2012 Scarecrow "M. Étain" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC)
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Scarecrow "M. Étain" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 94RP, 92VN) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon M. Etain is in essence a second wine, but it sure doesn’t taste like one. Its deep purple color is followed by pure black raspberry and blackcurrant fruit, dusty, loamy soil notes, extraordinary depth of fruit, ripeness and good acidity. This opulent, round beauty is ideal for drinking over the next decade or more. One of the classic wines of Napa Valley, Scarecrow’s Cabernet Sauvignons are made by well-known winemaking consultant Celia Welch. This historic vineyard in Rutherford, which owns some of the oldest vines in all of Napa, continues to turn out some of Napa’s most profound Cabernet Sauvignons. (RP)" (10/2014)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An absolutely fabulous wine, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard has an inky bluish/purple color, extraordinary nose of graphite, blueberry and blackberry liqueur, forest floor and spring flora. The wine hits the palate with a full-bodied richness, stunning purity and an absolutely magnificent texture and length. It would be difficult to want more in a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon than this. Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2011 Justin "Isosceles Reserve" Paso Robles Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 90RP) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Coming from a cool vintage, the 2011 Isosceles Reserve is still a big, rich Paso Cabernet that reveals ample blackcurrants, black raspberry, leather and savory spice on the nose. Nicely concentrated on the palate, yet relatively focused and straight, with moderate breadth and a touch of chewy tannin, give it year or two and plan on drinking bottles by 2025. (JD)" (08/2015)

James Suckling: "This is amazing traditional Rioja with a complexity and beauty of ripe fruit and long aging. Unique. Full body, ultra-fine tannins, tobacco, vanilla, plums and prunes. It lasts for minutes on the palate. Three years aged in oak and three years in bottle. 80% tempranillo with the rest of the classic varieties. All from high altitude vineyards." (07/2015)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2004 Antinori "Pian delle Vigne-Vignaferrovia" Brunello di Montalcino Riserva (OWC - 93WE, 92VN) in original wood. Wine Enthusiast: "This excellent vineyard designate Brunello Riserva opens with a very elegant nose that includes elements of spice, toast, black fruit and dusty mineral. In fact, that pretty mineral note is what defines the wine and gives it harmony and personality. The wine is full and dense in the mouth with succulent tannins that need to soften with a little more cellar aging." (08/2010)

2012 Alphonse Mellot "Les Romains" Sancerre
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Alphonse Mellot "Les Romains" Sancerre (94RP, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Sourced from vines plated in 1951 on partly limestone, partly silex soils the dense, firmly structured 2012 Sancerre Les Romains has an intense yellow color and a rich nose with an amalgam of ripe (and slightly oxidized) fruit, crushed rocks, fresh citrus flavors, yeast, (new) oak, nut oil, hazelnut, yogurt and chalk. On the palate all these impressions become tactile and tastable in a rich, creamy textured Sancerre with a demanding minerality and a finish that reminds of vins jaunes of the Jura region. Although quite inaccessible, this is a profund, powerful and extremely salty Sauvignon of great expression and complexity. It is by far not fully developed but we should be curious to taste it again in 3-4 years. 94+ (SR)" (10/2014)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2000 Bosquet des Papes "Cuvee Chante le Merle Vieilles Vignes" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (91RP, 91ST, 91WS). Wine Spectator: "Distinctive--excellent Châteauneuf character. Traditional and aromatic, a full-bodied wine that bursts with leather, smoke, mineral, game and wild mushrooms. Round, smooth and ripe, it could use some time in the cellar to reach its peak, but it's tempting now, thanks to the graceful tannins and fresh vibrant finish. (PM)" (11/2002)

2007 Château des Tours Vacqueyras Réserve
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Château des Tours Vacqueyras Réserve (92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Perhaps the finest Vacqueyras Des Tours has produced since the 1989 and 1990 is the 2007. This powerhouse boasts stunning levels of kirsch, garrigue, pepper and framboise, a big, full-bodied mouthfeel and super freshness, purity and overall equilibrium. It will benefit from another several years of bottle age ... At his home estate, Emmanuel Reynaud (who has been producing the Rayas wines since 1997) has nearly 100 acres of vineyards from which he makes a wonderful array of value-priced reds and whites. 2010 Conterno Fantino "Vigna del Gris" Barolo
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Conterno Fantino "Vigna del Gris" Barolo (94VN, 93ST, 93WS, 92JS). Vinous: "The 2010 Barolo Vigna del Gris is beautiful, layered and expressive. Sweet tobacco, mint, licorice, crushed flowers and plums meld together in a supple, gracious wine for the year. Sweet rose petals and mint add an attractive upper register of trademark aromatics and perfume as the wine opens up in the glass. The 2010 remains dense and compact, but it is impossible to miss that the tannins here are more refined than has typically been the case with the Gris in the past, which is probably the result of vines getting older. The 2010 needs time to unwind, but it is quite pretty and full of potential. Conterno-Fantino gave the 2010 a year in 100% new French oak, followed by a year in a combination of equal parts barrique and cask. " (01/2014)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Delas Freres "Domaine des Tourettes" Hermitage (OWC - 96RP, 92ST, 92WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Hermitage Domaine des Tourettes is an incredible wine that's only eclipsed by the 2009 Domaine des Tourettes. The 2010 is inky colored, concentrated and full-bodied, yet also elegant and seamless, with terrific complexity in its blackcurrant, saddle leather, cured meats, toasted bread and graphite aromas and flavors. Given its overall purity and freshness, as well as sweet tannin, it's actually a beautiful drink even today, yet it should be at its finest from 2020-2040. (JD)" (09/2015)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A big time sleeper of the vintage and a terrific success for Fieuzal, the 2008 is a wine to buy given its realistic price. Dense plum/purple-colored with a soaring bouquet of blue and black fruits, unsmoked cigar tobacco, lead pencil shavings and spring flowers, it is a suave, savory, medium to full-bodied, remarkably silky, appealing wine to enjoy over the next 12-15 years. 2009 Dal Forno Romano Valpolicella Superiore
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 Dal Forno Romano Valpolicella Superiore (92VN, 91WS). Vinous: "Black cherries, plums, graphite, tapenade, melted road tar and game hits the palate as Romano Dal Forno's 2009 Valpolicella Superiore shows off its personality. The 2009 brings together the signature richness of a wine made from 100% dried fruit with distinctly wild, almost Syrah-like overtones. Inky and intense, with considerable tannic backbone, the 2009 is really more of a junior Amarone than a Valpolicella. Readers will want to give this super-expressive wine another few years in the cellar, but there is a lot to like, even today. (AG)" (07/2015)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 Domaine Fourrier Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Champeaux" Vieille Vigne ((90-93BH), 93RP, (91-93ST)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Champeaux is marvelously complex and complete. Everything is in the right place, from the expressive bouquet to the sweet, delineated fruit. Crushed rocks and sweet spices add further nuance before the wine starts closing in on itself. This is a muscular, intense Burgundy that needs time in the bottle to soften. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2029. (AG)" (05/2011)

2014 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon, T6" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon, T6" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon T6 was one of my super-favorites of the 2014s. Slightly higher in alcohol at 14.7%, compared to the RBS at 14.4% and the GIII at 14.3%, it is a kick-ass Cabernet Sauvignon, with a sexy display of black fruits, licorice, camphor, graphite and background oak. This is from clone 6 of the To Kalon Vineyard aged in 95% new Darnajou and 5% Taransaud barrels. So, as readers can see, the differences are minor, indeed. However, they are slightly different wines. This is a bold, opulent wine and one of my favorites of the 2014s. Drink it over the next 20 years. (RP)" (10/2016)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1997 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 97WS, 95WE, 94ST, 93W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An inky/plum/purple color is accompanied by a stunning bouquet of violets, charcoal, creme de cassis and a hint of toast. Prodigious when it hits the palate with a full-bodied expansiveness, there is not a hard edge to be found in the 1997, only velvety tannins, compelling depth and fruit intensity, and stunning purity. It is a perfect expression of Napa viticulture and wine that should continue to age effortlessly for two decades or more. (RP)" (11/2013)

2008 Sine Qua Non "B 20" Syrah
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Sine Qua Non "B 20" Syrah (95RP, 94JS, 94ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Syrah B-20 is a cool, inward wine graced with layers of beautifully delineated, chiseled fruit. This is a distinctly mineral, precise style relative to the more outgoing 2009, but both are striking. Floral notes add lift as the finish turns explosive with a burst of dark fruit, tar, licorice and crushed rocks. This is one of the more understated wines readers are likely to come across from Sine Qua Non. It is gorgeous when given the time to open up. The B-20 is predominantly Syrah, with 6% Grenache and 2% Viognier. About half of the Grenache was fermented with whole clusters and the wine was aged in French oak (60% new) for 26 months. 2010 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (99RP, 94VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Flirting with perfection, the 2010 Chardonnay Marcassin Estate exhibits a serious liqueur of stones along with a greenish hue to its straw color, fabulous density, richness and full-bodied power, but zesty acids and notes of quince, white currants, subtle peach, brioche and apricot marmalade are all present in this multi-dimensional, complex, stunning Chardonnay that will be released in 2014. It should easily last for 10-15 years. (RP)" (08/2015)

2000 Domaine Leroy Pommard "Les Vignots"
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2000 Domaine Leroy Pommard "Les Vignots". Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A highly aromatic and beautifully complex nose features discreet but not invisible oak influence along with lovely floral hints to the fresh, ripe and mature dark berry fruit and earth suffused aromas. There is good richness and detail to the lightly mineral-driven middle weight flavors that possess a fine sense of energy but not the depth or sophistication displayed on the nose, all wrapped in a solidly long finish. This is one of those wines that has a truly distinguished nose but an average plus amount of depth and length so some may like this more than I do. To be sure, this is a very pretty wine but it's not special in the context of what Leroy typically does with it. In terms of drinkability for my taste this has reached its peak though it should be capable of holding at this plateau for another decade." (04/2014)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2012 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 99RP, 98JS, (95-97ST), 97VN, 93WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Harlan Estate is reminiscent of their 2002. Probably a candidate for perfection with another 4-5 years of bottle age, the wine is inky plum/purple to the rim and offers a gorgeous nose of scorched earth, blackberry and cassis, forest floor, and a floral, lavender-like component followed by deep, opulent, majestic flavors that caress the palate with high but sweet tannin. This is relatively evolved, and supple and voluptuous for a young Harlan estate -- hence the comparison with their compelling 2002. This wine can be drunk in several years and is likely another candidate for 30-50 years of cellaring. 99+ points. (RP)" (10/2015)

Wine Enthusiast: " * Cellar Selection * The Vigne de l’Enfant Jésus is a 10-acre parcel in the heart of the Grèves vineyard that once belonged to Carmelite nuns. This really fills out on the mid-palate and finish. The radiance of the fruit makes this one of the more approachable 2009 grand crus for near and mid-term drinking, although it may age quite a bit longer based on the sheer density of its fruit. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The wild man of Napa Valley, Jayson Woodbridge, has turned out one of the superstars of 2004, with the 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Kayli Morgan. His wines always tend to be gorgeous young, offering up an impression that they’re not going to last. But his first vintage, 2000, seems to get better and better, even though it was spectacular when released. The 2004, which was harvested in September, shows an almost Pomerol-like sweet mocha, kirsch, black currant and deeply fruited mouthfeel. It is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, but the clay soils of his vineyard seem to give a sweetness of tannin and a voluptuous character to the texture ... (RP)" (04/2014)

2006 Domaine J-F Mugnier Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Fuées"
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2006 Domaine J-F Mugnier Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Fuées" (92RP, 92ST, 91BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Peat, black tea, game, mint, crushed stone, and dark berry aromas rise in at once sinister and enticing profusion from the glass of Mugnier's 2006 Chambolle-Musigny Les Fuees. Corresponding low-toned complexity characterizes the opulently-textured and caressing, bittersweet palate. Stony minerality proves the most tenaciously aspect of this dark beauty's long, soothing, yet almost brooding finish. It sent chills back up my spine just transcribing my tasting note and recreating this wine's uncanny, hard-to-describe character. I suspect it will be worth following for ten or a dozen years, probably longer. The track record at this address is more than merely convincing. (DS)" (12/2009)

Of the 2012 Sine Qua Non "Rattrapante - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Santa Rita Hills Grenache,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "A perfect wine any way you look at it, the 2012 Grenache Rattrapante comes all from the Eleven Confessions Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills and spent 33 months in 27% new French oak. My notes start - and end - with “Wow.” Giving up tons of black raspberries, peppery herbs, licorice, dried flowers and cured meats, it’s a massively concentrated, rich and layered Grenache that somehow manages to stay graceful, lively and fresh on the palate ... 2011 Alain Hudelot-Noellat Clos Vougeot Grand Cru
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2011 Alain Hudelot-Noellat Clos Vougeot Grand Cru (93ST, 92BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good medium red. Reduced, slightly decadent aromas of strawberry, spices, underbrush and game: this could only be Burgundy! Seriously silky, pliant and glyceral, with a lightly liqueur-like quality to the plush flavors of red fruits and spices. Quite sweet on entry, then more restrained on the back half. Finishes concentrated, spicy and long, with broad, suave tannins and terrific spicy persistence. A major mouthful in the context of the year. (ST)" (03/2014)

2008 Pieve Santa Restituta (Gaja) "Rennina" Brunello di Montalcino (OWC)
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2008 Pieve Santa Restituta (Gaja) "Rennina" Brunello di Montalcino (OWC - 93RP, 91ST, 91WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "In a vintage where so many wines already appear tired, Gaja’s 2008 Brunello di Montalcino Rennina jumps from the glass with vibrant aromas and flavors. Violets, black cherries, tobacco, licorice and menthol all appear later, adding further shades of complexity. The tannins are firm yet beautifully integrated. Pieve Santa Restituta fans know than Rennina can be deceptively medium in body, yet it has a great track record for aging. Today, the wine is simply gorgeous. This is one of the few 2008s I would buy to cellar. There is little doubt the Rennina is one of the standouts in 2008. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2026. (AG)" (06/2013)

It should hit its stride by 2015 and drink well for 20 years thereafter. (JM)" (06/2010)

This full-bodied classic boasts a dense purple color as well as a superb nose of graphite, creme de cassis, forest floor, licorice and a hint of truffles, low acidity, and extravagant richness. Most of the tannins have been resolved in this superstar of the vintage. It should continue to drink well for 10-15+ years. 95+ (RP)" (08/2014)

Wine Enthusiast: "This well-aged wine from a top Champagne vintage is just now ready to drink after 12 years. It has a touch of toast, but it’s the rich, complex texture and fine structure that set it apart. It’s not a dry wine, it feels soft. It is so well integrated, elegant with hints of apples, a layer of minerality and still-fresh final acidity." (12/2014)

Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2008 Saint-Pierre, St-Julien (OWC - 93RP, 93WE, 91ST) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As I predicted from barrel, this stunning effort is a wine to buy by the case. Its opaque ruby/purple color is followed by aromas of graphite, barbecue smoke, blackberries and black currants. The full-bodied, textured 2008 Saint-Pierre reveals a skyscraper-like mouthfeel along with tremendous viscosity and unctuosity. One of the richest and potentially longest-lived 2008s, it is a fabulous sleeper of the vintage. Drink it over the next 20+ years. (RP)" (05/2011)

Wine Enthusiast: " *Top 100 Cellar Selections of 2013* Here’s an unforgettable wine that absolutely makes the case for 2007 being one of the best vintages of late in Montalcino. The wine is broad and polished with masculine tones of dark fruit, leather and tobacco. These aromas evolve so quickly and with such pulsing intensity, the wine comes alive suddenly. There are dusty mineral shadings at the back with tightly textured tannins. Hold 10 more years." (05/2013)

2010 Val di Suga (Angelini) "Spuntali" Brunello di Montalcino
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Val di Suga (Angelini) "Spuntali" Brunello di Montalcino (95RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Showing much riper fruit characteristics, the 2010 Brunello di Montalcino Vigna Spuntali offers dark fruit and blackberry backed by spice, leather and tobacco. This is a profound and powerful wine that is released as a Riserva with one extra year of bottle aging after the five years you get with a Brunello annata. The results are sophisticated and deep with many layers of fruit, spice and balsam herb. The wine feels young in the mouth thanks to the tight tannins and bright acidity. These qualities should help it age throughout the years. I like this expression because it delivers loads of fruit and power at the same time. (ML)" (03/2016)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2003 Bois de Boursan "Cuvée Felix" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (95RP, 94WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2003 Domaine Bois de Boursan Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee des Felix is superb. Showing a mature, yet still lively and fruit-driven profile of sweet currants, saddle leather, truffle, and garrigue, it stays beautifully rich and seductive on the palate, with layers of sweet fruit, no hard edges and a great finish. Certainly a ripe vintage, yet everything is perfectly proportioned, the tannins are sweet and it is a joy to drink. A blend of 65% Grenache and the balance a mix of Mourvedre and Syrah, from 90-year-old vines, it held up beautifully with air and is a raging success in the vintage. It can be consumed now or over the coming 5-8 years or more. (JD)" (06/2013)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine Bois de Boursan "Cuvée des Félix" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (95WS, 94RP, 93ST). The long finish has a hot stone note buried in it. Best from 2012 through 2029. (JM)" (03/2010)

2012 Domaine Billaud-Simon Chablis "Preuses" Grand Cru
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Domaine Billaud-Simon Chablis "Preuses" Grand Cru (93VN). Vinous: "A totally elusive wine, the 2012 Chablis Les Preuses is playing its cards close to the vest. A brilliant, energetic Chablis, the Preuses shows considerable textural depth, but is otherwise not terribly expressive. Hints of lime, grapefruit and crushed rocks emerge over time, but only with great reluctance. A hint of spice suggests the Preuses saw oak, but it was in fact done entirely in steel. Patience is going to be key here. 94+ Points (AG)" (08/2014)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Domaine Billaud-Simon "Vaudesir" Chablis Grand Cru (93ST, 92RP, 92VN). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "(Bernard Billaud began aging this wine in 100% used futs as of vintage 2011): Pale yellow. Musky aromas of mirabelle, toasted brioche, lemon, rose petal and spices. Densely packed and youthfully closed, even austere, but hints at lovely high notes of jasmine and fleur de sel. Very unforthcoming on the spicy back end and in need of seven or eight years in the cellar. But long on potential. (I tasted a bottle of the 2007 Vaudesir, done entire in cuve, and was seduced by its saline, sake-like aromas and silky texture. This bottle, which I rated 92 points, is at the captivating stage between young and mature and is perfect for drinking now.) 93+ Points" (07/2014)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Kosta Browne "Giusti Ranch" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (95RP, 94VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From the Russian River Valley and the newest single vineyard from this team (the first vintage was 2012), the 2013 Pinot Noir Giusti Vineyard is another big, rich, full-flavored Pinot Noir that gives up slightly lifted notes of dark fruits, graphite and peppery spice. Almost completely destemmed and aged 16 months in 40% new French oak, it’s a sensational Pinot Noir with terrific purity in its concentrated, layered and textured personality.
