2007 Roger Sabon "Secret de Sabon" Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Roger Sabon "Secret de Sabon" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (100RP, 96ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Le Secret du Sabon is jaw-dropping good, and tops out on my scale. Crazily perfumed and complex, with layers of kirsch, crushed flowers, incense, beef blood and garrigue, it hits the palate with massive depth and richness, thrilling purity of fruit and a seamless texture that needs to be tasted to be believed. I'd happily drink bottles today, but given its mid-palate depth and no shortage of tannin that emerges on the finish, it will have no issues evolving through 2027. (JD)" (08/2014)

Bid on this bottle of 2008 Canon, St-Emilion (92JS, 92WE, 90RP). Wine Enthusiast: "Solid and chunky, with firm tannins over the ripe black berry fruit. With its plentiful acidity and powerful tannins, this is going to be a long-term wine." (04/2011)

2001 Torbreck "Run Rig" Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Torbreck "Run Rig" Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia (99RP, 98WS, 94JH, 93ST, 92W&S, 92WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The youngest Run Rig, the 2001, should equal the 1998 as it is almost a clone aromatically, texturally, and flavor-wise, just much younger. This opaque purple-colored beauty should flirt with perfection over the next 10-15 years. Torbreck’s flagship wine, the Run Rig, is made from 40- to 120-year-old Shiraz vines with some co-fermented Viognier (usually around 3%), tips the scales between 14-15% alcohol, and is aged 30 months in French oak. In contrast to the way they taste upon release, neither the 1998 or 1997 Run Rig revealed any oak." (06/2009)

Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Best from 2012 through 2015." (11/2011)

2011 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2011 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 95AG, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "More serious, and one of the wines of the vintage, the 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) has uncommon concentration and depth in the vintage, as well as a broad, structured profile that will allow it to age gracefully. Loaded with sweet creme de cassis, exotic spice, licorice and graphite, it’s a full-bodied, elegant and classically styled effort that has nothing out of place, fine, building tannin and a rock star finish. It will be approachable at an earlier stage than most vintages, yet still have two decades of longevity. (JD)" (06/2014)

1989 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 1989 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac (1.5L) (95RP, 95WS, 94ST). Wine Spectator: "What a nose here, from crushed mulberry to tanned leather to tar. Full-bodied, with big, velvety tannins that are soft and caressing, like cashmere. This is so tight and powerful still; it seems to be holding back. Be patient, because it will open with another five or six years of bottle age. Hard to wait. So why do it?--'89/'99 Bordeaux blind retrospective. (Web Only-2010)"

1989 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 1989 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (1.5L) (99RP, 96WS, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1989 has taken forever to shed its formidable tannins, but what a great vintage of Lynch Bages! I would rank it at the top of the pyramid although the 1990, 2000, and down the road, some of the more recent vintages such as 2005, 2009 and 2010 should come close to matching the 1989's extraordinary concentration and undeniable aging potential. Its dense purple color reveals a slight lightening at the edge and the stunning bouquet offers classic notes of creme de cassis, subtle smoke, oak and graphite. Powerful and rich with some tannins still to shed at age 22, it is still a young adolescent in terms of its evolution and will benefit from another 4-5 years of cellaring. It should prove to be a 50 year wine. (RP)" (08/2011)

1974 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1974 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I had this wine twice over a period of thirty days, rating it an astounding 99 and 98 points. A monumental California Cabernet Sauvignon, it appears to have approached its plateau of maturity but should easily last for 20-25 more years. There is no rust, amber, or brown to the saturated dark purple color. The spectacular, huge, Mouton-Rothschild-like nose of mint, cassis, lead pencil, and toast is remarkably youthful. Staggeringly concentrated, this full-bodied, super-rich wine possesses moderate tannin, fresh, lively acidity, and a blockbuster, rich, fleshy finish. This is a monumental effort! (RP)" (08/1994)

2012 Bryant Family Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2012 Bryant Family Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Bryant’s flagship wine, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon from the estate vineyard on Pritchard Hill offers a rare but magnificent forest floor/floral aromatic profile with lavishly rich, ripe notes of crème de cassis, blueberry and black raspberry liqueur. Fleshy, opulent, full-bodied and multidimensional, it conceals some significant tannins behind its wealth of extract and fruit. From a first-growth quality, hillside vineyard (13 acres), this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is gorgeously pure as well as impeccably well-balanced with a seamless integration of tannin, acidity, alcohol and wood. In fact, the new oak component, which is significant, is largely obliterated by the wine’s stunning fruit. This majestic Cabernet Sauvignon should age effortlessly for 25-30 years. (RP)" (12/2014)

2006 Sine Qua Non "In The Crosshairs " Sta. Rita Hills Grenache
Bid on this bottle of 2006 Sine Qua Non "In The Crosshairs " Sta. Rita Hills Grenache (100RP, 97WS, 96ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "2006 In the Cross Hairs 11 Confessions Vineyard: This is Sine Qua Non’s extended barrel-aged Grenache (meaning that in most vintages since 2003, Krankl has produced two cuvees of Grenache, one aged 18-22 months before bottling, and the other one with extended barrel-aging, in this case 32 months in wood). A blend of 84% Grenache, 12% Syrah and 4% Viognier, all from the 11 Confessions Vineyard in the Santa Rita Hills, this is one of the most extraordinarily elegant Grenaches Krankl has produced. It is an intellectual wine, yet it doesn’t wimp out by any means. It is full-bodied and voluptuously textured, with notes of spice box, licorice and Provencal herbs, copious quantities of black currant and kirsch liqueur, stunning richness and a finish lasting close to a minute. This amazing effort confirms Krankl’s meticulous and nearly obsessively detailed

2006 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac (98RP, 97WE, 96ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A sensational effort, the 2006 Mouton Rothschild exhibits an opaque purple color as well as a classic Mouton perfume of creme de cassis, flowers, blueberries, and only a hint of oak. Dalhuin told me that in whisky barrel-tasting vintages such as 1989 and 1990, Mouton was aged in heavily-toasted barrels, and they have backed off to a much lighter toast for the barrels’ interior. I think this has worked fabulously well with the cassis quality fruit they get from their Cabernet Sauvignon. The full-bodied, powerful 2006 possesses extraordinary purity and clarity. A large-scaled, massive Mouton Rothschild that ranks as one of the top four or five wines of the vintage, it may turn out to be the longest-lived wine of the vintage by a landslide. This utterly profound Mouton will need to sleep for 15+ years before it will reveal any secondary nuances, but it is a packed and sta

1984 Opus One Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1984 Opus One Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec, this is an age-worthy gem for any serious collector's cellar. Launched in 1984 with the dual release of the 1979 and 1980 vintages, this joint venture between Robert Mondavi and the Baron Philippe de Rothschild of Bordeaux's Mouton Rothschild, has been the standard-bearer in American ultra-premium wine for more than 20 years. The wine comes from three meticulously managed vineyards in Napa Valley where the grapes are hand-sorted and moved gently, by gravity, from the destemmer to stainless steel fermenting tanks. And since there is only one Opus One, each fermentation tank is dedicated to a single lot, allowing the wine to develop at its own pace, drawing color and extracting beautiful flavor.

It is an effortless, graceful wine that defines the essence of what makes Grand Cru Burgundy Grand Cru. It literally hovers on the palate with impeccable class and personality. Superbly-ripe but abundant tannins undergird a mouthful of ripe fruit, with strong mineral character grabbing the baton in the final lap. 2004 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A staggeringly great wine from this iconic property in Rutherford, Scarecrow’s 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) boasts a dense ruby/purple color, a deep, rich, full-bodied style with perfect balance/equilibrium, stunning purity, lots of creme de cassis, minerality and floral notes, a persistent finish, and a staggering personality that is a sign of singularity as well as greatness. The finesse of the tannins is fabulous. Drink it over the next 15-20 years. (RP)" (04/2014)

2009 Delas Freres "Les Bessards" Hermitage
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Delas Freres "Les Bessards" Hermitage (100RP, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Every bit as profound as the 2010, yet in a more voluptuous, lower acid, hedonistic style, the inky colored 2009 Hermitage les Bessards (aged all in new French oak) offers incredible intensity and depth in its black raspberry, toasted bread, graphite and spice-like aromas and flavors. Full-bodied, massively endowed and with a wealth of raw material, it has high, yet sweet tannin and a finish that just won't quit. Give it 4-5 years and drink it over the following 3-4 decades. Unfortunately, this is made in tiny quantities, but count yourself lucky if you were able to grab a few bottles of either the '09 or '10. (JD)" (09/2015)

2009 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC)
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 98VN, 97WS, 96RP, 96ST) in original wood. Vinous: "Once again, the 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon pays homage to the 2007, but the aromas and flavors seems to be just a touch brighter, which might just be a function of the wine's age. A wine of remarkable precision, the 2009 is totally dialed in from start to finish. Layers of intensely sweet, perfumed fruit are woven together with remarkable elegance and sheer polish. Today, the 2009 isn't quite as radiant as it has been in the past, and seems headed for a stubborn phase. It is still striking, though. Even if a bit less exotic than the 2007, the two wines share a silkiness and overall sense of textural finesse. A translucent, weightless finish rounds things out in style. The 2009 is 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc and 5% Merlot. (AG)" (12/2012)

2008 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac (98RP, 97WE, 95JS, 93ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A candidate for the wine of the vintage, the 2008 should have been purchased before it began to soar in value because of the significance of the number 8 in the Chinese culture (denoting good luck). Representing 40% of the production, this blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc offers aromas of high quality unsmoked cigar tobacco, lead pencil shavings, creme de cassis, earth, cedar and asphalt. Full, rich and stunningly concentrated... The 2008 should be relatively drinkable in 6-10 years as it is already showing remarkable complexity and breed, and will last for 30-35 years...at the minimum. (RP)" (05/2011)

2005 Seven Stones Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2005 Seven Stones Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 94WS). Robert Parker: "This vineyard, high above the Meadowood Resort, has produced a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon that was aged in 100% new French oak for 22 months. The label says 14.9% natural alcohol. Having once visited the proprietors, the Wornicks, it is well worth the effort to get an invitation to their property, given the extraordinary sculpture that one confronts on the high steep hillside road leading to the residence. This wine blew me away in the tasting, and again, it is another of the absolutely compelling, great, great wines of this vintage."

2012 Rhys "Swan Terrace" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Rhys "Swan Terrace" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (95RP, 94ST, 93AG, 93BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From a steep slope located between 1,210 and 1,300 feet above sea level, the 2012 Pinot Noir Swan Terrace shows lots of whole-cluster influence in its ground pepper, black cherry, wood smoke and forest floor/autumn leaf-driven personality. Hitting the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, bright acidity and plenty of concentration and tannic grip, this is a serious, structured and Burgundian Pinot Noir from this team that has the depth and class to evolve nicely for another decade or more. 2010 Merry Edwards "Olivet Lane" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Merry Edwards "Olivet Lane" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (95WE, 90WS). Wine Enthusiast: "The pedigree of this rich Pinot Noir is evident right away in the mouthfeel, offering a silky and satiny texture, brightened with citrusy acidity. The flavors immediately kick in with a solid wall of red cherries, licorice, persimmons, pomegranates and cola. An exciting, complex wine to drink now, and it should gather momentum over six years, maybe even longer." (03/2013)

2003 Saxum "Broken Stones" Paso Robles Syrah
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2003 Saxum "Broken Stones" Paso Robles Syrah (95RP, 93ST, 91WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2003 Broken Stones, a 350-case blend of 80% Syrah, 12% Grenache, and 8% Mourvedre, offers a fabulously sweet nose of black raspberries, blackberries, licorice, pepper, and subtle herbs, followed by pure, full-bodied flavors that coat the palate, but are neither heavy nor cloying. The oak component is virtually undetectable as it is concealed by the wine’s wealth of fruit and extraordinary concentration. It should drink well for 10-12 years. The 2003s were bottled about seven weeks before my visit, but I could hardly complain about the fact they weren’t “showing.” I highly recommend that wine enthusiasts who love Rhone Ranger wines pay a visit to the James Berry Vineyard, one of the true grand cru sites in the region. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Williams Selyem "Eastside Road Neighbors" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (92CG, 92ST, 90WE, 90WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "(made from fruit grown in the Lone Oak, Calegari, Black Rose and Foss vineyards): Bright ruby-red. Explosively perfumed aromas of candied red berries, rose and woodsmoke, with a spicy overtone. Juicy, penetrating red and dark berry flavors provide excellent palate coverage and show a seamless character. Open-knit and delicious now, finishing with excellent thrust and clarity." (04/2012)

2009 Cayuse "En Cerise" Walla Walla Valley Syrah
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Cayuse "En Cerise" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (96RP, 95WS, 94ST, 94WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Fermented in concrete, then aged in demi-muids, only around 20% of which were new, Baron’s 2009 Syrah En Cerise Vineyard incorporates a mouthwateringly savory alliance of smoke meat and soy sauce to its luxuriantly rich, silken-textured matrix of confitured cassis and cherry, further laced with salted caramel, while striking perfume of mint, gentian, cardamom, and rose wood hovers above the glass and inner-mouth. The finish here lingers with an uncanny combination of seductive caress, vibrancy, richness, and buoyancy, its many flavor strands -- floral, fruited, animal, spice and mineral -- dynamically intertwining. I would surely give at least some bottles of it 12-15 years’ opportunity to show their true potential. Cautious as I attempt to be in drawing such parallels, if Baron’s latest Cailloux bottling resembles Verset Cornas, then this En Cerise put

2010 Ridge Vineyards "Geyserville" Sonoma Zinfandel
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2010 Ridge Vineyards "Geyserville" Sonoma Zinfandel (90ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Glass-staining ruby. Ripe cherry and blackberry aromas are complicated by suggestions of mace, star anise and smoky herbs. Sweet dark fruit flavors pick up a refreshingly bitter quality with air, along with a note of candied violet. Spicy and broad on the finish, which clings with impressive sweetness and persistence. This wine drinks well now, especially with a bit of aeration. (JR)" (05/2012)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Petite Syrah reveals a black/purple color as well as notes of graphite, smoke, blackberries, blueberries, creme de cassis, a liqueur of mineral-like intensity, and huge tannin and concentration. The 2004 Petite Syrah Hayne Vineyard possesses the purest fruit, density, and intensity. This is a prodigious wine that should be purchased only by those with cold cellars and good DNA for longevity as it will all age for 40-50 years" (12/2005)

2010 Aubert "UV-SL Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Aubert "UV-SL Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (94RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Chardonnay UV-SL Vineyard boasts remarkable textural depth and finesse. Rich, round and seamless, the UV-SL is all about body and endless layers of flavor. An element of salinity gives a finish laced with white flowers and citrus of considerable freshness. This is a stunning set of wines from Mark Aubert. Both the Chardonnays and Pinots developed considerably over the time I followed them. Readers should open the wines at least several hours in advance. In general, the 2010s are brighter and more focused than the 2009s, which are more generous. Alcohol levels are also lower across the board in 2010. (AG)" (02/2012)

Bid on this bottle of 1996 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Proprietary Red (95RP, 93WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Aged 22 months in 100% new French oak, this blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon and 17% Merlot reveals a powerful core of red and black fruits, dusty, loamy soil, lavender and a hint of toast. I would not describe it as elegant, but rather, it is a big, backstrapping, Cabernet Sauvignon-based wine that should continue to drink well for 15 or more years. (RP)" (11/2013)

Aged 22 months in mostly used oak (various sizes), it offers awesome purity and freshness in its black raspberry, cassis, ground herbs, white pepper and licorice-driven bouquet.
