtle and integrated oak flavours on the palate with peppery notes, this wine is medium bodied, concentrated and admirably long on the finish."

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 Domaine Michel Lafarge Beaune 1er Cru "Grèves" (93BH, (89-92ST), (89-91RP)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This is aromatically more complex than the Aigrots with more iron and earth nuances to the panoply of red berry fruit aromas that carry liqueur-like scents. The rich, delicious and charming flavors display good power and focus on the balanced, concentrated and palate staining finish. This beautiful and decidedly serious effort is deceptively open at present yet it should repay a decade, or even more, of cellar time. (Drink starting 2019)" (04/2012)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2011 Hubert Lamy St.-Aubin 1er Cru "Clos de la Chateniere" Vieilles Vignes (92AG). Antonio Galloni: "The 2011 St. Aubin Clos de la Chatenière is endowed with tremendous depth and texture, much of which comes from the 50 year-old vines. Tangerine, honey and almonds are some of many notes that flesh out in the glass. Juicy, layered and deeply expressive, the 2011 is another wine with a lot to offer. The finish alone will leave readers longing for another taste. Simply put, the 2011 is drop-dead gorgeous." (09/2013)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2011 Clinet Pomerol (OWC - 95RP, (91-93WE), 93WS, 92JS, (89-92ST)) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Clinet has produced a blockbuster wine, even in the lighter, less consistent vintage of 2011. It reveals a dense purple color as well as an abundance of black cherry, black currant and blackberry fruit intermixed with licorice, incense and a touch of camphor. Full-bodied, opulent and fleshy with a substantial finish, this showy, dramatic 2011 should drink well for 15-20 years. Brilliant! (RP)" (04/2014)

2006 Il Poggione "Vigna Paganelli" Brunello di Montalcino Riserva (OWC)
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2006 Il Poggione "Vigna Paganelli" Brunello di Montalcino Riserva (OWC - 97RP, 96WE, 94ST, 92WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Vigna Paganelli is huge, powerful and totally implosive. The seductive allure of the 2007 is nowhere to be found. Instead, the 2006 is built on a serious spine of formidable tannin and dark red/black fruit. Hints of tar, licorice, rose petals and tobacco inform the powerful, virile finish. The 2006 is going to require considerable patience, but it is clearly a jewel of a wine, even at this early stage. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2046.(AG)" (04/2012)

Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2008 de Fieuzal, Pessac-Léognan (OWC - 92RP, 90JS, 90ST, 90WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A big time sleeper of the vintage and a terrific success for Fieuzal, the 2008 is a wine to buy given its realistic price. Dense plum/purple-colored with a soaring bouquet of blue and black fruits, unsmoked cigar tobacco, lead pencil shavings and spring flowers, it is a suave, savory, medium to full-bodied, remarkably silky, appealing wine to enjoy over the next 12-15 years. Bravo!" (05/2011)

2008 Buisson-Charles Meursault 1er Cru "Bouchères"
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2008 Buisson-Charles Meursault 1er Cru "Bouchères" (93BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "*Sweet spot Outstanding* As elegant as the Goutte d'Or is, the Bouchères goes it one better with its mélange of white peach, spiced pear and dried rose petal aromas that slide gracefully into precise yet quite densely textured flavors that brim with dry extract and superb length. This is an explosive wine that finishes bone dry and manages to combine impressive power with balance and focus. I actually prefer the delivery of this to the Goutte d'Or but at present at least, it doesn't quite have the same degree of complexity. A qualitative choice but both are worth considering.
