Bid on this bottle of 2009 Domaine Arnaud Ente Bourgogne Blanc. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Bourgogne Chardonnay comes across as big, boisterous and full of life. It is a sunny, radiant white oozing with personality. Readers seeking a fruit-forward Bourgogne for current drinking that won’t break the bank will find plenty to admire here. I loved it. 2002 Vérité "La Muse" Sonoma County Red Wine
Bid on this bottle of 2002 Vérité "La Muse" Sonoma County Red Wine (99RP, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This 93% Merlot / 7% Cabernet Franc blend (92% from the Alexander Mountain Estate, 6% from Bennett Valley and 2% from Knight’s Valley) is a 'kissing cousin' of the 2001, only softer and more flamboyant. Classically Californian in its exuberant, flamboyant, super-rich, unctuously textured style, the tannins are softer than in the 2001, but the wine unquestionably has the potential to last for another quarter of a century. It exhibits an opaque plum/purple color along with abundant notes of cassis, licorice, graphite, coffee cake and spice box. More approachable than the 2001, the 2002 will offer phenomenal drinking over the next 25 years. (RP)" (06/2012)

Very dark aromas of black cherry, blackberry, bitter chocolate and earth. Broad but a bit youthfully tough, offering less easy sweetness today than the Boudots. Finishes with substantial building dusty tannins and noteworthy power. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Lignier-Michelot Morey-St-Denis "En la Rue de Vergy" (93AG). Antonio Galloni: "Lignier’s 2011 Morey St. Denis En la Rue de Vergy comes across as especially silky and refined in this vintage. Crushed flowers, sweet red fruit, crushed rocks are all layered together in a finely chiseled, pointed wine. High-toned floral notes add lift and energy on the finish. This is one of the most polished wines I have tasted from Virgile Lignier. Clean, saline-infused notes from the limestone-rich soils frame the fruit beautifully. The 2011 was done with 30% whole clusters." (11/2012)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Its dense ruby/purple color is followed by beautiful aromas of blueberries, black currants, acacia flowers, licorice, and spice. The tannins are softer than I remember, but this is certainly one of the vintage’s most extraordinary wines. Full-bodied with a seamless integration of tannin, acidity, alcohol, and wood, it is exceptionally pure and full as well as impeccably balanced. The impression is one of elegance allied with substantial flavor authority. It can be drunk now or cellared for 25+ years." (12/2008)

An extraordinary bouquet of flowers, cedar, tobacco leaf, black currants, blueberries, chocolate, and scorched earth scents is followed by a wine of prodigious concentration, purity, depth, and sweet tannins. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Sine Qua Non "Patine - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Santa Rita Hills Grenache (97RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Coming all from Manfred's Eleven Confessions Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills and a blend of 77% Grenache, 22% Syrah and 1% Viognier (fermented with 25% whole clusters), the 2011 Grenache Patine spent a full 33 months in almost all neutral oak, with just 11% being new. It offers perfumed and spice-laced notes of white pepper, black raspberry, blackberry and ground herbs that flow to a full-bodied, elegant, nicely concentrated 2011 that has nicely integrated acidity, no hard edges and a terrific finish. It's certainly one of the fresher, more elegant Grenaches from Manfred, yet it still has rocking levels of fruit. Give it 2-3 years of cellaring and enjoy bottles over the following decade. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 96ST, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Monte Bello ,72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot and 6% Petit Verdot is simply magnificent. Layers of dark red fruit, flowers, spices and graphite are all woven together in this utterly impeccable wine. The 2009 is an especially huge, intense Monte Bello, yet a sexy, silky core of fruit lies within its imposing frame. Everything comes together in this glorious, radiant wine. Last year the 2009 had some pretty stiff competition from the 2010, but today it is simply firing on all cylinders. Eric Baugher describes 2009 as a year with cold weather early on, followed by heat in early June and July. The fruit was brought in on October 12, just before an intense downpour swept through the region. There is a purity and silkiness supported by structure in the 2009 that is impossible not to admire. 2007 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 96WE, 95ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A monumental wine in the making, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon is one of those wines that presents such an over the top array of aromas and flavors that it’s hard to figure out what you think about it with just a quick glance. It’s only with the second or third sip that you really start to see how special this effort truly is. Offering up perfumed, intense aromas of plum, violets, ink, licorice and black currants, it flows onto the palate with a massive, incredibly full-bodied texture that builds through the mid-palate and carries layers of polished tannins, awesome purity of fruit and blockbuster length. Most likely not for everyone given the sheer size, it is an incredible wine in my opinion. Still tasting like a barrel sample, it will have 30+ total years of longevity. Drink 2017-2037. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 97RP, 96JS, 96ST, 95WE, 94WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Not unexpectedly, the 2005 Harlan Estate performed slightly better than it did last year. As these wines often do, it continues to put on weight as it is bottled very late by Napa standards, and there is no fining or filtration. The 2005 exhibits a gorgeous thick-looking, ruby/purple color in addition to a beautiful nose of burning embers interwoven with creme de cassis, roasted meats, sweet black truffles, and spring flowers. A hint of lead pencil shavings also emerges from this cuvee, which seems to want to be both a Pauillac and a ripe vintage of La Mission Haut Brion. Full-bodied, dense, pure, and revealing sweeter tannin than I remember, it can be drunk now, but it will no doubt display even greater complexity in 10, 20, and 30 years. (RP)" (12/2008)

Of the 2012 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon, CCS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer to Kalon Vineyard CCS is Clone 4 from another block, and always seems to hit all the sweet spots on my palate. It’s aged 20 months in 100% new Darnajou barrels. The good news is there are 520 cases of it. Full-bodied with velvety tannins that have resolved themselves beautifully over the last eleven years, this wine is still an adolescent, but it exhibits admirable purity, texture, mouthfeel and power combined with elegance. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Like many of its peers, the 1998 has filled out spectacularly. Now in the bottle, this opaque black/purple-colored offering has increased in stature, richness, and size. A blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, and 2% Cabernet Franc (57% of the production was utilized), it is an extremely powerful, super-concentrated wine offering notes of roasted espresso, creme de cassis, smoke, new saddle leather, graphite, and licorice. It is massive, with awesome concentration, mouth-searing tannin levels, and a saturated flavor profile that grips the mouth with considerable intensity. This is a 50-year Mouton, but patience will be required as it will not be close to drinkability for at least a decade. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2050." (04/2001)

Medium-full bodied with medium-firm, fine grained tannins and crisp acid, there’s plenty of expressive fruit in the mouth giving a good long finish. The inky/ruby/purple-colored 2006 Chateauneuf du Pape Deus-Ex Machina reveals notes of graphite, roasted meats, figs, plums, blackberries, and smoked herbs. Bid on this 3-magnum lot of 2009 Domaine de Montille Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru (1.5L) (94BH, 93RP). Allen Meadows - Burghound: " *Don't miss!* A quite densely fruited nose delivers real complexity as well as elegance with mostly floral notes to the otherwise ripe green apple and stone aromas. There is excellent richness to the full-bodied, serious and textured broad-shouldered flavors that possess an abundance of palate staining extract that culminate in a focused, powerful and explosive finish. This is terrific and should improve for up to a decade." (02/2011)

Of the 2001 Bond "Melbury" Napa Valley Red Blend,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon Melbury, which comes from a hillside vineyard site near Lake Hennessey, is showing even better than it did in its youth. Probably years away from full maturity, the wine has an extraordinary aromatic profile of smoky meats intermixed with blackberry, creme de cassis, charcoal, lead pencil shavings and espresso. Dense, opulent and full-bodied, with terrific fruit, this is a showcase style of vintage for a wine of such great ripeness and massive intensity. This extraordinary effort displays oodles of glycerin and fabulous

1998 Domaine Louis Jadot Bonnes Mares Grand Cru
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1998 Domaine Louis Jadot Bonnes Mares Grand Cru (93ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good full red-ruby. Liqueur-like red fruits, tar and sappy oak scents; almost surmuri yet highly aromatic and fresh. Concentrated, sweet and full; denser than the '99, with notes of raspberry and roasted nuts. Firmly structured and very long, with sweet, even tannins. Very strong wine. "A hot August, followed by early September rain, producing a small crop of small grapes. With a lot of maceration we got interesting wines."" (10/2002)

Bid on this 3-magnum lot of 2008 J.J. Confuron Clos Vougeot Grand Cru (1.5L) (93ST, 92BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good medium red with a hint of amber at the rim. Complex aromas of ripe cherry, menthol and wild herbs; very Clos Vougeot. Silky-sweet, dense and energetic; sappy, fruit-driven wine with excellent stuffing. Rigorous and taut without being hard. A superb vintage for this wine. Alain Meunier told me he did a strict triage in 2008, and the selection has clearly paid off here. (ST)" (03/2011)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Bonnes Mares opens with gorgeous aromatics that lead to a muscular core of fruit. The wine finds its inner elegance on the mid-palate and finish, where hints of candied fruit and violets come together, adding lift and elegance. The combination of aromatic expressiveness and nuanced fruit elevate this to a very high level. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2034. (AG)" (05/2011)

2009 Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret Echézeaux Grand Cru "Vieilles Vignes" (OWC)
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret Echézeaux Grand Cru "Vieilles Vignes" (OWC - (90-93BH)) in original wood. Allen Meadows writes: "from vines in Les Rouges du Bas planted in 1929 - Mongeard indicated that in 2009 he used 25% whole clusters. Somewhat surprisingly given the high percentage of new wood, this is reduced. As is usually the case however, the big-bodied and extremely concentrated flavors are brimming with extract which confers a seductive mouth feel to the austere and long but ever-so-mildly warm finish. The wood isn't shy on the finish but if there is any wine in the range that can successfully integrate its oak treatment, this is it." (Burghound, 01/11)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Bernard Dugat-Py Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru ((95-98RP), 94BH, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Reminiscent of liquid satin, the candied black fruit, rose, and spice-scented 2002 Charmes-Chambertin seduces with its mouth-coating, harmonious personality. Loads of dark cherries, blackberries, spices, and raspberries are found in this generous, awesomely ripe wine. 'Sweet, sweet, sweet' read my notes... Decadently powerful yet supple, and armed with great purity, it will be at its finest between 2007-2017. (PR)" (06/2004)

Multidimensional, soil-driven nose features wild red berries, smoke, minerals, dried rose, mocha, underbrush and an exhilarating suggestion of white flowers. Like pure silk in the mouth but with pungent mineral lift giving this voluminous, extract-rich wine a nearly weightless impression. As fat, full and solid as this is, the overall impression is of finesse and perfume. Finishes with extraordinary mounting persistence and perfectly buffered, noble tannins." (03/2008)

Allen Meadows - Burghound: "An expressive nose of spice, citrus white flower and notably ripe yellow orchard fruit aromas introduces big, robust and thick flavors that retain reasonably good cut and detail and there is so much dry extract present that this has a chewy texture on the vibrant finish. This is not necessarily a wine of great elegance but it's one of dramatic size and weight." (03/2013)

A fresh but quite restrained and noticeably cool nose of herb and stone-infused wild red berry fruit aromas precedes impressively intense, powerful and agreeably rich medium-bodied flavors that ooze a fine minerality on the wonderfully detailed flavors that explode on the mouth coating and overtly stony finish. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Drouhin-Laroze Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru ((92-95BH)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A reserved and openly taciturn nose reluctantly reveals notes of a cool and exceptionally fresh mélange of plum and red berries that are freely cut with stone and warm earth nuances. The mouth feel is unusually refined and while there is excellent size, weight and concentration to the large-scaled flavors, the tannins are quite fine though dense and it's clear that this markedly persistent and youthfully austere effort will require plenty of cellar time. Note that while it's a minor distinction, this is not quite as austere as the Latricières. In a word, terrific." (01/2012)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine Comte de Vogüé Bonnes Mares Grand Cru (OWC - 94RP, 93BH, 93ST) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "De Vogue’s 2007 Bonnes Mares calls to mind sweet-tart black raspberry candies and herbal lozenges, along with notes of brown spices and smoky black tea. Rich, sedate, and provocatively sweet and perfumed, this manages simultaneously to preserve a saline savor and suggestion of lobster shell reduction that precludes anyone calling it a 'fruit bomb.' The smoky and--for lack of a better covering term-- 'mineral' elements accompany this Bonnes Mares' soothing finish all the way to its distant end. No doubt there is at least a decade’s worth of seduction and intrigue on hand, but here too, I would not hesitate to relish them significantly sooner. (DS)" (06/2010)

This should be excellent in time though note that patience is a key requisite." (01/2011)

Juicy and sharply focused, offering penetrating red fruit and rose pastille flavors and a sexy Asian spice flourish. The density, flavor intensity, richness, full-bodied power, elegance, and freshness are all hallmarks of this special vintage in the Central Coast. This wine should drink well for 10-12+ years. Of the 2005 Aubert "Reuling Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "There are 350 cases of the 2005 Chardonnay Reuling Vineyard, which comes from the Goldridge soils of this Sonoma Coast site. This Chardonnay comes from a clone suitcased over from the Montrachet vineyard in Burgundy. There is no doubting the liquid minerality, striking honeyed citrus, white currant, hazelnut, and brioche notes are more French than California, but the power and richness are pure New World. An absolutely remarkable Chardonnay that is certainly one of the top half dozen or so Chardonnays I have ever tasted from California, this is a stunningly proportioned, profound wine that should drink beautifully for 5-7 years,

The flavors are explosive yet refined, with notes of cherries, cola, pomegranates and plums.
