2012 Bedrock Wine Company North Coast Syrah
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Bedrock Wine Company North Coast Syrah ((91-94RP), 90ST, 90VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Syrah North Coast is a multi-appellation blend from five separate vineyards that utilized 40% stems and 15% new French oak. It is a delicious, sexy, up-front Syrah meant for near-term consumption. With impressive levels of blackberry and acacia flower notes intermixed with licorice and charcoal, this wine should drink well for 5-7 years. (RP)" (12/2013)

2001 Colgin "Tychson Hill" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2001 Colgin "Tychson Hill" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 98VN, 97WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Tychson Hill Vineyard (a valley floor site planted on a slight incline north of St. Helena) exhibits an opaque purple color as well as a beautifully sweet nose of creme de cassis, licorice, lead pencil shavings and pen ink. A classic Napa Cabernet Sauvignon with sweet tannin, full-bodied power and gorgeous purity and intensity, it will benefit from another 5-7 years of cellaring and should keep for 30+ years. 2007 Domaine William Fèvre Chablis Grand Cru "Les Preuses"
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine William Fèvre Chablis Grand Cru "Les Preuses" (96RP, 95WE, 94BH, 94ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Chablis Preuses – reflecting the nearly one-quarter of this site (in two parcels) that Fevre owns – immediately forces the taster into a crustacean vocabulary, with the mineral, saline, sweet, and seductively savory character of scallops and lobster shell reduction coming to mind. A superb creaminess and uncanny sense of underlying density combines with levity and subtly citric refreshment – imagine a rich, creamy shellfish stock whipped to a froth – while wafting iris perfume and the wine’s sheer extract combine for a sense of sugar-free sweetness in a soothing, sensationally long and distinctive finish. Lucky are those who can follow a few bottles of this for the next dozen or more years. (DS)" (12/2009)

2013 Realm "Farella Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Realm "Farella Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 97JS, 95VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From the southeastern AVA Coombsville in the Vaca Mountains, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Farella Vineyard is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from white tufa and decomposed red volcanic sedimentary soils. For whatever reason, it seems that people who buy from this vineyard make better wine than the actual owners, which I'm sad to say, is not exactly what proprietors Tom and Frank Farella would like to hear. This is a terrific Cabernet Sauvignon made from clones 4 and 8, offering a rich nose of blackberries, dark earth, a touch of barrique, and some baking spices. The wine is rich, full-bodied, tannic and backward. Deep and super-concentrated, it needs another 2-3 years of cellaring, but should last another 25-30 years. (RP)" (12/2015)

1998 Opus One Napa Valley Proprietary Red
Bid on this bottle of 1998 Opus One Napa Valley Proprietary Red (93VN). Vinous: "Next to the 1997, the 1998 Opus One is naturally a bit slender, but it, too, boasts striking balance. Savory herbs, mint, licorice and plums are woven together in a fabric of notable class. Still young and vibrant, the 1998 is an excellent choice for drinking now and over the next decade. The focus, length and persistence are all super-impressive, especially within the context of a challenging vintage. The 1998 is 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc, 5% Merlot, 1% Malbec and 1% Petit Verdot. (AG)" (06/2013)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine La Pousse d'Or Volnay 1er Cru "Clos de la Bousse d'Or" (93ST, 92BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright, dark red. Very ripe, musky aromas of red berries, cherry, spices, mocha and underbrush. Sappy and supple, with harmonious acidity giving shape to the seamless red fruit flavors. Quite suave and rich but not at all thick or heavy. Finishes with very fine tannins and superb length and lift. Owner Patrick Landanger told me that he has pulled out 40% of the old virused vines in this vineyard since the 2009 harvest, as they were yielding very little crop. (ST) 93+" (03/2013)

1978 Heitz Cellar "Fay" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1978 Heitz Cellar "Fay" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. 94 points John Gilman, The View from the Cellar: "I have now had the pleasure to drink the 1978 Heitz Cellars’ Fay Vineyard bottling on three occasions in the last couple of years, and it is a beautiful example of this top notch vintage. The bouquet soars from the glass in a very pure and à point mélange of black cherries, chipotle peppers, eucalyptus, tobacco, a nice touch of chocolate, Rutherford spice tones, woodsmoke and just a hint of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and very suave on the attack, with a great core of ripe fruit, lovely soil tones, impeccable focus and balance, melting tannins and a very long, tangy and vibrant finish. Like so many of the very best examples of the 1978 cabernets, the Fay Vineyard bottling is at its apogee, but shows absolutely no signs of slowing down anytime in the next several decades. This was a very fitting close to this brief, but glori

2012 Scarecrow "M. Étain" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Scarecrow "M. Étain" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon M. Etain is in essence a second wine, but it sure doesn’t taste like one. Its deep purple color is followed by pure black raspberry and blackcurrant fruit, dusty, loamy soil notes, extraordinary depth of fruit, ripeness and good acidity. This opulent, round beauty is ideal for drinking over the next decade or more. One of the classic wines of Napa Valley, Scarecrow’s Cabernet Sauvignons are made by well-known winemaking consultant Celia Welch. This historic vineyard in Rutherford, which owns some of the oldest vines in all of Napa, continues to turn out some of Napa’s most profound Cabernet Sauvignons. (RP)" (10/2014)

2006 Saxum "Broken Stones" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Saxum "Broken Stones" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (97RP, 96WS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Broken Stones (63% Syrah, 24% Grenache, and 13% Mourvedre) blew me away. An inky/purple color and a dazzling, explosive bouquet of black raspberries, camphor, cassis, forest floor, and spring flowers are followed by a rich, elegant wine offering laser-like precision as well as a striking minerality. It is a powerful yet graceful effort that should drink well for 10-12+ years. One of California’s super-star producers, Saxum owns one of the state’s most remarkable vineyard sites, the James Berry Vineyard, which has been broken into a number of different blocks, all planted on rocky limestone hillsides. This estate’s approach to winemaking is decidedly artisinal, with extraordinarily small yields as well as a minimalistic winemaking philosophy. (RP)" (08/2009)

2006 Quilceda Creek "Galitzine" Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Quilceda Creek "Galitzine" Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Galitzine Vineyard, located in the Red Mountain AVA, is 100% varietal. Dark ruby/purple in color, it delivers an enticing nose of pain grille, pencil lead, earth notes, spice box, violets, and assorted black fruits. On the palate it is dense, ripe, full-bodied, and structured. Still a bit tightly wound, it will reveal its full potential with another 5-7 years of cellaring. It will provide much pleasure from 2015 to 2026 at the least. (JM)" (10/2009)

2006 August West "Rosella's Vineyard" Santa Lucia Highlands Syrah
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2006 August West "Rosella's Vineyard" Santa Lucia Highlands Syrah. According to the winemaker: "Situated in the center of the Santa Lucia Highlands appellation is Gary Franscioni's Rosella's Vineyard. With perfect southeast exposure, the 50 acres of vineyard were planted over the course of seven years (1996-2003). The deep Arroyo Seco sandy loam soil that lies beneath the vineyard provides a hospitable home for the vines at Rosella's. Gary farms the vineyard on a vine by vine basis, making sure that each vine's root system is well-established before allowing a crop to hang. These same soils could easily ripen a crop three times the size of Rosella's typical two to three tons per acre, however Gary chooses to keep the tonnage low to make sure the terroir of Rosella's comes through in each cluster. Nearby Monterey Bay holds an immense influence over the weather at Rosella's Vineyard. Typical growing days are marked by dense fog in the early morning hours fo

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A compelling example of this noble terroir in the northeastern sector of Napa Valley, the 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Eisele Vineyard still has a dense purple color and possesses a seamless personality with spectacular notes of licorice, incense, black raspberries, black currants, crushed rock, and spring flowers. Stunningly full-bodied, multi-layered, with great purity and expression, this fabulous wine is still youthful but very accessible, as the tannins are velvety and well-integrated. An explosive bouquet leads to vibrant fruit in this highly articulate, nuanced wine. The tannins are a bit firm, but all the Theriot needs is another few years in bottle. All of the elements are there for this to be a spectacular wine in another few years. Black cherries, sweet herbs, white flowers inform the exuberant finish. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Domaine Armand Rousseau Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru ((88-90BH), (87-90ST)). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Palish bright red. Candied cherry and raspberry lifted by minerals on the nose. Silky and perfumed, with lovely cut to the flavors of raspberry, flowers and minerals. Not at all overly sweet, but the tannins are on the light side. Rousseau noted that most of his 2008s have just started taking on color in the last couple of weeks, but this one seems a bit behind the rest. 1995 Seavey Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1995 Seavey Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Seavey has produced some exceptional Cabernet Sauvignons, and I predict the 1995 (950 cases) will be an unexpected winner in many blind tastings. It is performing even better this year than it did last, hence my elevated score. The color is an opaque purple. The wine displays a fantastic nose of classic black currants intermixed with cigar box and cedar scents. In the mouth, it is full-bodied and backward, but persuasively rich, layered, and marvelously well-balanced. There is a deep, sweet mid-palate and explosive ripeness and richness in the long, heady finish. (13.9% alcohol) A sleeper pick in this outstanding vintage, it should evolve effortlessly for 20-30 years. Anticipated maturity: 2002-2028." (12/1998)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1997 Tenuta del Terricio "Lupicaia" Toscana (95ST, 94VN, 93WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Inky ruby-purple. Huge but focused aromas of roasted sweet black fruits, caramel, cinnamon and mint. Round but rock-solid, almost chewy in its density, with the balancing acidity to maintain the freshness of its minty blackcurrant fruit. Extremely rich through to the very long finish. 1996 Philip Togni Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1996 Philip Togni Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 93WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Each year Togni releases about 100 cases of a 10-year old Cabernet... It is a fabulous example of Togni’s visionary winemaking style. This inky/ruby/purple-tinged wine still tastes like a young adolescent. The extraordinary aromatics offer up scents of smoke, spices, sweet blackberries and cassis, saddle leather, and pain grille. With fabulous texture and sweet tannin, this remarkably young wine is a profound example of mountain Cabernet Sauvignon that should last for another two decades or more. (RP)" (12/2006)

2005 Joh. Jos. Prüm Bernkasteler Badstube Riesling Spätlese
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2005 Joh. Jos. Prüm Bernkasteler Badstube Riesling Spätlese ((91-92RP), 91VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Bernkasteler Badstube Riesling Spatlese – like the other Prum wines I tasted, finished but not yet bottled – while undeniably rich, retains remarkably bright, fresh, crisp fruit and citrus acidity as well as pleasantly tart and chewy citrus zest and berry skin notes, nicely offsetting the sweetness and lending an invigorating drinkability that one does not always associate with the wines of this estate in their extreme youth. Deep suggestions of toasted walnut, cherry pit, and wet stone inform the silken-textured palate of this ravishing juicy, bell-clear Riesling. The nose of cherry, citrus, and spice is very slightly muted by fermentative aromas but the rest of this wine represents unrestrained satisfaction that one could begin deriving surprisingly early or defer for several decades. Bid on this magnum lot of 2009 Barde-Haut, St-Emilion (1.5L) (94RP, 93ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Made from tiny yields of 18 hectoliters per hectare (May hail damage resulted in this small crop), the opaque purple-colored 2009 reveals an extraordinary nose of mulberries, black cherries, charcoal, barbecue smoke and forest floor. Rich, full-bodied and opulent with silky tannins as well as a broad, unctuous texture, this beauty can be enjoyed now and over the next 15+ years. 2002 Bollinger "Grande Année" Brut Champagne (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 2002 Bollinger "Grande Année" Brut Champagne (1.5L) (98W&S, 97JS, 94RP, 94ST, 94WS). Wine & Spirits: "There is Champagne, and then there is 2002 Bollinger. This wine makes me dizzy, stammering in cross-eyed bliss. Taking a step back, the sustained chord of flavor comes into focus, revealing a limestone honey: scents of acacia, marzipan, apricot and golden citrus. Jamal Rayyis, one of our tasters with the broadest flavor library in his head, described the scent as loomi (dried lime) and dried apricot, as if walking into a Middle Eastern market. Flavor details aside, the wine’s richness softens the structural grandeur of the vintage, which is buoyed in a mineral bath of power. This will reward another ten or 20 years of age, and the bottles that remain will likely only feed the wine’s legend." (12/2011)

1983 Léoville-Poyferre, St-Julien
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1983 Léoville-Poyferre, St-Julien (91RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "One of the superstar 1983s that is not beginning to crack up and decline, Leoville-Poyferre’s effort exhibits a dark garnet color, a sweet nose of plum liqueur intermixed with licorice, black currants, weedy tobacco, and herbes de Provence. The wine is round, seductive, with a certain degree of opulence, low acidity, gorgeous fruit, and a nice layered palate impression. It makes for quite a seductive style of wine. (RP)" (01/2003)

Full-bodied, offering a lovely texture and refinement. Very long and beautiful, with tangy acidity and lively fruit. A rich, yet very balanced, Calon. This is almost all Cabernet Sauvignon instead of the normal blend with 40 percent Merlot. The château is now using 100 percent new wood. Like the changes. (JS, Web Only-2010)"

2013 Cayuse "Wallah Wallah Special #5" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (1.5L) (OWC)
Bid on this 1.5 liter 1-bottle lot of 2013 Cayuse "Wallah Wallah Special #5" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (1.5L) (OWC - 96RP, 93VN, 93WE) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the most complete, layered and elegant 2013s from Cayuse is the 2013 Syrah Walla Walla Special #5, which is made from two separate parcels that remind Christophe of the northern Rhone’s Jamet brother’s Cote Rotie. He also keeps the price low as a thank you to his customers. Giving up classic cool climate notes of green olives, black cherries, scorched earth, ash and ripe herbs, this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness, no hard edges, incredibly fine tannin and a finish that just keeps going. I thoroughly enjoyed drinking it today, but it will be better with 4-5 years of cellaring and have two decades or more of overall longevity. (JD)" (06/2016)

2001 Celler de Capçanes "Cabrida" Montsant (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 2001 Celler de Capçanes "Cabrida" Montsant (1.5L) (94RP, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Made from 100% Grenache (90-103 year old vines planted at 900 meters), the 2001 Cabrida was cropped at 16 hectoliters per hectare, and spent 16 months in new French oak. There are 4,800 bottles of this sumptuous, inky/purple-colored offering. Rich aromas of briery fruit, raspberries, blackberries, crushed stone, and flowers emerge from a glass of this Spanish red. It boasts superb purity, tremendous intensity, and a full-bodied, long, flowing finish. I’m not sure how well it will evolve, but certainly for drinking over the next 5-7 years, it delivers tremendous complexity as well as intensity. (RP)" (04/2004)

Bid on this magnum lot of 2012 Domaine Anne et Hervé Sigaut Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Fuées" (1.5L) ((88-91BH)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "There is a deft touch of wood setting off the aromas of plum, black cherry and wet stone where the latter element is very much front and center on the detailed and highly energetic middle weight flavors. The supporting tannins are moderately firm and clearly ripe though they are perhaps a bit less refined than I am used to seeing with this wine. Overall I like the depth of material and this may surprise to the upside if it harmonizes. Drink: 2018+" (01/2014)

The long, silky mouthfeel belies the latent power in reserve--and there's a lot of it, with waves of grip driving the finish. Best from 2010 through 2030. (JM)" (12/2009)
