Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Château de la Maltroye Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "Grandes Ruchottes" (92BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Here the wood is much more subtle with elegant and ripe green fruit, dried rose petal and apricot aromas that complement to perfection the wonderfully pure and transparent flavors that explode on the powerful and long finish that is almost painfully intense. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Palengat Proprietary Red Wine is made up of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Cabernet Franc, with the balance Merlot and Petit Verdot. The fruit was sourced entirely from the Palengat Vineyard. Pain grille, pencil lead, Asian spices, incense, violets, dried herbs, black currant, and blackberry aromas compose the bouquet of this impeccably balanced offering. It opens in the glass to reveal plush, succulent flavors, superb concentration, plenty of ripe tannin, and at least 4-5 years of aging potential. It will deliver optimum drinking from 2015 to 2028. 2015 Kosta Browne Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2015 Kosta Browne Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. Jeb Dunnuck writes: "Based out of Sebastopol, Kosta Browne’s Dan Kosta, Michael Browne and Chris Costello continue to fashion a bevy of brilliant Pinot Noirs from a number of sites spread throughout California. The big news at this estate, however, was the purchasing of a controlling interest by J.W. Childs Associates out of Boston. Concerning the impact of this change to the wine, the winemaking remains untouched and nothing I heard during my visit gave me pause concerning the quality of this estate going forward. In addition, Browne and John Childs (the CEO of J.W. Childs Associates) have previously worked together in the past with their Cirq label, so I think Kosta Browne lovers can rest easy. Going forward, this team is increasingly looking to own and farm their vineyards, so expect quality to hold steady or even increase."

Inky purple to the rim with magnificent aromatics of flowers, black and blue fruits, and touches of background barrique and earth, this wine is full-bodied and stunningly concentrated, with well-delineated flavors and amazing length. 2009 Marcassin "Blue Slide Ridge" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Marcassin "Blue Slide Ridge" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (98RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The prodigious 2009 Pinot Noir Blue Slide Ridge reminds me of one of the great vintages of the DRC Vosne-Romanee. Notes of forest floor, jammy raspberries, blueberries, boysenberries and spring flowers are followed by a full-bodied, textured, layered mouthfeel, and great intensity, precision and freshness. This stunning 2009 is already showing considerable complexity, and should age effortlessly for 10-15 years. The visionary husband and wife team of John Wetlaufer and Helen Turley have created a largely unprecedented legacy of extraordinary quality that is unsurpassed by anyone else in Northern California. 1998 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1998 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (97VN, (88-90RP), 90ST). Vinous: "Ironically, the 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain from a much weaker vintage than 1997 on paper, is a much more interesting wine. Huge and explosive on the palate, the 1998 boasts serious depth and concentration. Iron, smoke, anise and dark red/blackish fruit all swirl around in the glass in a striking, nuanced Cabernet that is among the wines of the year in Napa Valley. If there is a dark horse in this tasting, the 1998 is it. Beautiful. (AG)" (02/2014)

Bid on this bottle of 2011 Domaine Raveneau Chablis 1er Cru "Montmain" ((89-92BH), (89-91ST), 91VN). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "An intensely floral nose displays added breadth in the form of mineral reduction and citrus notes. There is good verve to the acceptably concentrated flavors that possess a notably finer texture compared to those of the Forêts. I like the precision and salty character of the impressively long finish. To be sure, this is a wine of finesse and while it is not as concentrated as the best of these 1ers, the balance is impeccable." (09/2012)

Of the 1995 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "A blend of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Cabernet Franc, the 1995 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa has turned out even better than the 1994. It possesses a more saturated ruby/purple color, as well as a more flamboyant and exotic bouquet. Moreoever, it seems less evolved. 2012 Spottswoode "Family Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Spottswoode "Family Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 98JS, 96VN, 95WE, 94ST, 90W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "With the lowest percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon in of any of the wines from this vertical, the 2012 final blend was 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot. Production across the board in 2012 was high, and reflected in the 3,977 cases made at Spottswoode. This is a dramatic, flamboyant, modern-day version of the 2002. Dramatic blueberry, black raspberry and blackcurrant fruit, along with camphor, charcoal, white flowers and foresty notes all emerge from the impressive aromatics that soar from the glass. The intense, explosively rich, full-bodied palate is layered with beautiful purity, stunningly sweet, silky tannins and terrific presence and complexity. This is a gorgeous wine on a relatively fast evolutionary track, I suspect, but certainly it has 30 years of upside left. (RP)" (08/2016)

2002 Donnhoff Oberhauser Brucke Nahe Riesling Eiswein (375ml)
Bid on this half-bottle lot of 2002 Donnhoff Oberhauser Brucke Nahe Riesling Eiswein (375ml) (100RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2002 Riesling Eiswein Oberhauser Brucke is a grand slam home run for Donnhoff. It is so intense, so powerful, and so complex as to instill fear in the taster. Its apricot and peach cobbler aromas lead to a jellied core of cassis, raspberries, syrupy slate, and oodles of spices. It is simply amazing that a wine of this richness, ripeness, and depth can retain perfect definition, grip, and refinement. What is truly terrifying, however, is that Donnhoff produced a three-star Eiswein from the same vineyard in 2002, one he presumably considers better than this sublime nectar. Part of me is grateful that I was unable to taste it, however, as I have only 100 points with which to work. Bravo! Projected maturity: 2015-2040+. (PR)" (02/2004)

Made from 20-year-old Wente clones, Aubert says this wine is a throwback to the old Helen Turley Hudson Vineyard Chardonnays from the early 1990s. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1985 Joseph Phelps "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The backward 1985 Eisele Vineyard is marvelously concentrated, but extremely tannic and at least 5-10 years away from full maturity. Impressively endowed, well-focused, dense, powerful, thick, and tannic, this wine leaves little doubt that the extract, ripeness, and quantity of fruit are more than sufficient to balance out the wine's tannic ferocity. This is a huge, massive, stunningly proportioned Cabernet Sauvignon that should hit its stride by the turn of the century and last for two decades. (RP)" (04/1995)

Wine & Spirits: "At this stage, this feels much more open and generous than its Sonnenuhr counterpart, showing bright, floral flavors of tangerine and white peach. Its bold, rounded depth of fruit reveals more nuance and complexity the longer this sits in the glass, and it should feel even more focused and complete in a few years, after shedding its initial puppy fat." 2006 Domaine Michel Lafarge Volnay
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Domaine Michel Lafarge Volnay (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Unusually white wine- almost Gruner Veltliner-like overtones of cress and citrus oil mingle with scents of ripe cherry and brown spices in the nose of Lafarge's 2006 Volnay. Bright, sappy concentration of fruit accented by pungent spice and zest as well as bitter cherry pit and tart fruit skin lead to an invigorating finish that nicely integrates suggestions of marzipan and vanilla into a delightfully dynamic interplay. This personification of Pinot purity and vivacity should remain a charmer anytime over at least the next half dozen years. (DS)" (12/2009)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "It is very interesting to taste the 2010 Nuits St. Georges Clos de la Marechale after the Grand Crus and the Amoureuses. It is easily the darkest and most tannic of the 2010s. The Marechale shows marvelous depth and the richness to match its decidedly powerful, virile personality. This has tons of fruit and muscle, yet also possesses the fabulous inner perfume and mineral-driven energy that is such a signature of the vintage. This is an impressive showing. Of the 2000 Grand-Puy-Lacoste, Pauillac,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2000 Château Grand Puy Lacoste is an exceptional wine from Xavier Borie. It has a brilliant nose of blackberry, crushed stone, graphite and cedar. Putting it to one side for ten to 15 minutes reveals subtle mint-like aromas that whisk you straight to Pauillac. The palate is smooth and silky, cloaking the tannic frame of this GPL so that you barely notice it. But that will stand it in good stead for the long-term, the cornerstone of all great wines from this estate. Then there is that hint of spice on the aftertaste—the show ain't over yet. Served alongside a magnum of Pichon Baron 2000, I would say that at the moment, it does not quite possess the same level of preci

2004 Domaine Macle Château-Chalon (620ml)
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Domaine Macle Château-Chalon (620ml). From the importer: "Laurent Macle is the 7th generation winemaker of Domaine Macle. He works closely with his father, Jean, to produce some of the top wines from the Jura. They render sous voile or “under veil,” a semi-oxidative style of wine. Vin Jaune is not made every year: a committee of wine growers visits the vineyards to determine if it can be produced that year, depending on the grape quality. Jean has a knowledge of the chemistry of Vin Jaune production that is second to none and is known as the true master of Château-Chalon, while his son, Laurent, continues to learn more every year so that he may live up to his father’s reputation."

2012 Henri Boillot Bonnes Mares Grand Cru
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Henri Boillot Bonnes Mares Grand Cru ((95-97VN), 94ST, 93BH, 93RP). Vinous: "Boillot's 2012 Bonnes Mares is wonderfully lifted, layered and perfumed, much of that coming from the inclusion of 50% whole clusters and the location of this parcel, which sits on the Chambolle side. Layered and beautifully expressive, the 2012 presents deep, intense layers of ripe, sweet fruit supported by beams of insistent salinity. What a gorgeous wine this is. Henri Boillot is very proud of this wine. It's easy to see why. (AG)" (01/2014)

2005 Ridge "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 2005 Ridge "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (97RP, 97W&S, 95ST, 93CG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "While in a good year there's normally 4,000 cases of the Monte Bello, there was a scant 2,200 cases produced of the 2005 Monte Bello. Thick, massive, and concentrated with ample currants, lead pencil, licorice and chocolate aromas and flavors, this full-bodied beauty is just now at the early stages of adolescence, and has plenty of underlying tannic grip still present. It should hit full maturity in another 4-5 years and hold for 2-3 decades after that. (JD)" (10/2015)

2013 Chalk Hill "Estate" Chalk Hill Red Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Chalk Hill "Estate" Chalk Hill Red Blend (96RP, 92WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Proprietary Red Estate is a blend of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Malbec, 12% Petit Verdot and the rest Carignane, Syrah and Merlot. This is another titanic effort from proprietor Foley. A spectacular dense-purple color and sweet toasty oak intermixed with licorice, blackberry, cassis and graphite are all present in this profound first-growth quality blend that should age effortlessly for 25-30 or more years. This is a stunner and a revelation. Chalk Hill Estate, the notable property that defined the Chalk Hill AVA, is now owned by William P. Foley II, an ambitious entrepreneur who has purchased a lot of top-end vineyards. (RP)" (03/2016)

Bid on this bottle of 2005 Opus One Napa Valley Proprietary Red (95RP, 93VN, 92JS, 92ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The opaque purple-hued 2005 exhibits an extraordinary nose of violets, creme de cassis, charcoal, and spring flowers. Gorgeously pure, opulently full-bodied, with sweet tannins, superb concentration, and a low acid, ripe, tannic finish, it tastes like a top-notch vintage of ripe Bordeaux, but made in California. It can be drunk now and over the next 20-25 years. Bravo! (RP)" (12/2008)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Domaine Francois & Antoine Jobard Meursault 1er Cru "Poruzots" (92BH, (90-92ST), 90RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Very pure, high-pitched aromas of pear, white peach and flowers. Juicy, spicy and tightly wound, with surprisingly strong acidity for Poruzots in a ripe year giving the mid-palate a sharply chiseled character. The flavors of apple, pear, spices and honey spread out and mount on the long finish. " (09/2014)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Aubert "Larry Hyde and Sons Vineyard" Carneros Chardonnay ((95-97RP), 95JS, 94VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "His 2015 Chardonnay Larry Hyde& Sons, like many of the 2015s and a consistent characteristic of most of Aubert’s wines, comes from mostly old Wente clones as well, and has a bright gold/greenish hue to its color as well as a big, sweet kiss of caramelized citrus, apple blossom, white peach and a touch of pineapple. It is a beautiful wine, with a full-bodied mouthfeel and a long, zesty finish. (RP)" (10/2016)

2001 Dalla Valle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2001 Dalla Valle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 94WE, 93ST, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Two terrific wines from Dalla Valle, the 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon (a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc) from their hillside vineyards in Oakville, exhibits a dense purple color along with a beautifully sweet perfume of cedarwood, creme de cassis, incense and spice box. Full-bodied and rich with gorgeous purity and texture as well as a multidimensional mouthfeel, it still has some tannins to shed and tastes like it is only 4-5 years old. It has at least two decades of life ahead of it. (RP)" (06/2011)

2009 Hundred Acre "Ark Vineyard" Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Hundred Acre "Ark Vineyard" Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 96ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Ark Vineyard emerges from a parcel of old, volcanic soils that inform the wine to a significant degree. A vivid kaleidoscope of iron, ash, tar, smoke, crushed rocks and dark red berries take shape as this fabulous, pedigreed wine shows off its considerable personality. A cool, inward wine, the Ark is all about minerality and pure tension as a backdrop for the characteristic Hundred Acre fruit. A huge, mineral-soaked finish rounds things out in style. The 2009 is the rare Hundred Acre wine that is not likely to offer immediate pleasure. It will more than make up for that in the future. I can’t wait to see how this explosive, beguiling Cabernet develops over the next few years. (AG)" (12/2012)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Vosne-Romanee Aux Malconsorts blossoms with endless layers of dark fruit. This is a totally sensual, enveloping wine graced with finesse, class and elegance. 2010 Domaine Henri Gouges Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru "Les St. Georges"
Bid on this bottle of 2010 Domaine Henri Gouges Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru "Les St. Georges" (95ST, (92-94BH), (91-93RP)). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright medium red. Lovely high-toned aromas of currant, dried flowers, stone, tobacco, leather and earth. Silky and concentrated, with terrific lift and noble rusticity to its rich, sharply delineated red fruit flavors. Really saturates the entire mouth without leaving any impression of weight. The tannins are completely enrobed by the wine's velvety texture. This impeccably balanced wine leaves the taste buds vibrating. Boasts the class and texture of a grand cru. I recently opened a bottle of the 1993 and the family resemblance was clear. But the 2010 boasts suaver tannins and greater refinement. (ST)" (03/2013)

Bid on this bottle of 1985 Veuve Clicquot "Rare" Brut Rosé Champagne (95W&S, 94WE, 93WS, 91RP). Wine & Spirits: "This wine's elegance starts with the delicate, salmon-pink color and runs right through the luscious, succulent flavors of strawberries. It's chalky and lithe, the flavors lasting with an exotic edge of litchi and Brazil nuts. A beautifully mature wine, this offers tremendous pleasure on its own or with seared Coho salmon and wild mushrooms." (12/2006)

Bid on this bottle of 2010 Domaine Armand Rousseau Ruchottes-Chambertin Grand Cru "Clos des Ruchottes" ((95-97RP), 95ST, 93BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Ruchottes-Chambertin is an intensely cool, reticent wine. The bouquet recalls the Mazis, but then the firm Ruchottes tannins set in. Ultimately the Ruchottes is built on purity, definition and nuance. The chiseled aromas and flavors possess stunning detail, but it will be some time before the 2010 is ready to drink. Still, I very much like the energy and drive. Bright, floral notes add lift and vibrancy on the finish. Anticipated maturity: 2025-2045. (AG) " (02/2012)

2007 Beringer "Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (375ml)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the finest Private Reserves made over the last two decades, this phenomenal wine is obviously still an infant in terms of development, but it exhibits a dense purple color as well as an extraordinary nose of blackberries, white chocolate, licorice, tobacco leaf, smoky barbecue, charcoal and a burning ember-like note reminiscent of a Graves from Bordeaux. A dense, luscious, full-bodied, opulent style, with sweet tannin, this locked and loaded, intense, full throttle Private Reserve should be accessible in 5-6 years and last for 25-30. Bid on this magnum lot of 2010 Domaine Marquis d'Angerville Volnay 1er Cru "Champans" (1.5L) ((94-96RP), 94BH, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Volnay Champans wafts from the glass with an ethereal, nearly weightless personality that is hard to describe. There is plenty of length and sensuality, but in a suspended state that seems to hover above the palate. The Champans is delicate, feminine and flat-out beautiful. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2040.
